Island Dreams is a fantastic villa with great views. We stayed three weeks and had a wonderful time. The villa is clean and a well equipped kitchen. Many local places to eat and Cruz bay is only about 20 mins. Hansen beach is very close and a Jem to go to. The bedrooms are both the same with very nice bathrooms and AC and screens if you prefer a open door at night. The entrance courtyard is beautiful with many plantings which make the property private.

Great house with plenty of space and amenities. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Where to begin about this absolutely stunning property? My husband and I stayed for a week and couldn't have chosen a better house in St John. We had never been, so we were unsure about whether to stay in Cruz Bay or Coral Bay, but we tend to like things quieter when we vacation and this home gave us just that. From the minute we pulled in the drive, we knew it was the right choice. I'll start with the view - it's impossible to put into words, but it will take your breath away. The house was clean, and so very well stocked. I'm unsure if items were left from other renters or if it is always that well stocked, but we never had to buy toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies - everything was there and it was enough for us for the entire week. The kitchen had everything we needed. My husband is a chef, so we tend to eat several meals at home when we vacation and we were able to do so very easily. We grilled out several nights and ate under the stars in the most tranquil little dining area outside. The decks were such a cozy spot to curl up and read after a day at the beach or coming back from a hike. We had bad weather the first two days, but the house had so many games, cards and puzzles, we stayed entertained! We loved all the wildlife - goats, donkeys, chickens, deer to name a few in the area. They also kept us entertained! We absolutely loved our time here. The staff, management, owners all so wonderful. The house is perfect! We can't wait to come back! Thank you!

Last week we rented the Island Dreams property, to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was our 4th visit to St. John, and our first staying in Coral Bay. Also, was the first time ever renting a car, so was extremely happy/impressed, to be met by the caretakers at a nearby spot, and escorted by car to the house. Would have been a challenge in the dark the first time! The property is great, two king master suites, perfect for two couples, as well as a pullout and third bathroom if needed. The outdoor space was large, with a nice pool, and the views are spectacular! House is fully stocked with just about anything you might need, including beach toys, beach chairs and a couple coolers. Caretakers were extremely responsive and the owners were also great to work with! I would highly recommend this property, if you are interested in staying in Coral Bay. Definitely a little bit quieter than the Cruz Bay area, but enough good restaurants, to meet most needs. Highlights in the area, Johnny Lime, great barbecue. Rhumb Lines, slightly more upscale, great food. Lime Out, floating taco bar is a must. Also, we discovered Hansen Bay Beach, which is on the East End, definitely a hidden gem!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Island Dreams. The bedrooms located downstairs worked well for our 2 couples as there is a staircase on either side of the house to allow each couple to access their bedroom without walking in front of the other couple's room. We all prefer not to use the ac and leave the curtains open to enjoy the sunrise so wanted the privacy that the two staircases provided. The outdoor furniture is comfortable but the wind was very strong the week we were there and prevented us from enjoying the front deck as much as we would have liked. The wind was so strong that even the elastic bands to hold the cushions onto the furniture were not sufficient to prevent them from blowing off. On the plus side the breeze made it easy to do without ac and kept the mosquitos away. The location made it a quick drive to pick up food from nearby restaurants to eat at the house and the drive up to the house was one of the easiest we've had. We love the Coral Bay end of the island as it is closer to all the hikes and beaches that we enjoy. Our one complaint is that the only table for eating or playing cards was in the pergola which due to electrical issues did not have sufficient lighting to see the cards. We would have enjoyed having a table positioned to enjoy the view over Coral Bay but in our case the wind would have prevented us from using it for card playing which we tend to do each night. Tim was very responsive when I texted with questions.

This vacation on St John for my husband and me as we celebrated 20 years married was made perfect by the beauty and comfort of this exquisite home. Overlooking Coral Bay, with a simple elegance, all the amenities of a fine home, and the unbeatable gorgeous views, we were so happy. Owners and management were wonderful to work with. One caveat is that the property lists a hot tub which is not there. However the beautiful cold dip pool was a joy! Close to beaches and other activities we were completely in bliss.

