Cozy home away from home. Casita was comfortable and everything necessary was there for your convenience. We would recommend this VRBO to our friends.

Very nice place. There was a great yard for our pup as well. Bed was comfortable. Generally this was one of the better properties where we have stayed.

We had a wonderful time at Deanne’s casita. I the location was perfect for us. It was great to be close to the city (trader Joe’s, sprouts, Whole Foods are a few minutes away) and yet feel far from it. The neighborhood was really nice for walking our dogs. We did a lot of hiking and we found Deanne’s casita to be close to a number of dog friendly trails..Catalina State Park, Oracle State Park, the wild burro loop in Marana, and Sweetwater Preserve. Also, if you have doggies, check out DeGrazia’s Art Gallery in the sun..a 14 minute drive from the casita and pups are welcomed inside. Oro Valley has a farmers’ market and concerts in the park. Deanie was a very nice host and the casita was clean. If you’re considering her rental, I highly suggest that you book a reservation.

Loved our stay in this cozy casita. It was a great home base for a variety of activities including biking, hiking, running, and swimming at Oro Valley aquatic center. The space was perfect for a month long visit for two adults. Kitchen was well equipped and beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean upon our arrival and checking in was easy. We hope to rent it again on a future trip to Tucson.

The casita was clean and well equipped with all cookware, linens and basically anything needed. Lots of information was available about local sights, restaurants and activities. Host was friendly and quickly responsive to query. Location was easily accessible. We would consider staying here again if the occasion arises.

Wonderful place to stay. Everything was just perfect and I absolutely loved and appreciated the labeling of everything and all the instructions, it took the guessing out of the picture. I’ve been to many places where I tried to figure things out and it was complicated, this place was a breeze.

Casita was located in Oro Valley, a very nice area. Perfect for 2 adults but would be crowded with 4. Weather did not permit us (Feb.) to enjoy the patio. Did enjoy having the fireplace due to the cold. Located near many places to eat & shop. Enjoyed Trader Joes. Would highly recommend staying there !!!

Great little casita that totally met our needs for the first half of our 2023 Winter adventure. Everything we needed was included, and provisioning was available close by. We'll be back!

Cute and convenient
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this casita, especially the patio in back where we spent hours enjoying the sky, Mexican bird of paradise, birds, and moon. Very comfortable bed, nicely equipped kitchen, cozy fireplace and recliner couch. It is a convenient to drive to the Catalinas, Mount Lemmon, Sabino Canyon, and Tohono Chul. It is in a very nice neighborhood that has easy access to roads to good restaurants like Wildflower and El Charro. I highly recommend it!

I'd stay here againin a heart beat!
Well appointed kitchen. If anything was amiss, the host was prompt in addressing our concern. Loved the enclosed yard for our dog. It was mainly my husband and I, and when our kids joined us, the 1 bathroom situation was cramped.

Welcoming, comfortable and quiet!
I first was going to rent this beautiful casita for 8 weeks for a travel nursing assignment, and when I was asked to extend, Deanie made it seamless and stressless! It is in a great area and close to Catalina State Park, where I spent a lot of time during my days off! Also close to other conveniences, resturants and shopping as well. The views are amazing of the Catalina Mountains from the patio!
The casita itself had everything I needed! Very inviting, comfortable and so quiet, which is something I truly needed for my job!
I can't say enough!
Thank you so very much and your hospitality was top notch!!

Excuse my tardiness in leaving feedback
The location was easy, convenient and fairly quiet for my needs. The owner was available if I needed anything which is a plus. Two things I would like to mention-- first the back yard could be more appealing. I know it is the desert and there are critters. Second, I personally thought the cleaning deposit was too high for one person. If a family 3-4 people maybe it would be fine. Thank you to the owner

Perfect for us
My husband, my disabled daughter, and I were visiting the area to see family and old friends. The location was perfect and the size and layout worked really well for our situation. My disabled daughter was able to move freely around the house and the setup of the bathroom and shower was very helpful to her. Deanie was great at communication and understanding of our situation. It also worked great as a private place for my husband to work remotely.

Great location. Beds not very comfortable. Furnishings are very inexpensive. But it was quiet, clean and budget friendly. I personally would not return.

Our stay in February 2020
The cassata was clean and met our needs very well. The owner was very receptive to our needs and supplied a lounge chair and juicer missing at the unit. We were very happy with the accommodations and the owner.

Just what we were looking for
My husband needed a place to stay for an extended work trip that wasn’t a hotel. He needed access to a full kitchen since he has early morning work calls. This place was perfect for him. Communication and check in were easy. Place was clean and everything worked just as it should. We would def book this place in the future for return work trips.

Happy to be here!
We spent the month of January at the Casa Del Sol. We liked the setting, being able to view the sunrise and sunset daily. The casita offered us complete privacy and had all the amenities we needed for our stay - and we made use of most of them. We would stay again.

Beautiful house, location, landscapes, and easy access to anywhere in Tucson
Casa Del Sol is a tiny super fun house located in the desert's foothills. We liked it so much that we rented it first in May 2016 while presenting at a scientific conference, and then again in April 2018. Sit on the balcony and enjoy the orange sunset, bunnies, and bats. A huge Walmart as well as Safeway, plus numerous local restaurants and services nearby and easily accessible by car. Go visit the downtown zoo or the Desert Museum--both very entertaining. Mexican food around is obviously genuine and so good. The owner Deanie will help you with anything you need and is easily reachable anytime.

