Overall our stay was great... I'd love to give this 5 stars but there were just a few things that we felt like made this 4 stars instead of 5. The TV in one of the bedrooms didn't work at all and the wall mounted TV in the living room kept drooping - and looked like it was starting to pull away from the wall! Some of the rooms were missing blinds and one of the downstairs blinds actually kept falling off the window. There was a little issue with wifi because the code that was in the check in message didn't match the book but the host was quick to respond to my message about it. We also didn't realize that the bedrooms in the carriage house are actually split up into 2 separate apartments and have their own entrances. We felt like the description of the set up could have been more clear. Again, overall it was a great stay! Loved that its right next to the bar and restaurant and it was very cute.

The location of this rental is gorgeous - it's right on the shores of Green Lake and next door to Norton's. The houses can fit a lot of guests but the accommodations are very simple. The property wasn't clean to the standards we're used to at rental properties. Also, pans and appliances are very old. I didn't even feel safe cooking with the scratched pans. If it's location and space you're after this place is great but the property itself is below average.

We so enjoyed our family reunion at the Green Lake cabins. The various cabins /apartments provided an ideal arrangement for our three families to have separate spaces but also get together on the spacious wrap-around porch. The quaint village was within walking distance for treats or supplies. Management was responsive and ground maintenance came back after our reunion celebration was over for the day.

We had a fantastic time staying at Badger Shores. Property was as expected, and Colin was very accommodating and always quick to reply. Would definitely stay here again.

We had such a great experience renting this property! The owners are so accommodating and responsive. The homes were perfect for our group to give every family their own space and then the main house for gathering. The lawn and bonfire area is perfect for family get togethers with an expansive yard right on the water for kids to run around safely and adults to watch from the expansive porch! (Bonus was having Norton’s restaurant right next to the place for a cocktail or meal) We brought our fishing boat and also rented a large pontoon with a water slide from Greenlake Marina for all to enjoy! The house had everything we needed for a great stay. We will be back.

Great property with two different buildings (20 feet apart). Large wrap around deck and plenty of green space with lake shore. Both buildings were well kept, clean, and updated. Definitely a place we're targeting for a return visit.

Children, grandchildren, and grandparents all had a good time.

I would highly recommend staying here! Our extended family of 14 had a wonderful, relaxing vacation with plenty of amenities and space for all!

We did a family birthday for my father - ages 2 - 70. We had an absolute blast. Everything was extremely easy. Was awesome that there was paddle boards/kayaks there. We had everything we could possibly need - extra beds to spare. Having lived in Wisconsin all our lives, we still found such beauty in this new spot. Definitely will come again.

We loved our stay at Green Lake. Our family rented all 3 properties and we had great weather so we spent most of our time outside enjoying the lake. The porch and yard are amazing! The "100 feet of lakefront property" has a large dock with 4 other boats parked there so throughout the weekend people in golf carts would drive through the front lawn of the property and park their golf carts in the lawn to access their boats- the pictures on VRBO do not show this mini boat marina so we were very surprised! Norton's restaurant is literally right next door- you can watch people eating on the porch from the front lawn of the property. Please read the listing carefully before traveling, any extras that are not listed like, salt and pepper, olive oil, and shampoo are not provided. We did call ahead and ask for firewood and our host provided plenty- which was great. It's clear that this is a rental property is in need of a little TLC and extra cleaning. In the main house- there were ants and crumbs in the kitchen, and a bat in the upstairs bedroom! (We did get the bat out of the home with a towel) Some of the blinds in the bedrooms were broken and under the beds were old socks and spider webs. In the carriage house the pullout sofa sleeper in the downstairs is broken (and there are mouse traps set up under it) and the queen mattress upstairs really needs to be replaced. A good cleaning and a few updates to the listing and the property would make this place amazing. We did have a great weekend on Green Lake and enjoyed the lake plenty!

Colin was excellent to work with! The property was just as listed, giving plenty of space for our large, multi-generational group! Space to run, boat, play, eat, and enjoy each other! Looking forward to making this an annual tradition!

The location and property were great! You can’t beat having three separate living spaces. The yard was big and level, perfect for the kids to run around and play yard games. We also did a lot of fishing off the pier. The homes were clean and fully stocked with supplies, better than any other vrbo we have rented for vacation. All that said we did have a few mishaps with the biggest being there wasn’t internet when we got there. I called the owner and he responded right away and had the cleaning lady drop off the new router and modem but someone couldn’t come by until after 5pm to hook it up. My brother had been planning a working vacation so he had to drive back home because we couldn’t get it working in time for his meetings. While we were out with the kids my dad had to find the modem/router (in the storm shelter/basement) and hooked it up. It was a big bummer though not being set up and losing a member of our party. The next item was that the tru green guy can by to fertilize at 7:15am. It was super loud and we asked him to come back later but he said because he started he had to finish and the kids had to stay off the lawn for 1-2 hours. Then, that afternoon the lawn mowing guy came by. I will say that the property owner was very responsive and did the best he could. I think he recently purchased the property so I’m sure these will be remedied going forward. The consensus of all in our party was that we would definitely stay there again.

We used the cabin for our wedding party to stay at. We had the best time! There were paddle boards and kayaks, the boys could fish from the dock, the location and cabins were beautiful. They were clean, spacious and came with everything! The owner was great with communication! I would highly recommend staying here.

We visited during COVID so our ability to venture out in Green Lake was a bit restricted. That being said, the house and location were great. Norton's is literally next door. If you want to stop by for food or a drink, it is 75 feet away.

Excellent property and perfect gathering place for extended families or friends. Main level of main house has was just renovated and it’s open layout is perfect for entertaining, and the front covered porch is perfect with perfect lake front views and breezes. Owners are very attentive to questions and making sure we were comfortable. Definitely, a place we will rent again in the future.

Great location next to Norton’s. Nice to have two homes and the carriage house was especially nice with a full suite on both levels. Great to be right on lake with dock access.

We had a great time celebrating our parents' 50th anniversary in Green Lake. The property was perfect for our family, offering multiple kitchens and separate accommodations for my parents while the kids could all bunk up together in one house. Proximity to town and pontoon rental was perfect, and we enjoyed a lovely special event dinner at Norton's next door. We kayaked, paddle boarded, rented a boat for two days, caught fish off the dock and played lots of games in the fabulous yard. It offered us everything we hoped for, for a perfect 4th of July. Watching the fireworks right from our spot in the backyard was a huge bonus! Communication was great while we were there -- firewood was ready for us, and life vests quickly showed up on request. Thank you!!

Management is as great as the property itself. Love the fact that there are two separate houses on the property which provides a little more privacy for people who would prefer that. The place is perfect, right on the lake. Has a cute little restaurant next door if you don't feel like cooking. Amazing porch and views, dock available for rental boat...couldn't be better.

We had an awesome stay on Green Lake. The house was terrific and with seven or eight of us, it was perfect. The location was nice as we walked downtown to many of the establishments. We spent some time at Norton's and that was great to have it so close for some good food and good times. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for great accommodations on Green Lake. We had one issue and one of the owners stopped in immediately to fix the cable.

Traveling from Minneapolis and heading south for the holidays, we needed a night stay to break up the long trip. The cottage was a holiday gem; well appointed, cozy with charm and a tranquil view overlooking the lake. An unexpected treat was watching through the front window on a snowy morning , the bald eagles catch fish in the open water on the lake. The accommodation and setting felt like a Norman Rockwell moment.