From Island Dreams, the views of Coral Bay and surrounding mountains are simply jaw dropping. But not just from the outside balcony -- from every room. The villa uniquely orients all its main rooms to the Coral Bay views, including the bedrooms, which are reached by an exterior stair. It's clean, comfortable and well-appointed with everything you need. Sure, this is mountainous St. John and the drive up to the villa has a couple of harrowing portions, but I admit I’m a Midwest driver who rarely even drives on hilly roads. But by the end of my first week, I was driving our 4 x 4 Jeep, windows down, with calm confidence, happily greeting the wild goats and donkeys who stand alongside, and sometimes square on, the narrow roads. The location of Coral Bay puts you in proximity to many gorgeous beaches and destinations, like Salt Pond Bay and the Ram’s Head hike, the secluded Little Lameshur Beach for superb snorkeling, and Miss Lucy’s for a delightful lunch right on the water. Rhumb Lines, only a 5-minute drive, was a delicious and lovely destination for dinner. At Island Dreams, wake up just before sunrise to experience the life-altering moment of the sun entering Coral Bay while the roosters crow in the distance. Thank you for making my vacation dreams come true!

Island Dreams was even better in person than it looks online. The house is spacious, charming, and well kept up, and the views are absolutely spectacular. The property managers were very responsive to our questions throughout the week and the house was stocked with all we needed to relax, cook and go to the beach. Highly, highly recommend!

The property was better than the pics and the kitchen was one of the best stocked we’ve ever encountered. Furthermore, the access to the house was great. A lot of the roads in coral bay are pretty rough, but getting to and from this house was a breeze. I would stay in this home again should we find ourselves on St. John.

The property was all it appeared to be - beautiful and all amenities provided above and beyond my expectations. Beautifully decorated. Our first visit to St. John so roads were a bit scary to navigate. Parking right outside the villa was not easy to navigate when departing the property. Views were spectacular. While in the villa, no complaints at all - very comfortable.

Absolutely gorgeous view! We enjoyed the pool! Good location, close to the couple restaurants and grocery stores in Coral Bay. Well equipped kitchen, we cooked and ate in most of the time. We really enjoyed our stay at Island Dreams!

Have you dreamed about a gorgeous view in a beautiful house on a hill? Well, your dream just came true. This property is beautiful. The decor and amenities are exactly what you see in the pictures. What you don’t see are all the little extras. The kitchen has everything you need to cook everything from a quick breakfast to a full dinner. The bbq works perfectly, gas tanks full. Don’t worry about bringing any games in case of a rainy day. This house has more than mine. If you forget something, it’s probably there. Tip: bring some ziplocks for any leftovers you have from a restaurant or to make sandwiches for the beach. There’s a big cooler to pack all you need. Load up the car with the provided beach gear( for 4). You will think you’ll never find the house, but someone will meet you to take the first time. It’s easier every time you come home. The hosts are amazing for communicating if you have any questions. There are some”friends on property(goats and a rather large Iguana). At the bottom of the hill turn right to some a great restaurants and a well supplied grocery store. They even have vegan and gluten free options. Johnny Lime has an great chef and some really good BBQ! Turn left to drop off your trash daily when you go adventure. Coral Bay is magnificent and easy. Cruz bay(where the ferry docks) has a bit more action if that’s what you’re looking for. If you’re looking to just relax, sleep in a luxurious bed, shower while looking at the sea, look no more.Stay here!

I would like to say first the home is decorated very nicely & the owner responded quickly to our concerns! He made every effort for us to feel comfortable! Unfortunately, we had a few hiccups that made the first two evenings stressful. Upon arriving we realized both bedrooms were downstairs with exterior access only. I take responsibility for not catching that prior to renting. When seeing that the master bedroom had no interior lock we chose to stay in the other downstairs bedroom to feel more secure. We were not comfortable staying in a room that could not lock from the inside while sleeping. Upon expressing our concerns, the owner did have an interior lock installed the next day. Also at check-in there were two other doors that were initially hard to lock. On day two, we came in after a great hike and beach day to find the air conditioner not working in the downstairs bedroom we were staying in. Thankfully, we were informed that an interior lock had been installed in the master bedroom. We moved all our things to the master bedroom after someone inspected the air conditioner to determine it was broken. Unfortunately, it made for a long stressful evening.

