We could walk everywhere for downtown. Cute little house. Pretty decor. Pretty garden in the backyard. It would have helped to have directions on how to use the AC- but luckily, it wasn’t a hot weekend.

Enjoyed our stay. It was walkable to restaurants in johnson city. Close to pedernales falls state park and about 30 min to fredericksburg. Loved the kitchen stove.

Had a great time. The door was a little tricky. You might want to give door directions in a message before the people arrive. I was so excited you had my favorite coffee stocked.

Everything about this cottage was adorable, comfortable, and perfect for a mother/daughter weekend to attend a women’s retreat and tour wineries. We will definitely be back next year. ♥️🏡

The house/cottage was exceptionally clean! The decor was perfect! So tasteful and just the right touches to make our stay beyond enjoyable! The location couldn’t be better for walking around downtown. I very rarely give 5 stars. And I mean rarely. I plan on returning. Definitely! Melicia is a very engaged owner which is a must for me.

Nice and cozy!
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. We walked all over Johnson City and saw the beautiful Christmas lights and enjoyed the hospitality of the townspeople. We were also able to enjoy the area going to Fredericksburg was an easy drive. The only downside was no wifi, but it is not a huge big deal to us.
Thank you for a lovely stay!

Excellent getaway
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Our reservation was after the "Blizzard of '21" and the property manager did a FANTASTIC job of communicating with us and setting us at ease about our stay. The property is close enough to attractions, wineries, cider house, and food that we never felt rushed in our moving around. We found the house to be well stocked and met all of our needs for a relaxing anniversary weekend away. Would both highly recommend and love to stay here again in the future!

Just what we needed
What we wanted was a place off beaten path but close enough to the local sites that we planned to visit. Something charming, comfortable and most of all, cozy. We were coming off the 2021 Ice Storm so we didn't know if the property would be ready, but owner kept us totally informed at every turn. We encountered a small mechanical issue but arrived at a resolution with good communication. I cant wait to schedule a longer stay in the near future and strongly recommend for a couple looking to get away from the fast pace of the city.

Writing Retreat in the Hill Country
Perfect spot for peaceful writing inside the cozy cottage and outside in the yard with the birds! Enjoyed the LBJ parks nearby. Don't skip the Settlement Trail (within walking distance of Pickett House!)...it's well worth it! Views of the sunrise and sunset on the property...a little slice of heaven.

Johnson City, TX Cottage
This is an ideal spot for anyone wanting to explore the Texas Hill Country west of Austin. Fredericksburg with Enchanted Rock State park is to the west and Pedernales Falls State Park is to the east. Other parks and attractions are easy drives away. Not to mention all the wineries along RT 290. The cottage is charming, comfortable, very clean, well appointed, and stocked with all the essentials. This proved to be an ideal spot for our getaway. We look forward to returning later this year.

Stay 3 Days in October
Lovely little cottage, the only problem we found was most of the shops were closed Mon/Tues/Wed and food venues challenging.
Only stayed two days out of 3 as wanted to get closer to Austin on the last night.

Perfect in every way!
The cottage was beautifully furnished and decorated. For folks our age, it was a step back in time (but with all the conveniences of today). We felt sorry for our fellow wedding guests who stayed in hotels.

Cute, quaint cottage
This house was the perfect place for my husband and I to spend a few days away together! Vintage features were mixed with an updated feel! It was within walking distance of downtown museums, stores, and restaurants in Johnson City. It was also centrally located between Fredericksburg and Dripping Springs. The cottage was very clean and smelled good, which is a must for me. The owner, Melicia, was most helpful while we were there! I highly recommend this property and would stay again if I were in the area.

Wonderful!!
We were in town for a wedding and the location was perfect for the venue and the extended week-end we planned for the area. Absolutely love the layout and attention to detail throughout the home. If ever in the area again, I hope to stay there again. Thank you, thank you.

Terrific lodging, thoughtfully appointed and excellent location
This small home punches above its weight through the decorating and organizational skills of its owner; my wife and I had a wonderful stay there in June of 2019. It is clean, comfortable and well-located for an enjoyable time in and around Johnson City. Head off in one direction to find more wineries and tastings than you can prudently visit in one day. Go the other way to enjoy the beauty of Pedernales State Park and bring your mountain bike and have lunch at the river! Or take a little longer drive to Dripping Springs and enjoy one of the best coffee shops around, Mazama Coffee Co.
The host is generous in providing coffee, light snacks and other basics that other VRBO hosts don't bother with -- definitely appreciated. We'll visit again as soon as we can.
