Just AMAZING. The location, the stylish and classy room, the breakfast, the communication, the details, the quality of every single element of the room… everything was outstanding. Since you step in the room and smell the elegant fragance you feel super comfortable. The communication with and Andrea the owner who had some nice details with us was easy and friendly. This place is a 10

Clean and modern. Garden courtyard to eat one’s breakfast. Location with lovely views over historic buildings including a church. Coffee machine in the room.

Liked everything.

Private room on the top floor, modern and clean, with a private bath and nice decor. Coffee machine and electric kettle provided in the room along with pods, teabags, and cream (always a plus when you're backpacking and cannot carry all you want). Blinds allowed for a great night sleep, so did the comfy bed and the air conditioner. There was even a TV which allowed us to catch an international track and field meet, and fall asleep on it. Breakfast was well organized; it did not include meat or eggs but had an assortment of bread, cheeses, and yogurts, along with orange juice. A nice yard with tables and chairs provided a green, intimate space to lounge, right inside of the walled city.

Breakfast was simple but good. Location was fantastic with about a dozen restaurants literally steps away from this property. Wonderful htstss who was overly helpful

Loved our stay at this lovely historic building that has been renovated beautifully, owned & run by the friendly & very helpful Andrea who felt like a friend by the time we checked out. Breakfast was ready for us every morning (excellent quality) in the dining room/kitchen which was equipped with everything you could need. There is a coffee machine & a kettle in the room as well as in the dining room which made us very happy. We stayed in the loft which is a wonderful room with views of a little church & the lake, this room also gave us access to the balcony which was a great place to sit & watch people wandering through the old town. It is situated right in the medieval old town of Murten, a beautiful & interesting town in it's own right but also an excellent base for exploring the Western side of Switzerland, train station is just a short walk away. Staying here at Zimmerei was one of the best choices we made on our trip to Switzerland, we stayed here 10 nights & could easily have stayed longer as we felt very comfortable & right at home.

Nothing we did not like!

Stylish, comfortable, clean, spacious, quiet. One of the best places I've ever stayed. Loved the open shower and the feeling of being under the roof. Delicious breakfast and great location in the heart of Murten. Great value for the price. Totally recommended, especially for a romantic getaway ;)

This was a charming bed and breakfast style hotel in Murten that my wife and I enjoyed thoroughly. We were looking for total relaxation and this place helped considerably with that because of its cozy atmosphere

we were in the loft apartment and the ceiling was a bit low in spots. On one hand that added to the charm, on the other we had to watch our heads

A cosy place in the old town of Murten where gives you feeling of being in a home and not a hotel. The decoration is selected with much attention to the details. The hostess, Andrea, provided us with an extra bed and breakfast for our child without any extra charges. We will definitely come back to Zimmerei for our future stays in Murten.

Not that we didn't like it, but a shower curtain would be a nice to have if you don't want to shower naked in front of your kids :).

Charming and well organized, the studio has eveything you need for a perfect stay. And Andrea is such a nice person.

This place was spectacular! So clean it smelled new, beautifully appointed with a designer's attention to detail, spacious, comfortable, generous with its amenities, good wifi, a welcoming, fuss-free check-in and check-out procedure, delicious self-serve bircher muesli and croissants for breakfast outside on the balcony (or in the garden), regular church bells, a spectacular location in the heart of a beautiful town (and its many shops/restaurants), easy parking nearby... I'm running out of superlatives. Andrea called to touch base the day of our arrival and got us set up to check in remotely (including park the car off-site). Her instructions were spot-on and we had no access issues at all (at 11PM). The key awaited us in the room, along with a free parking pass. The next morning we met her to check out, and she could not have been more delightful. As for the decor, we rarely photograph our hotel rooms, but this one was so gorgeous, and so successfully reimagined what is possible for a hotel room, that we recorded every detail.

The glass shower cube rules out any semblance of privacy, so make sure you are comfortable with your traveling companion(s)! The loft room is up two flights of stairs (a haul if you have luggage). Our chip-bearing US credit cards were (still!!) not compatible with the payment apparatus/system this hotel uses. This is frustrating, but not Zimmerei's fault.
