The house was perfect for us (4 adults). Although we didn't go in the water, it was easily accessible. The location was ideal, especially with a convenient store within a mile of the house. However if one is planning to make meals at the house, you will need to provide everything (including spices etc) that you would need to get at a bigger store before arriving. Would have liked additional amenities (iron, ironing board, hair dryer) as well as flashlight/candles/matches since there was a power outage in the area, but these factors would not deter us from returning to this beautiful home.

If you’re looking to relax with some peace and quiet and a beautiful view. This is your place! The property has everything you need, Awesome patio, fire pit, private dock and if you fish; you’ll catch plenty of fish in this cove (I did). The property is super clean and spacious. I really enjoyed it!

Enjoyed getting away to a tranquil location. Weather was cool. We had a fire going the entire weekend. Very relaxing.

We had a problem out of cockroaches and squirrels in the attic

First off, the pictures do NOT do this place any justice! It is so beautiful and peaceful 😍 We did a three night stay with a 8 and 2 year old and they enjoyed every minute of it. The home was extremely clean and well stocked with linens, extra supplies, and almost every kitchen appliance you can think of. You will need to being condiments and seasonings if you plan to cook, supplies for the coffee maker, and Tupperware if you plan to save anything. The view from the balconies and the view of the lake in general were so beautiful. We caught a good bit of fish and threw them back so ita a perfect spot for fishing. There is a charcoal grill but it is lit by gas and also a full gas grill. The internet went out while we were there and the owners were nice enough to stop by and make aure everything was ok. There is a restaurant about 2-3 minutes away on the lake called The Retreat which is beautiful. You can eat breakfast lunch or dinner by the lake. Theres also a market/gas station across feom the restaurant. The Winnsboro train museum was 29 minutes away so we made a day of that with the kids but overall it was a pleasant trip and I look forward to booking again!

The house is tucked away on the lake and was so quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfy, we had everything we needed in the house. The deck has several seating areas and ceiling fans that make it perfect for morning with lights that make it perfect for evenings. We were able to hang out on the deck in July which we didn't expect. It was a great place to walk the neighborhood as well. No traffic so all you hear are the birds. Lots of comfy seats inside and a nice kitchen made it feel like home. You have an amazing view of the lake from the den, and every bedroom has a view of the lake. This is a great place!

What a great gem, hidden in a quiet cove near the beautiful main lake. The home itself has lots of character! It is comfy and very clean, with great porches/decks. There is a beautiful shaded yard on the road side. It is very near the local market, where you can get non-ethanol gas for boats, as well as most anything else you’d need. A five pound bass caught in the main channel was the biggest “hit” for the grandsons! Thank you!

Me and my family and our guests have enjoyed everything provided on our weekend stay and we were so appreciative for The Granger’s for allowing us to have our family function there. Everything was nice from the house, the peaceful environment to the fabulous back and front yard space and view of the lake. Til this day my family and guest still talk about the wonderful time we had that weekend and we hope to book back soon in the near future.

I’ve stayed here several times over the years and it just gets better. From fishing to just sitting listening to nature, you never get enough. A lot of sites advertise a lot of things, but this is what it says and more..We will be back …A lil bit of heaven on earth!

Beautiful home with charming style

The cabin is very nice and equipped with anything you might need. We are already planning another visit. The owners were very accommodating.

The property was wonderful. The river has abundant herons and osprey. The kayaking was great. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at the property! We had plenty of room and privacy with the three bedrooms and 2.5 baths! The ambiance was woodsy and comforting. The convenience store down the road was also very helpful! Things to know: if you’d like to use the fireplace, you do need to bring your own wood. It was not provided. Additionally, basic cooking essentials are not provided such as salt, pepper, oil or any plastic wrap/foil. Also, we had trouble with the oven heating fully, so just keep this in mind if you intend to cook. All in all, we would absolutely stay here again, but come with additional supplies.

Just east and fabulous

We came up for the weekend. It was very secluded and peaceful. The host were very attentive and overall great trip.

Very nice well kept place. Something came up the first night I couldn't make it there smh. I got there Saturday and it turned out to be everything I was looking for definitely will be booking again!

Beautiful house and property but strange noises day and night throughout the house. Didn't get any sleep and when speaking with the property manager, she stated it was probably squirrels running across the tin roof. I know the difference between running on wood and running on tin. Needless to say, I didn't stay the second night because I knew I wouldn't get any sleep.

Our stay was very nice and the owners are very reachable. I love the large deck and not that far of a walk to get to the lake. Even though we had a hurricane one of the days, we still enjoyed it very much.

Such a beautiful spot on the lake with a large shaded yard for play and relaxation! An altogether wonderful place with great parking and a quiet neighborhood.

We have been renting from this family for over 20 years they never disappoint. Always something new and improved. Thanks again for another great vacation. Melissa Patton
