Family from Vermont, Colorado and California enjoyed our stay.

Property is huge, there’s everything you could possibly want from a cabin in the woods!

We can’t say enough good things about the property and owners. We were contacted ahead of time with information on what was available at the house and where we should shop for groceries on our way in. Everything is wonderfully organized and the house is furnished with everything you would ever need. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for three nights for a family reunion. There were 16 of us. The house is beautiful, and has an exceptional kitchen! We enjoyed the fire pit and backyard for games. It was quiet and peaceful. Lots of birds in the morning and owls at night! The hot tub and sauna were a big hit. I live in Port Angeles so know the area well, but it was a treat to stay at this beautiful getaway, which is an easy launch for many things to explore on the OP. Would stay again!

Great family vacation. Home was clean and comfortable for a large group. Great location to visit Olympic National Park.

For a visit to the Olympic Peninsula this could not have been better. Well maintained and stocked house that had everything that we needed and more. Loved the sauna, firepit and hot tub and the little trails down into the woods. The layout of the home was very nice with 3 BRs upstairs and the master BR downstairs. Was perfect for our family of 5. Feels remote but you are only 10 minutes from stores/services etc. Easy access to the Park entrance to Hurricane Ridge and especially to the Deer Park entrance. Don't let the 8-mile dirt road deter you, it is spectacular up there!
Thanks - we will be back.

We loved the abundant space, the wood burning stove, the piano, the badminton and other outdoor games, wood chopping, the backyard trails, the hot tub, the outdoor fire pit and bbq and the nicely appointed kitchen. It was a great place for our three generation family vacation to Olympic Natl Park and Victoria BC.

This was an amazing place to stay, and we were all impressed with how well organized everything was with the multitude of labels and directions. You name it, and the host had thought of it! Earplugs in every bedside table, etc. Exploring the “magic” forest in the back yard, finding banana slugs, hiking in Olympic National Park, bathing in the hot tub, cooking s’mores and hot dogs over an open fire, basking in the sauna, the spaciousness, comfortable sleeping, are just a few of the wonderful aspects of OLF Lodge. It was so well equipped for family members of all ages! Absolutely wonderful place!

This is an amazing lodge located near Olympic National Park. It has tons of amazing amenities including hot tub, sauna, campfire, hiking trails, NO TV, and more. Can’t recommend it enough - and try the waffle mix!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We spent the Thanksgiving holiday at the lodge and the well stocked kitchen had everything we needed. In fact the lodge had everything we needed. It was a great experience and the communication with the property manager and owner was top notch. I would absolutely stay at the lodge again.

This is the second time our family stayed at the lodge. Plenty of bathrooms. The wonderful sauna. The little kids love to hike the trails around the house. We all love to jog and walk the road out to the highway. So close to all the Olympic park trails as well as beaches. We use the fire pit for s’mores and conversation. Big comfortable table for all our family meals. Such a well appointed and easy to use kitchen. Corn hole and running around the big yard. Non stop fun for our family.

This is our second time visiting The Lodge and we were so happy to be back! Love the induction cooktop and well-stocked kitchen, enjoyed the firepit and s'mores, the hot tub and sauna, and sightseeing nearby. It is a fantastic place for family gatherings and we hope to return again.

I visited with ten of my friends from college. The space was not only spacious but meticulously organized, labeled, and it was a breeze finding anything we needed. The kitchen had every tool you could need for cooking and the kitchen is gorgeous.
The entire place is absolutely stunning and it’s just like in the photos. The host was very kind and communicative and we felt so relaxed and at ease.
It’s close enough to town that it was easy getting groceries or going out but far enough to feel like you’re surrounded by beautiful wilderness. Coming from New York I’d never seen so many stars!
It’s perfect for any age and large groups. There was 11 of us and it never felt cramped. We did bring our own projector screen because there’s no TV but it’s perfect without any screens if you want to get away from them. The hot tub and sauna were so relaxing and the proximity to the national park was very convenient.
Best vacation rental I’ve had so far.

The fourteen of us, ranging from 75 to 9 years of age, loved staying at this comfortable and well appointed home. Everything was easy to find and use, thanks to the owner's guides and instructions. The five grandkids spent their evenings exploring the grounds and playing games. The adults were happy to relax on the deck. Beds were comfortable and the well equipped and roomy kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The house was very clean. We especially loved the location - quiet and remote, yet within easy access to the northern parts of the Olympic peninsula and Olympic National Park, our primary reason for coming to Washington. We would definitely stay there again.

We knew we were coming to the Port Angeles area to explore the State Park, the shoreline and the beautiful PNW. What we did not expect was that the Foothills Lodge property was going to be an attraction in and of itself.
The lodge is pristine and obviously well maintained. And the owner took great personal care to anticipate and plan for all of his guests, with helpful reminders and insights tactfully placed throughout.
There is no TV. And it was commented by many in our group that that was one of the very best features. With all of the amenities and ample space to gather (and spread out) and enjoy the company of friends, we never missed it.
Perfect central location for the new Port Angeles visitor. We were never more than 20 minutes away from any of our various excursions and vacations stops.

