Emplacement central, à cinq minutes de Ganges, mais situé en pleine campagne avec des sentiers forestiers et champ directement de la propriété.
Complètement autonome et privé, le chalet n'est pas négligé par aucune autre propriété. Tranquility Cottage peut accueillir de deux à quatre personnes: chambre avec lit queen-size et divan-lit dans le salon. Grande terrasse couverte avec jardin japonais et barbecue. Spa privé pour votre détente complète. Foyer extérieur (soumis aux restrictions de brûlage des îles pendant la saison sèche). DVD avec une sélection de films et un lecteur CD. Téléphone. The setting is tranquil, yes, but the sulphur in the water is so strong that not only is the water not drinkable, the whole house smells of rotten eggs every time a tap is turned on. Bring your own drinking water!! The house is dated, though clean, and the mattress is old and concave and quite uncomfortable. Grateful for the hot tub as it was really clean and hot (and didn’t stink!) though it sits under a tree that blocks the view of the stars and sends bugs and leaves falling into the tub while mice run up and down it’s branches overhead. It should also be mentioned that the house sits atop an extremely steep gravel hill so coming and going is not easy. My friend and I were thankful for a safe and quiet space, but we would not return :(

The deer are amazing around the property. Its a great place to re-charge. Indulge in a sound bath to make it the complete experience.

Nice private cottage in a great location.
Had all the amenities required and we loved the hot tub.
As mentioned before in some of other reviews it’s needs a deep clean, windows, curtains washed etc to make it shine.
Garden around house need to be tidied up and trimmed up a bit to make it feel more loved.

We had a lovely quick stay at this little cottage. Communication for booking was quick and easy. The place had everything we needed. The fridge was small but held everything we needed it to. The hot tub was nice. The surroundings were very peaceful and relaxing. It could have used a bit more of a freshening before our stay but it didn't impact our stay. Great area.

A nice size cabin. Cozy and very private. A covered deck and entrance. But the cabin had a slight mildew smell as soon as you walked in. Hot tub was preheated, but could have used a quick clean.
Bathroom could use some updates and a deeper clean, but the shower had good pressure and the toilet is newer and flushed well. Lots of towels for use.
Loved all of the nature on the property...bunnies, deer, woodpecker.
The dishwasher wasn't great at cleaning, but a quick clean with dishsoap after worked ok. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, etc...
Water tasted great for drinking.
TV had no channels, but they had a large DVD collection for viewing. Lots of games and puzzles.
All in all, it was a good place for a getaway, but needs a deeper clean, more regularly.

We had a marvoulous stay. It is so peaceful with all the ammenities thought of. A wonderful place to unwind after a day exploring the island. Take off your hiking boots, kick back and have a fire in the forrest, then a dip in the hottup surrounded by trees. Loved how private it was. Feels like camping but with luxery.
100 percent reccomend!

Kim and Philip’s cottage is such a quaint little cottage in the woods, just as described. Checkin was super easy and we felt well taken care of. Hot tub was clean and at the perfect temperature every night, and there was a great dvd, CD and games collection too! The holiday decorations were also a really nice touch. Thanks again! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a simple and peaceful getaway on Saltspring.

The cottage was unclean with mold by the tub, a full picture window in the tub, chips on floor from previous guest, numerous hand written notes of items not working, filthy hot tub, unable to communicate with owner due to their phone not working. Had to get in vehicle to drive down and see them. Decided not to stay there and left the same day we arrived. Pictures of the cottage certainly did not portray the real look of the place. Would not recommend.

Amazingly relaxing and tranquil and beautiful. We slept for almost 12 hours the first night! Loved the hot tub and everything about the cottage. Kim was very responsive and even mailed the small items we forgot (thanks again!)

A lovely cottage set in nature, very private and with all you need. There is wifi but no cable tv and that was actually really nice and quiet. Lots of reading! And very relaxing! Kitchen and bathroom had everything you need.

This was absolutely fabulous little cabin. Well equipped with everything you need for a stay on the island. Beautiful veranda with shelter from the sun or the rain where you can sit and watch the world go by. We would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone heading to the island. Easy to find, very central to north or South Island. This was just a really great getaway for my husband and I!

Simple, homey, great value. The cottage had everything we needed for a quiet getaway and is well located as a base to explore the island. Beautifully private and surrounded by nature. We appreciated the robes for the hot tub!

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway

We had a lovely time.
The hosts - Kim & Philip were communicative and pleasant people who welcome guests to their huge property with chickens and deers etc.
Our timing was spot on to overlap the snow in early March and with our brilliant yellow Beemobile (Smart for two), we wouldn't have been able to get up the hill to heaven. Anyway, Phillip cleared the path for us before we arrived which was the most unexpected. Kim had prepared a basket of goodies to welcome our arrival.
Anyway, we had peaceful and almost a time travel experience in the cottage. The cottage has a touch of the 80s and even earlier feel to it. Maybe due to the style - choice of colours or certain appliances.
I love the clock in the lounge which constantly shows 12:00 and to be honest, being there is like the time has frozen. I believe it was the intention of the host to leave battery out of the clock. lol

We had a nice time at this rustic cottage. The highlights were definitely the quiet location and hot tub. It was a nice cozy stay. Only complaint would be the cleanliness. There was spiderwebs in a few places and a lot of the dishes/cups were dirty.

Great location, close to farm stands, Black and Lavender field and Ganges- We cooked all our meals indoors - Great for kids- quiet neighbourhood.

This is a peaceful, relaxing, quiet cottage. The owners respect your privacy and want you to enjoy the tranquility. The wildlife is abundant and you will want to spend a lot of time sitting on the porch. The model railway was quaint and Kim's artwork is very beautiful. Salt Spring Island is a charming place but parking in Ganges can be challenging.
