We stayed at this beautiful location for 3 nights. Great access to the Olympic NP and a wonderful place to come home to at night. Plan on sitting on the dock enjoying your beverage of choice while watching the fog roll in!

My son and new wife stayed here after their wedding on the lake. It was the perfect spot. Grandparents were going to be here, but we switched it up at the last minute. So glad we did. Sweet and romantic for the newlyweds. And they are young, so the hike to the cabin didn't bother them.

Lake Sutherland continues to be one of our favorite summer getaways! The house was clean and cozy - and was able to fit our family of 4 with two kids ages 7 and 9. The dock and kayaks were perfect for swimming and boating.

This place was really good for us. Note: four people fit VERY cozy in this space. Better for 2-3. The steep decline/steps down to the cabin was not a problem for our crew, but you will want to be wearing sensible shoes as there is loose gravel on steep steps, and a handrail - that I used. We actually liked the remove this put us from the road, and the situatedness of the cabin feels private, though there are near neighbors on the lake. WiFi is a bit patchy. I wouldn't really go here for the tech. It's a fantastic location and both very cute and spotlessly clean. Has all the kitchen and laundry and other amenities that you'll need if you are exploring the Olypmic Peninsula by day. We also LOVED the guidebook and a few other resources (restaurant guide) left by the host. The trails outlined in the guide were both spectacular and just slightly off the beaten track. The directions to Obstruction Point trailhead (just 8 miles from Hurricane Ridge trailhead) was a particularly good insight. Many thanks.

We have stayed in many lovely places around the U.S. and in other countries. This was one of the most beautiful places we ever stayed, ever. We were in awe of the lake and the light on the lake early in the morning, in the middle of the day, at the end of the day, and as darkness fell. The water was so clear, we swam with masks and snorkels just to dive underwater through the sun beams reflected from the surface down into the depths. The cabin itself was charming; the walkway down from the road enchanting. From just about every place in the cabin, you look upon the lake. We like to cook and everything we needed was in the cabin. Towels, blankets- all top-notch. Two types of coffee makers-terrific. Grill with extra tank of propane-perfect. And, we were so close to wonderful hiking, some places only a 10 minute drive. I think I rate this as the best, most beautiful place we have ever stayed.

The Cozy Cabin is aptly named, it is the sweetest and most lovely cabin around. We stayed here as a jumping off point for exploring the Olympic Peninsula as our favorite beaches and forest walks are within an hour of the lake. We loved being able to swim in the morning before heading out and returning for an evening kayak and star watching from the dock. The cabin is perfectly outfitted for light cooking including filtered water in the fridge for drinking, fire pit evening marshmallow roasts, and comfortable indoor video viewing. Pro tip: pack in smaller bags vs. one big bag as it's easier to get up and down the stairs to the cabin. Tammy is a wonderful host and we are very much looking forward to our return. Clean, beautiful property. The kids loved swimming in the lake. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation.

My wife and I stayed here for our Elopement and we absolutely loved it! The pictures do not give it justice to how beautiful the place really is. Communication with the host was really easy and accommodating to our requests. Would love to come again!

Our stay was even better than expected! There is quite the hike down to the cabin, but its very much worth it. Just something to keep in mind if there's mobility issues. But the kitchen was well stocked, there's plenty of bedding and extra blankets, and the kayaks are a wondferul amenity! The view from the cabin is extraordinary. We would definitely stay again!

Great location for numerous day hikes. Beautiful view of lake each morning and everything you need. We like to cook and kitchen provided all the essentials. Would definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our down time here, kayaking, sitting on the decks, and grilling some meals. The rental had all we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer and really relaxed! It was a bit tricky carrying a cooler down from our car, but we made it without incident! We hope to come back :)

Beautiful cabin and outdoor space. Everything was clean and comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Decks, dock, kayaks, and amazing view of Lake Sutherland were the highlights. Our kids (11 and 8) didn’t want to leave! Thanks for a perfect start to our OP vacation.

Frankly, I don’t want to say much about this place because we love it so much!!! And don’t want it to get too booked out! I don’t even give the name of it to my closest family members.

Absolutely lovely cabin on beautiful Lake Sutherland. Couldn’t have asked for more. Comfy bed, lots of great outdoor seating areas, kayaks, and convenient for exploring the park.

My husband and I stayed here just two weeks ago and it was just a little piece of heaven! The reflection on the lake alone was so picturesque and the seats at the end of the dock was our favorite place to unwind. We had some rainy weather and it was a bit chilly during our stay but that did not stop us from taking advantage of the kayaks supplied! We had so much fun! You’re just surrounded by beauty! The bed was so so comfortable! House was spotless! Fully stocked kitchen and a kureg(made this coffee lover very happy). Just grab a coffee and enjoy your environment! From any place inside the home you were just looking out to the most beautiful views! There are stairs (which you’re well informed about) and we found them to be so charming! Everything was well lit! The drive to this location was so stunning as well! We stayed at this property to visit areas in Olympic national park and were in awe at all its surroundings! I didn’t want to leave the property I really wish we had booked a longer stay! If we ever make our way back to Washington we’re absolutely requesting to stay here again!

Loved the place although the weather did not cooperate for the fishing i had planned. Still lots to do around the area and enjoyable just looking out the window. One caution I would give is if you are elderly as I am the walk down to cabin may be a little bit of work for you. Just something to consider.

We stayed at the Cozy Cabin for two nights in April. The property is absolutely stunning. The views are incredible, the cabin was clean and cozy and provided excellent accommodations for our family of four. The walk down the cabin is no joke. Plan ahead from a packing stand point because if you have a lot of stuff you will be getting a work out in! We basically got our kids down the stairs, situated them and make the rest of the trips to the car on our own. Once down the cabin feels like a whole other world, stunning lake views and a private dock to enjoy make the stairs totally worth it. There is one cord of firewood provided, but if you plan on having fires each night you will want to bring more. We had a hard time finding some nearby, they were out but we did eventually source a few more bundles in Port Angeles. The kitchen was well stocked for meals, the beds were super comfy and the host provides kayaks and life vests. We had such an incredible time on the Olympic Peninsula and we would absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend!

This cabin is absolutely amazing and such a relaxing place. The ambiance of the lake and location, the lights, fireplace and open feel of the place was all wonderful.
