Check-in was not as described- it took quite some time to figure out how to enter the premises, not as per host instructions. Host was unavailable during our many attempts to contact her to resolve this. Even worse, host forced us to change units in the middle of our stay. This was done without prior discussion or our agreement. We had specifically booked a first floor unit and were forced into dealing with stairs against our wishes. Host never apologized nor expressed any interest in our satisfaction. Overall, not a great VRBO listing.

We rented 2 of the apartments for a family vacation. Beth is very lovely, the apartments were great. We did a lot of cooking (nice kitchen), sat outside for the views at sunset.
We hope to return next summer.

The owner was awesome. I felt like I was staying at a family member's home. The apartment was clean and tastefully decorated. The grounds were impeccably maintained. I was thankful for such a lovely place to stay after day long trainings at the North Branch Nature Center.

The rooms are very nice. Everything is kept very tidy. It's an older building and it gets chilly at night in April, so you may need to turn the heat up a bit, but the blankets are warm, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is functional. The place is only a short walk to city center, and Beth is absolutely lovely. Would stay again for sure.

Nostalgia at its best!
We loved coming home for the Norwich Bicentennial Reunion. Beth was friendly and made sure our needs were met. The beds were comfortable and the quietness of the neighborhood appreciated. The beauty and decor make this house truly lovely. Close to downtown Montpelier, Northfield and Burlington. We were able to make all alumni activities. Thank you Beth .... this was an amazing Welcome Home for us. Married across the quad 31 years ago...good to come home! Thank you!

There arent many places to rent in Montpelier proper (which is a great town to stay in to see VT in general), and this is a real gem. Me, my husband, and my two kids (ages 4 and 7) rented the bottom floor of the house (the upper floor is also available for rent). Its cozy (the living room is also the bedroom), but it didnt feel cramped and seemed like just the right size for us. The accommodations are comfortable. Beth the owner is a wonderful hostess who put a lot of childrens toys and books in the apartment which our kids really appreciated. Our friends rented the upper floor, and they brought a baby with them, and she had all kinds of baby things for them, like a pack n play and high chair. The house is in a nice neighborhood, close to a college (I recommend having dinner at their cafeteria; its made by the culinary students there). Its easy to walk downtown. The only possible drawbacks for some people is that there isnt a tv (we didnt mind), and the owners live in the house thats connected (we rarely saw them -- only outside -- and never heard them), and you might have strangers living above you (you can hear some creaking above, and some muffled conversation if its loud) and youll share an entrance/exit with them. But these are pretty minor things; overall, this is a great pick for your Vermont stay!

Clean and Comfortable!
We stayed in the downstairs apartment which was very well equipped, and the beds were unusually comfortable for a vacation rental. Beth is very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again for sure!

Lovely weekend stay in Montpelier
We had a wonderful stay at Beth and Bob's place in Montpelier! The home was easy to find, and was clean, cozy, and had absolutely everything we needed. It's located on a lovely, quiet street, and just a nice walk away from the downtown area.
Beth and Bob were extremely gracious and communicative hosts. Despite living only an hour away, I wasn't too familiar with downtown Montpelier, and Beth was so helpful in providing suggestions for places to visit, eat, and grab a drink. We had a great dinner at Three Penny Taproom and delicious gelato at Chill. Beth had so many wonderful suggestions that I think we'll need to make another trip back soon! :)

Homely
We stayed only for two nights but we enjoyed every minute. Close enough to walk to downtown to restaurants and shops. Had everything you needed if you wanted to cook and very clean felt at home. She also left us some homemade cookies and a bottle of wine to enjoy you cannot ask for more.

I've stayed with Beth twice before, and will do so several times again in the future! It's the perfect place from which to see Vermont.

Absolutely beautiful apartment, gorgeous garden and thoughtful host
I stayed in the downstairs apartment at 80 College for 10 days during my final residency at Vermont College of Fine Arts. It's a very short walk to the college, but also into town - it couldn't have been more convenient. The apartment was beautiful and very cosy, and Beth was incredibly welcoming, thoughtful and kind, asking us if there was anything we needed, and even offering to change our sheets for us if we needed. It's a shoes off rule inside the house which helps to keep everything clean, which is great. The garden is absolutely gorgeous - there were peonies in bloom when we were there and we were able to sit outside and enjoy a view over Montpelier and the mountains at sunset with a drink, surrounded by nature. I could not think of a better place to stay in Montpelier and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Wonderful Stay!
I stayed at 80 College for 12 days during my residency at VCFA. beth was wonderfully accommodating, taking me along with her to the grocery store once, lending a slow cooker and a yoga mat. I recommend this property wholeheartedly.

Cozy Nest, Close to VCFA Campus
I stayed in the first-floor apartment with another student for a 10-day residency at VCFA. My room was very comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked, and Beth went out of her way to make sure all were comfortable, even leaving little candies by the entry door every day and offering to do laundry. It's a very short walk to campus. One bedroom is right off the kitchen. The other bedroom/living room (where I stayed) is larger with a private entrance, which makes it nice if sharing the apartment. Thanks Beth for being such a great hostess.

Wonderful Stay
Beth and Bob really went out of their way to make my family comfortable and feel like home. House is beautiful, beds are comfy, and in a great location. Definitely will stay here again on our next trip to Montpelier.

Lovely little apartment in one of the nicest parts of Montpelier
My wife and I spent five days here with our 18-month old son, and we were very pleased with the property and with its owner. The apartment is essentially three rooms (not counting the full bathroom): a bedroom, a kitchen/dining area and a sitting room/second bedroom. You can enter via the kitchen or the sitting room, which made it perfect for our situation and allowed us to come and go without disturbing the little guy if he was sleeping.
The kitchen is well appointed, featuring all of the cookware and servingware needed for a small meal. It's a cozy space, so you wouldn't want to have more than 4-5 diners at a time, but it's great for small gatherings. The apartment as a whole is on the small side, and it's a little creaky due to its age, but it's a very comfortable space and a very authentic Vermont residence. We visited during foliage season, and it was the perfect complement to our experience.
Finally, the property owner could not have been more gracious or obliging. She went out of her way to make sure that our every need was seen to, and we consistently felt like we were a priority. She has a real knack for hospitality, and we're extremely grateful to her. We hope to stay there again soon!
