We used this property for our church’s junior high trip and it was perfect! Plenty of sleeping room - and the kids LOVED the basement games! Communication was a breeze, and we even took advantage of the apartment pool mentioned in the listing. Great location, close to the interstate so a quick drive anywhere around the area! Steve is one of the best hosts we have ever had. He is extremely friendly and readily available. He is quick to respond to any questions. He allowed us to check in a bit early as the house was ready early. That really helped the young families with their travel and naps for kids. The house was amazing. It was clean and very well appointed.
We were a party of 14 and there was plenty of linens, beds, dishes and cookware. Nothing was overlooked. We did not have to bring ANYTHING. There were sealed toiletries like toothbrushes, toothpaste, makeup remover, etc. Just like a hotel! The house has so much space as well as things to do in the basement. The hot tub was clean and in good working order. The deck was nicely furnished and allowed us some nice time outside after the kids went to bed. The house is set back from the road and we did not have street noise. We had a lovely time. We would highly recommend this property without any reservations whatsoever.

I had a group of 16 college students planning for a student organization and they loved this place! It was in a great location close to lots of options to eat, coffee shops, etc. also lots of space to have large groups together in the basement.

Good place to hang out. Great attention to details regarding the little things that make a difference. House could use some work- lots of outlets didn’t work, wall and ceiling cracks, but a solid place to enjoy family and friends.

This place is nice and full of entertainment options! We met as a halfway point for one night. We had a great time. Steven was great to communicate with. A couple pieces of furniture were weak and broken but after letting Steven know I’m confident those have been removed from the home. This place is conveniently located just off the major highway to bypasses Des Moines on the West side. We met at The Machine Shed upon arrival and Cracker Barrel upon departure both within minutes away. Great stay, many memories made. We weren’t desperate and I did not need to ask but extra bedding could be an issue so plan ahead and inquire. The step into the house has settled and is an extra tall step that caused a bit of a problem but once in all was good.

The basement was awesome. The boys loved that space! The hot tub was also enjoyed. The kitchen had everything we needed.
Our one and only issue was with the inaccuracy of the number of people the home was supposed to sleep. Because of this discrepancy we had to sleep on the floors and couches without blankets and pillows. I had tried contacting Steven via phone and text upon our late arrival, but was unsuccessful.
Steven tried to make this right the following morning when I brought it to his attention with a late check out and a second night, but unfortunately we were unable to extend our stay.
We would stay here again, but with fewer people.

We had an absolutely great time! We used the property for a family Christmas gathering. The reason we chose this house was because of the games in the basement and they did not disappoint. The kids had a great time with them during the day and the adults enjoyed them after the kids went to bed. I would highly recommend this property!

We loved how roomy the place was! Had enough beds and bathrooms for 5-6 ladies. The upstairs and downstairs living areas were perfect for our reunion. It was well stocked with toiletries, kitchen items, towels and washcloths, which was greatly appreciated. We had trouble with the hot tub but our host did his best to rectify our problem and responded back promptly to any questions or concerns.

This was a spacious and clean property, which was very well stocked with everything you would need for a wonderful stay. Steven is an attentive host whom was willing to help and made sure we enjoyed our stay. We are planning to make this an annual stay!

We had 4 families stay together in this home while attending the National Jr. Shorthorn show at the fairgrounds. Plenty of room for everyone! It was nice to be able to prepare meals and have extra room compared to a hotel room!

We had a group of 8 gathered for an offsite work meeting and this house provided everything we needed. Plenty of space and beds for everyone, a nice gathering area with large couches inside and a large deck to relax outside, nice kitchen, and plenty of stuff for us to do in the evenings (pool, ping pong, arcade games, etc). I highly recommend this place!

This place is huge and has lots of fun games to play and space to enjoy with your family. We mostly just slept here, but when we got back in at the end of the day, we had a great time winding down in the basement with the huge couches, bar, pool table and ping pong table. Out 8 year old and 16 year old both had a blast. I would definitely book again.

We loved the basement game room and can only imagine how amazing the deck and back yard are when it’s nice out. It was easy to find, right on a busy road, one negative thing with that was some street noise at night.

We really had a great time here. Although we had a little trouble finding the house with our GPS. The house and yard are very spacious, and the kids enjoyed all the games in the basement. The neighbors, however, are not the best and on several occasions were very rude and threatening to my family. There was a chair broken upon our arrival and they wanted me to pay for it. I asked them to check their security cameras to verify that we did not do the damage. I have not heard back from them. All in all, it is a great house, located in a central spot for what we had planned, and the hosts are accommodating.

Sound system links between the two large gathering rooms which is nice, and is easy to connect to. Downstairs is a game room, movie room, bar, pinpong/billiards.
Place was clean when we got there, and host was responsive and welcoming.
Definitely recommend staying at this property for large groups. It provides a great vibe.

Family members in need of a large space to gather. Basement was perfect for spacing and seating with a full kitchen, restroom and common area sleeping (perfect for kids). The kids loved the video games, pool and ping pong table. We brought paper plates, cups and plastic silverware, but you don't need too as the kitchen is well stocked with tableware and has a dishwasher (and dish detergent). Its better than being at home with plenty of pots, crockpots, serving bowls, utensils (didn't expect these conveniences and I know there were more kitchen aids than we used or needed). We ran short on trash bags (especially with all of the paper products we brought). Hot tub wasn't operational (I think winds knocked the cover off and lines froze). Steve (and Emily did all they could to try and get it functional), but our stay ended before we could use. Our family still had a wonderful time and are very appreciative of the room/space. We are already planning our next family weekend. House was amazing and my family members all wished we "lived" there.

This home was the perfect place to do just this. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and plenty of things to keep us busy!
I know the photos you see online make this house look fun and awesome and it is but these photos really do not do the house justice.
