The cottage was the perfect place for me and a couple of my friends to stay for a short trip to wine country. It was homey and very comfortable to relax in after a day of wine tasting. The communication from the property management team was phenomenal and hope to stay at this property again!

We enjoyed our stay and the large property for our dogs to play after some adult time wine tasting. Property management was very responsive as well.

The cottage was perfect for our short girls getaway to the Wine country. The cottage was extremely clean very well equipped. I felt very homey and comfortable. Hosting fee was a bit steep but other than that it was a great place.

Cottage was very clean and convenient. Fenced in yard was great for our dog. Dog bowls, biscuit and bags were appreciated. We would stay again!

The booking process was confusing from the double process between Vrbo and the lifestyle properties place that manages the home. There were several discrepancies of the pet policy between both entities making it very confusing as to what pets were allowed or not per the rental booking. Multiple unannounced visits from landscapers to trash folks (which is very disrespectful to the privacy of the guests, not to mention the issue with potential Covid risks); I was notified one time via phone that a gardener would be stopping by one afternoon and yet they did not show up. There was miscommunication and lack of clear rules regarding pets. I was evicted early due to a cat being with our family during our stay; they stated they needed to fumigate and remove every item in the home therefore we were expected to leave early in order for them to do so. No mention of a refund or any offer to reconcile the money for a shortened stay on their behalf - which we obliged with respectfully. The “required” mid stay clean is a very odd thing in itself with a washer and dryer and cleaning supplies available within the home. The over reaction to exaggerate to a fumigation over an animal even though their policy offered a special doggie pack for dogs when they stay. Unclear standards and miscommunication again and again throughout our entire stay. This was the most over priced and most disappointing stay we have ever had the displeasure of encountering.

Our 2-night stay at The Roost was great. We especially enjoyed the lovely back yard and garden, fireplace, and the well-appointed kitchen. The location was convenient to our wine country explorations and we would definitely stay again.

Well appointed cottage (family home) in the center of Dundee on a quiet street. Ideal for two couples, the property management team seems to have thought of everything to make your wine trip a success. (Including the Tide Pen for wine stains.) Though this house only has one large modern bathroom, it is cozy and practical. My only frustration with this listing (Vrbo) is that while doing research for the trip, the per night price increased three times over 24 hours. Apparently the cookies allows the lessor to raise the rate every time you check back. It went up $25 each time. That is really a bummer and seems manipulative. Though no fault of the listing agent, next time I'll book directly and save.

Great location. Very clean. Very charming. The only negative is the furniture- the couch and the 2 cow patterned chairs in the living room seating area are very uncomfortable. Wish the living room area seating was more cozy and comfortable to sit and drink wine and chat. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Great location and property. The property sites close to a storage unit and a large open garage. It is in an area that has plenty of housing around, just something that we found odd. Amenities were clean and had no issues with the property. Great stay for our Oregon visit. Walking distance to restaurants, wineries and a brewery.

We absolutely loved this place. It was conveniently located, had everything we needed and the owners were incredibly attentive and helpful. We definitely hope to be back.

We really enjoyed being so close to some of the best wineries in Oregon. Penner-Ash, Duck Pond and Ponzi just name a few. Many good tasting rooms close by too! Our stay was very comfortable and the Lifestyle staff was always there for any questions or to make recommendations. Would definitely look to stay here again!

My friend had business in Portland so we used it as an excuse to visit Oregon together. Don't recommend November since the weather isn't ideal and the vineyards are not at their most spectacular, but the cottage was a wonderful place to come back to. I can imagine using the bikes to ride through the neighboring vineyards could be great fun. Dundee doesn't have much of a downtown area but it was not too far from the Portland airport and well located for adventures along the Columbia River, Mt Hood and the Oregon coast. The cottage itself is very comfortable and just the right size for the two of us. My make up artist friend loved the vanity in the bathroom! My only complaint is with the lamps in the second bedroom (overlooking the backyard.) They are swing lamps attached to the wall and provide insufficient lighting to read in bed. Given it was gray and rainy for the duration of our trip, lights were definitely necessary! Not sure we will ever make a return trip to the Willamette Valley but would love to have a cottage like this to stay in other places.

This place was way better than the description and photos! Walkable to wineries on 99 and short drive to other amazing spots. The home is so cozy, well decorated, and the kitchen is great for a smaller space. The beds were so comfy and the property company was incredible to work with! They left cheese and cream for coffee in the fridge...along with crackers! Such a sweet little surprise! We will be renting this spot again! YAY!

Great stay - central to wineries and good places to eat. The house itself is very well maintained and cozy. We could walk to breakfast and dinner. This neighborhood is not super charming, but the cottage is and I feel the area is up and coming! Totally worth it!

Dundee itself isn't much but it is centrally located in the Willamette valley. The staff was fabulous and the accommodations themselves beatiful. Really look like it had been done by a decorator. We were left a bottle of rose and fresh cream both from merchants nearby. Thanks for a great stay.

Sweet little place with charm! It was very clean and contained everything needed. It even had two bikes available for use. I loved the vanity in the bathroom. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was that there was no cable/local channels for the tv, only could access movies.

Megan and Heather were great! They took time to recommend restaurants and activities for us prior to arrival. The house was clean and comfortable and perfect for our little family. The pictures don't really do it justice. The garden was beautiful! This cottage is the perfect location for wine country and site seeing. We will definitely return!

I stayed two nights at the cottage with my family. We loved the comfort and cleanliness of the home. So many little touches here and there. When we arrived, the air conditioner had been turned on, soft music was playing and we had a nice little gift of cheese, crackers and fresh cream for our morning coffee! The backyard is absolutely beautiful! We had breakfast outside every morning even though the weather was horrible that weekend (really hot!). The cottage comes with two bikes you can take out too. The main road is really busy but we found a great little ride. More on that below. Dundee is a great location for wine tasting. There are several wineries nearby and many you can walk to. Our favorite though was a trip out to the new Ponzi Winery. The drive is about 11 miles each way but it's worth it. Ponzi wines are really good and the winery has great views. Sit outside on their terrace and enjoy a bottle. Restaurants - one of the great things about this cottage is that you can walk to several great restaurants! Two of our favorites are the Dundee Bistro and Babica Hen. Make a reservation for dinner at Dundee Bistro. They are also open for lunch. Please do yourself a favor and try Babica Hen Cafe for breakfast. OMG! Best breakfast of my life! (honestly). And get the waffles. They have several selections and one where you can get a half of two different ones. We drove through Newburg on our way out and that looks like a cute little town to explore. We just didn't have enough time...next visit. Only 2 miles from the cottage. Also McMinnville had a lot to offer, about 12 miles from the cottage. Bike ride: Head out to the main street and turn left. You'll need to cross the street so be careful, it's very busy! At the first street, 10th St., turn right. You'll now be in residential so you can relax and enjoy the ride. At Locust, turn left then turn right on 8th St. Follow 8th St. all the way down to the Chehalem Paddle Launch on the Willamette River. You'll cross over a bridge and go through some nice countryside. There are horses along the way too. It's about a 2 mile ride each way. It's fairly flat except in a few areas which we just walked our bikes. You can rent kayaks at the river so make sure you bring your bike locks if that's of interest to you. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this cottage without hesitation. I also have to give props to Megan and Heather the property managers. Very helpful and they made everything easy!

They made it very homey and cozy for us when we arrived. The banana bread was such a sweet touch. I highly recommend this cottage if you are staying in the area.