Our stay at Island Dreams Villa was nothing short of exceptional. Communication with the hosts and the on-island managers was seamless and the property was just as beautiful, if not more so, as it was in the pictures. The villa's cleaning was pristine, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the living spaces were tastefully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. There were several outdoor seating areas, some covered, some uncovered, some sheltered from the winds, and some that were exposed to the sea breeze. I really appreciated the thought put into designing the outdoor space at Island Dreams. The pool (and its beautiful view), as well as the powerful a/c throughout rounded out the villa. The location was great. For those that are familiar with the area, it is about a 5 minute drive from the pink corner. The vantage point high up on the hill made for some truly stunning views. Waking up each morning to the sight of Coral Bay was an experience in itself. In summary, Island Dreams Villa was a paradise on earth. From its location, comfort, A/C, pool, and beautiful outdoor areas, it ticked every box for a perfect St J vacation. I can't recommend this property enough and I hope we get the chance to visit again soon!"

Love this house, the porch, the tradewinds feel great. I most enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning and at night, views are gorgeous across the bay, kitchen had everything we needed, the 2 ensuite bedrooms are perfect. Rob and David were great host, quick to check on us. Everything was great! Coral bay is quite and peaceful, something I appreciate.

Island Dreams is a stunning property that we enjoyed this past week. It is nestled into the mountainside allowing shading to some parts of the outside sitting areas during the day and sun/pool time whenever we got ready. The VIEW is stellar. The location to everything in Coral Bay was perfect. So much thought was put into every detail of this beautiful home for travelers to feel welcomed and relaxed. The guest book had many experiences of other travelers and all felt as we did, that they were home. Thank you for opening it up to be enjoyed by so many year after year.

Mt. Olympus views even the gods would have envied. Serene, peaceful. Gorgeous, bright, inviting home inside and out (and clean!). We had everythign we needed for the beach, we had everything we needed in the house. I cooked twice, and I swore I wouldn't cook on vacation! The house is fully stocked and incredibly clean and comfortable. The outside areas (plural, as there are so many distinct sitting areas) are in themselves another outside home, complete with a plunge pool that was so welcoming after a hot day at the beach. While it was necessary to go outdoors and down to the lower level to go to and from the living area on the upper level, we found it preferable and very private. And there's another level of outdoor seating on the lower balcony. The coffee was great. We enjoyed Scrabble. I loved the decor. The sunshine streams in from everywhere. It is a happy, gorgeous place. I can't say enough good things about this house. You almost missed it when you left to go to your outings each day, though it's hard to compete with the beaches of St. John! I was always glad I was going back to your home - our home, for a brief space of time in our lives. I will remember it. Thank you.

If your looking for a relaxing spot in Coral Bay, Island Dreams should definitely be on your list! The views from either deck are absolutely stunning, and you’ll immediately feel at home in this comfy stay. All of the items that we could have needed were available at the house, and most of the Coral Bay shops and restaurants were just a short drive away. We are already “island dreaming” about returning to this amazing home.

This property was perfect for my friend and I! I am directionally impaired so it was a big help to meet the property manager in Coral Bay so they could escort us to the property. The setup was perfect for us… we each had our own King bedroom with en suite bathroom and we could go upstairs to make a quick breakfast or enjoy sunrise looking out onto Coral Bay. There were several comfy places to sit and talk and the views were just STUNNING. The decor was lovely… it felt like we were using a friend’s place. I am thrilled Island Dreams was available for our trip and I plan to return For another (longer) stay!

Loved, loved this house in Coral Bay. The house was perfect! The overall style/decor, amazing views of the ocean, and the most lovely pool and grounds. Perfect for our relaxing retreat. we really enjoy cooking and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Better than the pictures! This was our first visit to St. John and the location was perfect for us. You enter the property into the courtyard area with beautiful gardens. The kitchen is the central location of the home and it was stocked with everything we needed plus an amazing view! The inside and outside seating areas are perfect for time together as a group and many comfortable spaces to spread out for alone time. We found everything in the home to be very nice quality and the mattresses were comfortable. The property was quiet and felt private. The pool was chilly for us but it is a nice touch and adds to the ambience. We enjoyed having a grill and using the dining area outside. This was a Vrbo we all would love to repeat!!

