Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was perfect for a three-generation family gathering. We had room to spread out and loved the well-equipped kitchen and eating spaces. The pool was perfect for the kids and they enjoyed feeding the goats and checking for eggs.
The view from the back porch was magnificent. The adults loved sitting on the porch with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening.
The hosts couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. They responded immediately with every question we had before and during our stay. Would highly recommend this home.

We absolutely loved our stay at Melinda’s property. It’s more stunning in person. The house is spacious and for our group of 12 comfortably. The pool and outdoor area are lovely and provide a breathtaking view of the sunset. I could not recommend this place enough!

One of our best vacations ever. The house, the view and location were perfect for our three generation family of 11 (6 adults and 5 teens). We found it to be immaculately cleaned and was fully equipped throughout the house especially in the kitchen and with plenty of pool toys. The pool, cabana, hot tub and fire pit got plenty of use! The hosts (Melinda and John) were very responsive to any of our questions or requests with great communication both before and during our visit.

The property was perfect for us and nicer than advertised. I don’t know who enjoyed the goats and chickens more the adults or my grandchildren. We took full advantage of everything the property had to offer. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular and the hosts, Melinda and John were very attentive. We stayed at Seven Palms for 6 nights for a special family gathering and had a wonderful experience. Melinda and John's communications with us and their attention to anything we needed were perfect. Their home was very welcoming and exceptional and kept our 5 grandkids very busy and entertained. The pool, the animals, the vegetable garden, the wonderful music room and fuze ball really made a big difference. We spent a lot of time at the home, but driving into San Diego for a day and also to Legoland was very easy. We ended most days sitting around the fire pit roasting smores. We also hired a local photographer (Chasing Light Photography) to come take pictures, which worked out great. I would not hesitate to recommend this home and give it 5 stars!

The property has one of the most beautiful views you can ask for. The outdoor spaces including the courtyard, fire pits, pool/hot tub give off a serene feeling. The private driveway transports you to what feels like a secluded getaway. The house is amazing, very big and spacious, plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone. The stories told throughout the house give you a sense of how special this place it. Big bonus for my group was the basketball hoop in the driveway. I would definitely book again.

We all loved this beautiful home and want to come again next year! The house is large, updated and very clean! The kids enjoyed seeing the goats and chickens and especially had fun in the lovely pool! The owner was there when we arrived and was super kind to the kids and showed them around, showed them the pool toyed, etc. My family and I highly recommend this VRBO.

Seven Palms was the most beautiful VRBO we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Melinda and John, the hosts, were absolutely wonderful and accommodating. We had an early 70th bday gathering of grandparents, children and grandchildren. EVERYONE loved the property. From the goats and chickens and collecting fresh eggs, the garden and orchard full of produce, the fire pit where we made s’mores, the pool that no one wanted to get out of, and the most fabulous view we took advantage of every morning on the patio with coffee and every evening with wine. Huge kitchen, dining inside and out, and all the amenities we could have asked for. Highly recommend. We will be back!

The property looked even better than the pictures on VRBO. The layout of the house was perfect for 6 adults and 3 children under 6. The house had all the amenities needed for our stay. The view was excellent with beautiful sunsets every night. We all enjoyed the pool and had fun feeding the goats. The location was convenient for going to the zoo and Coronado Beach. Also, enjoyed going up to Mt Helix. Steve and Melinda were excellent hosts. Definitely a great house for a family getaway!

We (4 adults, 4 teenagers) truly enjoyed Seven Palms. The house and pool are perfect, the view and sunsets spectacular and San Diego sights, beaches etc are in easy reach from La Mesa. Melinda and John have been wonderful hosts, we enjoyed their openness and generosity as they allowed us to collect eggs from their chickens, vegetables from their garden etc. Our teens loved the soccer- table, playing basketball and taking the goats for a walk ;-). This property is exactly as described. Melinda and John are great hosts. This is a wonderful place to feel happy and spend precious days with family. Our grandchildren ran out each morning to greet the chickens, gather eggs and play with the goats. The adults found many areas to relax and enjoy each other. The night time views are beautiful and many nights we were treated to fire works.
This is a place we would definitely return to, I made that promise to our grandchildren who miss being there.

Melinda and John are fabulous hosts who go well beyond the norm to ensure your experience is wonderful. The house is as advertised with everything you need to have a fun filled stay. The view is stunning . The property has so many wonderful spaces to spread out or be together. The pool is lovely and the area even has a small fridge. There is shade too. The bedrooms and baths are great and each has privacy. We all commented how quiet it was. We didn't hear each. Don't hesitate to book this very special house with very special hosts

Above and beyond!
My friends and I had the most amazing stay here. The house provided ample spaces to hang out in groups or to retreat to separate spaces. The pool is AMAZING, and don't overlook the hot tub and fire pit! The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were comfy, and the showers had the perfect pressure. Lovely, Spacious, and Cozy
We loved the home, it was perfect for our family. We could all be together and not feel cramped. There was also plenty of room to be able to have quite time alone. The pool was perfect, the shallow area was great for the kids, they could sit and splash. The adults could enjoy the deeper part of the pool. We also loved the goats and chickens, it was a great experience for our grandchildren. Perfect home for a family to stay.

Had an absolutely wonderful time! Property is outstanding - loved the goats & chickens and the pool is off the charts beautiful. Perfect getaway for family gathering
This was one of the best properties I have ever rented. With so many amenities for all ages ( 1 year old to 71 in our group), there was something for everyone. Pool, hot tub, courtyard lawn, work out equipment, play ground, kids play house, gardens, goats/chickens, sonos sound, spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas. We loved it!

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful week at Seven Palms! House had everything we could want, and everyone from grandparents to kids loved their time there. Very helpful and responsive hosts, great view and a perfect setting for evening campfires in January, at least once we managed to drag the kids out of the pool. We’ve also decided that if we ever move, we’re building a house with a secret room.
Overall, Seven Palms ranks among the very best of the many wonderful VRBO homes we’ve stayed at over the years.

This is a truly unique property. Great views, nice pool area, and things you don’t usually experience (like Pygmy goats and chickens and a huge vegetable garden). Very well-stocked kitchen. Owner was super responsive.