The Olympic Foothills Lodge was everything we had hoped it to be for our family of 13. From the very well equipped kitchen with room for several at a time to be preparing food, to the backyard with so many activities for the children to do in the yard and exploring the trails.
We had room to spread out when needed and room to all be together as well. We had an experienced pianist with us who so enjoyed the beautiful piano and also a young pianist who enjoyed the piano a few times during our stay.
The house is close enough to town to not be too far away for any outings, but far enough from town to have a very private country experience.
We hope to return again for another wonderful stay.

It’s a fantastically well maintained house and property, that was perfect for a larger family trip. One great aspect of it beyond what shows up clearly in the description is that the hosts have really thought of everything and it was the most well stocked vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in. There’s a great chance we’ll go back for future gatherings.

The perfect place for our family reunion
We loved the beautiful Olympic Foothills Lodge! It was well equipped with everything we needed from cooking essentials to a stroller, children's books, and outdoor games. There was plenty of room for eating and gathering, both outdoors and indoors, and it was centrally located for exploring Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge, and Crescent Lake. Everyone in our group was impressed and we would love to stay here again.

Perfect Home
This home had everything we needed. It was clean and organized. The kitchen was fully stocked. They had recommendations for local hikes with round trip estimates as well as a well manicured trail in the property. It was the perfect home for our families vacation to the Pacific Northwest and Olympic National Park. Honestly there is very little chance we will ever have another VRBO experience quite this perfect.

Family vacation
Outstanding is not a good enough word. The house was magnificent. It was so clean , well organized and well stocked. I have been renting houses for our annual family vacations for 15 years and I have never been in a kitchen like this one. Everything you needed such as a crock pot, griddle, waffle maker, various utensils, seasonings and even supplies for s’mores to make around the outdoor fire pit were available. The house was full of family picture which really made you feel a part of the owners family. The piano was a major hit with our oldest granddaughter who plays. She serenaded us everyday. The hot tub was wonderful and something we used every night. Our sons used the sauna which they loved. There were plenty of board games and puzzles and games outside such as badminton and corn hole. The books in the library were incredible. Needless to say none of my family of 10, including the 3 kids, missed not having a television. If you are looking for an unbelievable vacation that totally rejuvenated you this is your place. We hopefully will be able to come back someday. Thank you for sharing your house.
P.S. Steve even provided us with his special recipe waffle mix, very good, and postcards and stamps.

Beautiful relaxing stay at Port Angeles
This was the perfect lodge to come back to after a great day of hiking and visiting the beach. The induction cooktop was amazing and this was the most well stocked, organized kitchen we'd ever seen. The three year old loved having s'mores over the bonfire in the back and I enjoyed the sauna almost every night. Hope we can return here soon!

Great get away
Great get away. We spent 3 nights and didn’t leave the property! We hiked, used the hot tub and sauna, made a fire in the outdoor fire pit and relaxed. We had my parents and our young children, everyone enjoyed it! Great place to come together for a vacation!

Beautiful house and area, superbly well organized
My friends and I stayed here for a holiday gathering. The house is lovely, comfortable, and has lots of amenities. We loved the sauna, the hot tub, and the wood stove. The drawer fridges built into the kitchen island were very useful for drink storage. We had no issues and no technical difficulties, and the experience was entirely a pleasant one.
The house is also incredibly well organized. Light switches are labeled, cabinets are labeled, instructions and documentation are co-located with every usable object. There is even a laminated index and map for the location of all of the utensils and appliances and cookware in the kitchen. We consulted it frequently, and it was a life-saver on more than one occasion.
The surrounding area is lovely, particularly the small creekside trail behind the house. I appreciated that the kitchen has a very large window so that the lovely backwoods view is visible throughout.
The piano was slightly out of tune, but that's not unexpected given frequent traffic and fluctuating temperatures. I did appreciate that it was available, even if we didn't make much use of it.
I've been renting houses on VRBO for mid-size gatherings for years and this is the best one I have found yet in the Pacific Northwest. Highly recommended.

Outstanding experience
The experience that we had (10 adults) at Olympic Foothills Lodge was nothing short of outstanding. The lodge checks the usual boxes (accurate online listing, well stocked, clean, etc.) -- but it doesn't stop there. Many of us had traveled extensively and stayed in a number of vacation rentals and we can comfortably say this was one of the most well appointed and thoughtfully designed rentals we've ever stayed at. Steve and his family, and their staff, have gone out of their way to make sure that instructions throughout the house are clear so that guests can take full advantage of all the lodge has to offer (such as the fire pit, kamado grill, chef's kitchen, hot tub, and sauna to name a few). In fact, I hesitate to write "too much" in this review as there are more than a few "gems" about this place that are perhaps best discovered without being forewarned.
All that said, this place is a treasure -- we could have stayed another week and still not gotten over the charm. The Olympic Foothills Lodge gets our highest recommendation, and we hope that other travelers will stay here and enjoy the lodge with the care it deserves, so it can be enjoyed for many generations to come.