Absolutely beautiful, well-appointed house on top of a mountain side. We were given pictures & coordinates to find our way and Google has us driving down treacherous driveways... so getting there was hairy, but once we knew the easier way to get in/out.. it was much better. Kitchen was big, clean and had a great selection of seasonings. Perfect to cook in & then have a meal outside. The 2 bedrooms are down an outside set of stairs, but they each have good locks & comfy beds & nice bathrooms with fluffy towels (no toiletries - but a basket of leftover stuff we were able to find shampoo in) We were awakened by a screaming goat at 2am our 1st night & thought it was someone in pain out in the dark woods (hence why we know about the locks) but once we knew it was a goat we were ok. We fell in love with St. John and this beautiful house and setting was a big part of it ♥ Thank you .. PS...the new beach chairs are amazing :)

Incredible home away from home. Everything was so thoughtfully appointed, from the chefs kitchen, to the beach equipment. We had everything we needed and more. Sunrise on the deck every morning with coffee was by far our favorite daily ritual, and then of course a glass of wine by the pool in the afternoon was equally lovely. Entries in the guest book by previous travelers noted their return to Island Dreams year over year, as many as 10years in a row and it's easy to see why. We'll look forward to our own return in years to come. Its a magical property, the gardens, soaker pool, and the views. Its a special that defies words. We had a wonderful stay at Island Dreams. The view was incredible! The house was great. It was a good layout and size for us (2 couples). We really enjoyed having the pool. The area was perfect for us… calm and quiet except for the occasional rooster and goats. But we enjoyed those sounds. They never disturbed our sleep. Yes, the driveway is steep. But St John itself is very “hilly”. The roads are steep and definitely twisty-turvy all over the island. We loved Coral Bay. It’s a small town, but it has several restaurants and a nice grocery store nearby. The house managers were very responsive. Even the house owners reached out while we were there. We had so much fun exploring St John. Island Dreams was the perfect home base. Be sure to go to The Lime Out while you are there. It was so much fun! Wish we had gone more than once. Yummy tacos and drinks. It was especially fun the day we went. It was Halloween and the staff was dressed in costume. So take the plunge, book the trip and house. You won’t regret it!!

The property is a private, comfortable, beautifully landscaped retreat. Phenomenal views of Coral Bay. If you do not know St John’s-the drive up to the house is challenging. You need 4 wheel drive and don’t want to arrive at night. We thought we were renting a 2BR. Only needed one but were here for a wedding and thought we would have the extra room for friends if needed. We were told not to use owners bedroom so specify if you need both. Like some other island homes-the access to the bedrooms is from the back deck-not within the house. Loved waking to roosters and goats nearby. Felt safe. Not much to do at night nearby (off season) but 30 minutes from Cruz Bay where there are more restaurants and bars.

Location is difficult to get to, the road leading to the property has a steep incline which makes the walk to Coral Bay difficult and would take 30-45 minutes. The side road leading to the house turns into a partially washed out dirt road. That being said there really is not much to do in Coral Bay compared to the other parts of the island, making the building location not great if you plan to do anything besides stay at the house. So if you plan to just stay at the house this may not be an issue as the balcony views are great and the small private pool is attached to the house. The kitchen is newly updated and stocked with kitchen ware for cooking meals at home. If you do plan on traveling around, a Jeep rental is required. When we arrived to the property two of the main sliding doors on the upper level did not lock properly and the one on lower level main bedroom did not lock at all, requiring you to use broom handles to ensure no one can just walk into the rooms for a sense of security. Screen doors have holes on them letting bugs in if you want to use them at night. Two of the three provided beach chairs were broken and not usable. The building next door is under unfinished construction that results in a barbed wire fence running along the patio garden area. Gate entrance to the neighborhood seems to not be operational as it is strapped open the entire stay. Coffee maker was dirty and had bugs in the back area where you put water. Ultimately the pictures and description of the property are somewhat misleading. The cost of the stay per night is equivalent to nicer resorts on the island with “Island Dreams” having less amenities and not as well taken care of. Currently not worth the cost.

Check in was easy - essentially the owner left it unlocked, sent me the address, and I just just texted him to let him know we got in fine. Property is exactly as it is listed and the views are even better! Very private deck/patio area which was great for us. Loved using the pool in the afternoons after hitting the beach in the mornings. Only thing I could knock it for was that the second bedroom was a little dirty - but it was okay because we just used the other room.
