Our extended family had a lot of fun here!
A few things to note:
The pictures are pretty accurate. The upstairs bedrooms are more amply sized and have neater, more refined furnishings. The downstairs were smaller (most especially the double bed room) and simpler. Downstairs bathroom (not shown in pictures, you have to use the 3d tour) could really use a shelf or something to help hold things. It's a functional half bathroom but just not as nice as the upstairs ones. I wish the primary bedroom ensuite could be removed so as to provide easier shower access to the rest of the house, but obviously that's not possible :)
The circular staircase would have worried me more if our toddlers were younger, like new walkers/crawlers. My kid and her cousin are very steady on their feet now and somewhat decent at following directions (i.e. coming to ask a grownup if they want to take the "curly staircase").
We made some suggestions for additional furnishings/lamps for certain rooms, especially main living room to property management.
The pictures do not necessarily make this clear, but the dining table extends and the bench combined with dining chairs can easily sit 8.
About 15 minutes to downtown Port Angeles or Sequim. We liked being a little removed with the big yard for the kids to run around.

Our family of seven (5 adults) and 2 grandchildren loved this property. Very well equipped with beautiful grounds, nice views and wildlife.

Great place for a big group

We were on the Grand Road Trip 2024 with four grandchildren - two 10 year old boys and two twelve year old girls. We needed a place w a bedroom for the girls, a bedroom for the boys and a bedroom for Grandpa and Noni.
We felt at home immediately in this clean, bright and spacious home. Grounds are well maintained and suitable for a game of flag football.
I appreciated the long dining table - plenty big enough for the six of us. The kitchen is well equipped for anything one would want to prepare
The photos on the listing are good, but the reality is better!
Our excursions took us to Shi Shi Beach, Hurricane Ridge, Salt Creek recreation area and Fort Warden.
We highly recommend this place and would definitely return.

Private is an understatement. It is far back off the road and super quiet. We heard owls at night and the deer were just outside the window every day. The view of the mountains is perfect.

The location was beautiful. We saw deer everyday in the yard and even a coyote. The house is big for a family of eight. The only cons were the mattresses need updated and the upper living room couch otherwise it was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked and I loved that simple things like dishwasher packets and garbage bags were included. My only other suggestion would be adding a second outside garbage can. For a family of eight- one garbage can isn’t enough for a week and we had to leave the garbage outside by the garage and was worried about animals. We will definitely book the house again if we come this way! Loved the space and the area. On clear days the mountains are right outside the windows!

Location. Sharing meals together (8 adults). Hiked every day and saw mountains over breakfast table 5 of 7 days. Upstairs bathrooms comfortable and spacious. All beds but one of twins in basement comfortable. Quiet, spacious home.

Was in town for oir daughters wedding. Plenty of room. Nice quiet place. Loved it

Plenty of space for our family of 7. We spent our time at Olympic National Park and also visited the Dungeness Spit. For those cooking their own meals, there are plenty of dishes. Oil, salt and pepper, 2 coffee samples, tea bags and sweetner packets. I suggested that they leave instructions for the alarm. Deer in the yard on several occasions.

This property would work best for families with kids. the kitchen is well equipped. There aren't many bedside lights, so I suggest you bring something from home that works for you.

Very peaceful place to stay. Would stay here again. A few old pans for cooking and lack of oil for cooking. But Bath was great. Pretty clean when arrived.

This is the second trip we made to Port Angeles, WA and 2nd time we stayed at this house.
We would never consider staying anywhere else!
It is perfect!! The outside is in great shape. Love the deer strolling through the yard, the trees that add privacy, the large yard to play soccer, and there is that mountain out the living room large pane glass windows. Beautiful!!
The Inside is spacious. Never felt crowded although there was 6 adults and 2 children. We had 1 twin bed and two bunk beds that we never used. The kitchen is roomy and has many appliances.
We need to book our trip again!!!

We really liked the house itself, spacious and open plan. Quiet and lots of privacy. Well stocked kitchen. But the house is dusty, cob webs and beds are not made. Although the bathrooms are clean. It's just 45 min drive to lake crescent and Olympic national park. Very convenient.

Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely stay here again.
You’re surrounded by peaceful woods with deer and birds close by. Grounds are well kept with ample room to play. Beware of the holes. If you’re playing soccer or frisbee, invariably someone will fall in one of these and possibly sprain an ankle.
Home is so spacious. We’re are a family of four but easily A much larger group could stay. The home is so beautiful, we loved our stay! Be warned - don’t look underneath the beds, thick layer of dust and candy / sprinkles everywhere. So the dust levels really high and if you have seasonal allergies, expect to be popping a lot of antihistamines to survive the nights. There are ants roaming around as well but they didn’t seem to bother us too much.
Overall, wonderful stay!

Awesome location
The house is located in a great place. I travel a lot for work and this house is one the quietest places I've stayed in. Large space for all the family. Well stocked and very clean. The property is located close to Port Angeles and there is easy access to the Olympic mountains & parks. From the living room windows we watched deer and had a great view of the mountains (when the weather allowed). When I return to Port Angeles I will definitely see if the house is available.

