We had a great couple days at Nate’s house. Saw whale spouts from the deck, had a fire our first night, walked the beach, walked to dinner at Pelican Brewing. Great location, communication easy and straight forward with Nate. Beds were comfortable, kids loved the pool table and Pac-Man game, kitchen was sufficient. Great stay, would rent again!

We had a great stay at this property. Being RIGHT on the beach and in a walkable neighborhood was so wonderful… and the house’s game room fun was perfect for us too. We enjoyed our stay very much !

Clean and well-maintained. Not too fancy for dogs. Downstairs heating system could stand improvement. Host was amazing to work with!

Hill getting to beach was steeper than expected but it was nice having a private beach section at the house. Well stocked kitchen compared to other rentals I've stayed at. Upstairs main TV has display issues and some outlets dont work but its a great house for spending time on the beach.

The place is exactly as advertised. It's not fancy, but that's what makes it comfortable. As close as as can be to cape Kiwanda with all the necessary items like a fire pit, beach chairs, and a grill. Steps to the restaurants and shops. We will be back during storm season and again next summer.Thank you Nathan for sharing that view with total strangers. Best on the coast.

This property was FANTASTIC. Right on the beach.. It was clean and easy to find. Like the owners says. It isn't fancy but ohhhhh so comfortable. It was like being at home. We had 10 people and we all slept comfortably. The kitchen was pretty well stock with items that we need to cook. If we have a reunion again I will stay here in a minute. Maybe owner has a 1 or 2 bedroom unit that we can use when just husband and I go. Thank you

First time using rental house for family vacation and was a great experience. Would vacation here again. Nathan was very responsive and a pleasure to work with.

The view is amazing. The fire pit was great!! The owner was very easy to get a hold of and very helpful. It should be noted when you go out the back door there is sand but to get to the beach you have to go up and down a large mound so not very easy for everyone to get back up! That seems to be a lot of Pacific City though. The kids loved all the games and pool table. The adults were too grossed out by the carpet to go downstairs and enjoy though. Bunk beds still wobble. My son slept on the couch and woke up with pieces of leather stuck to him. It really needs that deep cleaning all over the house still. Also just a note the house seems to carry the noise so it was hard to have some people want to go to bed and others watch tv in the upstairs living room, but we really enjoyed our stay all in all!

Our stay included my family of 5 (all 14 and up) + my friend and her family including three 3-yr-olds. It was cold and wet out, which we knew. It’s Easter weekend in Oregon. But, THE VIEW! Haystack Rock and the ocean were beautiful. The kitchen has a lot of pots, pans, and other cooking implements. We were able to easily make multiple meals. The kids loved the pool table, PacMan game, and other games. The 3-yr-olds loved the slide off the deck. The teens loved exploring the rocks just a short walk away. We visited town for a grocery run and on a walk to find chocolate. Found a thrift store, local grocery store, and a grocery store for the tourists.

The communication with the owner was very prompt and easy. Half of my family canceled along with a dog so actually it was bett that way due to the room set ups would of been cramped. The location was amazing with the view. The house had a leak in front of the sliding door. Since the weather was horrible there was staning water by the front door so every time we left our shoes and socks got wet. The top bunk beds were unstable so kids didnt sleep on them so kinda thankful some of the kids didnt come. The king and queen bedrooms were great. The fridge had a leak inside we didnt know about it so some of food got ruined. The furniture was little old with rips in it but it was comfy. The pool sticks only had one tip and only one arcade games worked. Overall we totally would stay again when it is remodeled.

Beautiful views and so nice to be able to access the beach so easily! House is really right on the beach! The house is a little dirty and could use a good scrub but I think that’s most beach houses! Lots of fun stuff and games to do and all the kids had fun.

My family and I had an awesome time at Nathan's place. Super easy check in, comfortable and clean. Views were amazing and close walking distance to shops/resturaunts. As a host, Nathan was great and went over and above to insure that we had a great experience. Great wifi so i could "work" remotely as well. Would absolutely go back.

The house is exactly what we were looking for! It is beachfront so we could watch the waves and storms from the warm house through the octagon windows that give you a panoramic view! Walking distance to Pelican Pub for a brew or hot cocoa. The downstairs has 2 bedrooms and a bath and too many games and entertainment options to list (ping pong, pool, golf game, chess, board games, puzzles, books, on and on). The house is clean and lovely but also very comfortable to have our 2 dogs with us. The kitchen has all you need for cooking, and there are plenty of dishes for our group. Nathan was very responsive and kind. We would love to go back! Kathy and family

Although the house, location, views, etc are wonderful, Nathan is the best property host I’ve ever dealt with!