1 Bdr Casita was Perfect
I actually stayed in owner's 1-bdr casita for about 5 weeks. Everything was perfect. It was immaculately clean and I never saw any desert critters (e.g. Scorpions). The casita was very spacious with a nice tv, sectional sofa, comfortable bed, washer/dryer, gas grill, covered patio, and fenced pet area. Very ample parking right out the front door. Owner very non-intrusive, yet responsive. My gas grill tank ran out of gas and she replaced it within hours. Casita came well stocked with the reasonable request that you leave it stocked for the next guest. I highly recommend the 1 bdr if you and maybe one other guest are staying in Tucson. Small pets considered with approval (I brought my 8-pound hypoallergenic yorkie with me). The casita is located in an established neighborhood-type area very convenient to shopping, grocery stores, entertainment, and I-10. Advanced payment was easy via PayPal.

Perfect for what we needed
We needed a place to stay while we found our retirement home in Tucson. This VRBO fit the bill, particularly since we have two mature beagles. We looked at many properties in this NW area, but, of course, we found our new home on the NE side. All of the amenities were present and in working order as described. It is older and there can be improvements, but overall it is a well-maintained property. Deanie really gives you privacy even though she's next door, but when we needed her, she responded. The air conditioning went out during a heat wave in May, of course on a weekend, but Deanie had her busy repairman there and it was fixed in a few hours. Great customer service! Our only real complaint was finding some dirty dishes in the cabinets and a dirty BBQ (that was almost brand new). This falls to the previous renters and not the owner as I can see how these could be easily missed during a interim cleaning. We would definitely recommend this VRBO.

Modern spacious casita in a good location
The owner has two casitas at this location adjacent to her home. We inquired about the 2 bdrm unit but were informed of the newly opened and larger 1 bdrm unit. It was great and had everything we desired. Laundry facility right inside the spacious bathroom, comfy bedroom with large closets, and a great room with dining, office and TV/music areas. The covered patio with gas grill provided many a pleasant dining experience. And the view to the east is great. It is in a good neighborhood for walking, and many stores and restaurants are nearby. Highly recommended.

Colorful little house in the desert
My partner, brother, and I stayed a week in May 2016 in Casa Del Sol and were delighted by the experience. The house is charming, with bright southwest colors and simple yet effective design. It was perfectly clean and all ready for us when we arrived. The location is wonderful – basically in the Sonoran desert in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to various stores, restaurants, parks, and gardens; downtown Tucson is only 25m away. Make sure to take a walk around the house at sunset – you’ll see beautiful cacti as well as bats flying and bunnies running. Also visit the desert museum in the Saguaro National Park. We highly recommend Casa Del Sol.

A great retreat in Tucson
This is an excellent retreat for a stay in Tucson. It is accessible to main roads, quiet, well maintained and has everything a visitor needs. It added so much to our stay and we were able to relax and enjoy what Tucson had to offer. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives.

Very pleasant and easy stay.
Our group of friends stayed here to attend a wedding in Tucson. Deanie made it very easy to reserve and rent. The house is simply and tastefully arranged and decorated, it had everything we needed, and we felt very at home and comfortable. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the back patio, with a nice view of desert plants and flowers! The surrounding neighborhood is friendly and peaceful, and it was also an easy drive to the restaurants and stores we wanted to visit.
We really enjoyed the hiking and Desert Museum in the area; I hope we can come back sometime and we would certainly try to stay here again.

Fantastic stay! Very private, comfortable, wonderful view, great location, lots of wildlife. My 9 pound dog was very secure in the fenced yard. I loved sitting outside under the covered patio. Deanie is not only a fantastic landlady she is an awesome real estate broker who is a very kind woman full of local history and she found the perfect place for me to live!!!!

Comfortable Casita in Suburban Tucson
The pictures and description were right on. Beds are comfy, great water pressure, nice sized shower, private back porch. Perfect for 2 people with a dog. We had 4 people part of the time and it was a little tight but workable.
It was our first trip to Tucson and we were surprised to find that is was big and sprawling. Casa Del Sol is basically in a north west suburb with plenty of shopping and restaurants a short drive away - plus a wonderful church- St Marks and golf course - Crooked Tree. It is also within a 20 minute drive to some beautiful hiking at Catalina State Park and Pima Canyon. Many other sites are 30-90 minutes away- a lot more hiking and golf courses, downtown Tucson, Sabina Canyon, national parks, the airport etc.
Deannie was helpful and friendly when we needed her- which wasn't often.
While the kitchen has all the basics- plus crock pot and a few other handy items- we found (like at other VRBO rentals) only dull knives, scratched Teflon frying pans, missing pot lids, sliding screen door that won't stay on track.
Overall, we loved Tucson and plan to go again. We would recommend staying at Casa Del Sol.

Convenience in location and fully equipped. The property is as described and comfortable. We've stayed twice now and we'll return. Owner is very accommodating.