This was a great property
Great property overall. We stayed December 22nd-31st. I gave it a 4 star review because there was 2 issues that made our 10 day stay a little challenging. 1st the night we arrived there was no hot water. My husband (who is an electrician which we didn’t tell the host because who wants to work on vacation) discovered an electrical issue with the hot water heater that was a fire hazard! The inside panel was scorched! He also found a screwdriver inside the panel. So it looks like This was a known problem that could’ve ended badly. It took 2 days to get hot water.
The second problem was the snow. It snows in Port Angeles about 1-2 days of winter. Well, we got dumped on on Christmas Eve! We were snowed in because one of our rental cars didn’t do very good in the snow. So we had to rely on my brother in laws 4x4 and our other 4 wheel drive rental vehicle. We had to contact the host to remove the snow. They didn’t even leave a shovel.
Overall the property was spacious and had a beautiful Mountain View. Our large family fit comfortably. I would rent this property again.

Really a great retreat
We gathered to attend a wedding in Sequim. The house was beautiful, clean and located in a beautiful, quiet wooded area. There were so many windows from which we watched deer walking through the property. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice (plus there is an extra half bath in the laundry area) check in and check out process was really easy. We all agreed that we wished we could have stayed longer at this wonderful property.

Property was clean, arrangements successful and location beautiful. A bit difficult to find--perhaps a bigger sign out front? A few bulbs needed replacing and upstairs master shower would go hot and cold depending on what was happening elsewhere. Other than those minor things, it was excellent!

family visit to meadow and mountain retreat
Our family of 6 visited this home in August 2021. We enjoyed our stay very much in this very quiet home in a remote location in Port Angeles. Very close to the Hurricane Ridge entrance to Olympic National Park. It had enough beds to accommodate our family and we did not experience any of the prior issues related to hot water mentioned in prior reviews. This is a home we would not hesitate to revisit in the future.

Great House With A Few Issues
We loved the location, house layout, games for the teens, clean beds and polished floors. We had plenty of hot water, no issues like others have mentioned, and were very thankful for the air conditioning. We disliked not receiving our entry code until the morning of the reservation as we were loaded and on our way and arriving at a house that was 85 degrees inside when we entered it. Biggest concerns though...while it was easy to contact the main Vacasa phone number prior to travel and while at the house, the promised phone calls on all three of our contacts while at the house never happened from the local team. Thankfully they were for minor things like the DVD/TV having no signal and no directions and needing help which meant we could never use it despite an hour of trying but the lack of response did not instill confidence that they would help us if we had a serious issue. Speaking of which, the deadbolt on the kitchen door (only external door on the upper level) did not turn when the latch was turned creating a fire hazard that needs to be addressed! We were also disappointed with dirty walls, dirty small appliances and dirty cooking dishes in the cupboards. While this was our favorite VRBO layout of a house so far for our large family, this was not our favorite VRBO due to the inability to reach the local team for help, the lack of cleanliness in the kitchen area and the hazard the faulty deadbolt created.

Relax and Explore
Great location to explore Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent and Rialto beach on the Olympic Peninsular. Lots of room in the house, plenty of hot water, well equiped kitchen. Great stay.

This was a great space for us and our extended family. Enough bedrooms and space to sprawl.

Basketball championship games were on TV but couldn’t get TV to work. Nothing to do for kids.
Outside deck was worn n yard was not taken care of. Beds uncomfortable. Towels/sheets were left in the dryer. Would not stay there again.

Beautiful time away from it all
We really liked the house and found the property management helpful. There was an issue with the hot water nearly every day but it was easy to fix.
Property is nice and feels like there are no neighbors.

Arrived just before 4pm for check-in and cleaning lady was still finishing up cleaning the house. Had to wait outside for 15-20 minutes for her to finish. She left trash by the garage along with her cleaning supplies, which remained there until sometime Sunday. Floor was dirty when we initially went into the house, dishes left in the dishwasher, steamer pot in the cupboard held used/murky water from previous use. Previous renters left ruts in the yard next to the driveway that we found when we arrived. No hot water Monday morning and we had to figure out how to reset the water heater in order to get some luke warm water before we left. There were plenty of beds for our group and plenty of towels for all. Kitchen was well stocked. Parking was adequate. Location was quiet and in close proximity to our event location. Was relatively easy to find. Grocery stores were just a short drive away.

Quiet retreat house
I took the weekend to get away and have some time for quiet reflection, and this house was perfect. Literally didn't see another soul except for the family of deer that came through the property. Amenities were good, everything was comfortable, and it was a great stay overall. Highly recommended!

Lots of open space
Our family of five enjoyed our weekend getaway. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and still be able to come together in big open areas. E enjoyed running around the yard and playing in the recently fallen snow. We weren’t able to go hiking or to any nearby trails, as the snow was actively falling heavily. There was a Safeway close that we were able to do grocery shopping at to stock the house and cook everything right there.

A much needed break!
This house was perfect for a much needed break from being in our own home! So much room to relax and play in, fun for all of my kiddos! Nicely situated for visits to Hurricane Ridge and Dungeness Spit!