Right on the beach with perfect views. So fun to watch the surfers and waves. Walking distance to food and shopping. Lots of beds for the whole family.

The view from the kitchen/living is awesome! There is nothing but sand between this house and the ocean. The house was clean and you can tell the owner is working to update the house. The kitchen and bathroom fixtures are new and the beds clean and comfortable, decor is tasteful. Loved playing pool, arcade games (pac man and galaga 💕!!) and cards at the poker table when we weren’t on the beach. It was really fun to have a fire in the backyard. Really short walk to the Pelican and Stimulus coffee. The kitchen and pantry are bare bones - perfect for comfort food style meals but might be frustrating if you’re a person who needs fresh ground coffee or stand mixer. Our group ranged from ages 20-60 and are in good health. Large people or people with health problems might find the small circular stairs troublesome though we found them fun. Coolers and large bags can be brought from the car to the deck door by outdoor stairs. WiFi was decent to listen to music while hanging out in the game room and watching movies together in the eve. Nathan was great getting back to us on a small question. We enjoyed our stay very much- thank you!

First off the pictures don’t do this place justice. The kitchen had enough for our party of 7 people. Being right on the beach was an awesome experience with the fam. Like all other reviews said close to everything and found some great places to eat out there. Pelican brewery and Oar house was a fam fav. Nathan is an excellent host and communication and stay was perfect. Hopefully we will be able to come back next year. We traveled w two dogs and fam of 7 and we had plenty of space inside the beach house. Thanks again Nathan. Mahalo

We had so much fun here! Being able to walk right out on to the beach, watching the sunsets and the dory boats launch in the morning - it was perfect. The host, Nathan, was so nice and easy to communicate with. I hope to make it back here sometime!

Have rented every summer for past ten years. Perfect location. Beautiful view. Roomy house. Responsive owner.

This place was perfect for our family. It has a spectacular, panoramic view and is one of the houses closest to the beach, Cape Kiwanda, and Pelican Pub. It had everything we needed. My children in their 20's loved all the games downstairs. Some of the highlights were enjoying the wrap-around windows and watching the sunsets, hiking the dune, having a beach fire, and enjoying family conversations in the open, roomy kitchen and living room. And it was a relief not to have to leave our pets at home, so they could have a lovely vacation, too. The owner was very friendly and flexible. Thank you!

Excellent. Great location right on the beach. Nathan is the best! Very responsive. Property is well stocked and always clean. Video games for the kids. Ping Pong and Pool for the adults.

Walking distance to the local spots or sorry drive to little market! View was amazing lots of bedding options to accommodate kids!

This was a great house with plenty of beds and right on the beach in front of haystack rock. Lots of games in the gameroom and a short walk to Pelican Brewery. Something for everyone.

The major problem was that there is no information on how to use the television. For those of us who have direct cable the complexity of the access system at the beach is a mystery and when there are no instructions it is a real pain

We really enjoyed staying at this property. You can't get much closer to the beach. The house was more spacious than I expected and all the kids had a great time.

Of all the houses within a short walk to the pelican brewing co. This house was the closest to the actual water. This allowed the round house to have the best view possible. You could truly see more than anyone else while having the beach literally at the steps of the house. The view of the cape and haystack rock were worth it all. Being able to have a fire on the beach steps from the house with my kids was a hassle free experience. Your on a small dune the blocks the view of any people walking past while not sacrificing yours. You feel secluded and to close to it all at the same time. The house is nicer than the pictures suggest. The upstairs is bright and welcoming. The king bed was crazy comfy even for a spring mattress. My kids were fully entertained on rainy days. Hikes up the cape we’re morning routine. I spent so little extra money during my stay because I never drove anywhere. Everything is a very short walk away. It was the perfect place for my family.

Easy checking in and out. Our group appreciated the location, views, and room to spread out. We were very comfortable sleeping on the high bed in the master bedroom. Only negatives were the upstairs shower didn’t get very hot and there weren’t very many garbage bags. But the kitchen didn’t leave us wanting for anything else. We didn’t use the fireplace, but it would be nice when it’s cold and rainy at the coast.
