A propos de ce maisonrental
Swim, Kayak, lawn games. Walk to ice cream. Live Theatre , firepit smores!

What a lovely home! Old Maine charm, with modern luxury, and steps to Crystal Lake! Our family enjoyed every moment of our stay. Coffee on the screened porch in the morning, big breakfasts and dinners prepared in a fantastic kitchen with open dining and space for everyone to gather together. We loved the spaces created for the children, plenty of books and games to play in the evening. This was the best stocked home of any we have rented! We are so grateful! We would love to stay again.

We booked this house for our wedding party to stay in and it was perfect. So many bedrooms so no one had to share a room, great spaces to hang out in and chat. Short walk to the beach and downtown. Barbara is very responsive and a great host. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful home and great location by the lakes.

Fantastic house- had everything we needed and more. Property owner was very responsive- we noticed a couple wasp nests on the house and she had someone over spraying the nests immediately. Easy two minute walk to the lake and playground- fantastic for the kids- and a nice large yard to play in.

2nd time staying at 64 Main & we are always excited for our stay. The house is amazing, Barb has thought of everything that we would need for a stay. The home has such a warm and charming feel. The location is amazing for fun activities. If I had to pick 1 of my favorite rooms (which is very difficult to do), I would say it’s the side porch. Having my morning coffee and watching my kids work on a puzzle together is awesome. Never once did our 3 kids say, “I’m bored!”. Thanks again Barb, looking forward to next summer at 64 Main.

Our family group of 10 (18 months--73 years old) had a wonderful week in this spacious, beautifully appointed home with its modern conveniences mixed with traditional charm. Communication with the property owners was easy and prompt. They were so considerate, even writing to make sure we knew about a new pub in town and a town fair, which turned out to be a hit with the children. We were greeted with lovely fresh flowers and a box of donuts. The proximity to the playground and sandy beach was terrific. The big lawn around the house was perfect for outdoor games. Listing photos of the interior don't show how attractive and pleasing the house is.

A stay at this spacious, historic home with a large, well maintained yard and within walking distance to a lake and small town amenities is quintessential Maine. Our family of 7 adults and 3 children thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Harrison. We took advantage of the great weather and swam in Crystal Lake daily, walked to get ice cream, played lawn games, toasted marshmallows and sat by the fire pit. Breakfast and lunch on the screened in porch was delightful. Once the kids were in bed, the adults enjoyed sitting around the dining table playing more games and chatting late into the night. A perfect Maine vacation!
The house is very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and is decorated beautifully with interesting pieces pertaining to Harrison and Maine in general. Browsing through the library of books and board games was a pleasure.
Barbara is an excellent host and the best communicator we have dealt with when renting vacation homes, always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. I would return to 64 Main and recommend it highly to anyone who would like to experience the way life should be!

Three generations of my family returned for a second summertime stay, and had another wonderful time. The walkability to the playground and lake are wonderful, the house is very comfortable and spacious, there is a great backyard for more outdoor play options, and Barbara is very communicative. Everyone in our group was able to spend all the time we wanted together, but there is also enough space to allow for individuals to have time to themselves when they needed this too--which was helpful for the neurodiverse member of our group and anyone who needed a nap. We enjoyed being able to walk to ice cream, and the local Pinehaven trail and obstacle course, as well as a visit to Portland within a reasonable driving distance. We visited the lake and playground every day, and loved them every time. Thank you for another great family trip!

This house was perfect for our stay this June. We had 11 people and there was plenty of room for all of us. The property is very clean and well maintained and everything we needed was there for us. Barbara was an Excellent host even recommending some local restaurants and sights to see. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

Our large, geographically scattered family all gathered in late February to attend the memorial service of a much-loved uncle/brother-in-law. It was a very bittersweet time. 64 Main welcomed us with open arms, wrapped us in a giant hug and gave us a soothing place to heal. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The house has been solidly renovated and beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you could need -- but still feels like a home that's been in your family forever. It handles very large groups with ease. Barbara and Ron are thoughtful hosts. We arrived to find not only a huge box of fabulous breakfast pastries and a lovely note, but vases full of tulips everywhere we turned! The house and the hosts exceeded every expectation and then some. We'll be forever grateful. Thank you for everything!

We had the most lovely stay in Harrison at Barbara’s home! The pictures don’t do it justice— the home is beautifully decorated, extremely well-equipped, and wonderful for a big group gathering. Many happy memories were made here this weekend and we would recommend this property to anyone.

Barbara’s property was PERFECT for our family trip! It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and so cozy! We were a group of 12 and had plenty of room. Barbara had the house stocked with EVERYTHING you could have needed. She was also great to communicate with and happy to answer any questions I had about the property and the surrounding area.
I highly recommend this to any family or group looking to visit the area! North Conway and Portland are both a short drive away, with many more local attractions as well.

We had 4 generations staying together in this wonderful house! Everything was clean and the beds were so comfortable. I loved that Barbara had everything about the house listed in a binder. Anytime I had questions, she was very quick to respond. The location was perfect for taking the small children in our group to the lake, playground or even to the Harrison general store. We used the wagon that was provided with the house. This was a perfect choice for our family!

We stayed for the second time in august and it was just as nice as we remembered. The park and beach are perfect for our 2 and 4 year old and there are plenty of bedrooms for our large family to stay. You can walk to 2 general stores, a restaurant, ice cream and a marina if you’re renting a boat.

Barbara’s house was wonderful. The kitchen and bedrooms were by far the nicest I’ve ever experienced in a vacation rental. I think I’ll be dreaming about that bed for months to come! We had an 18-month-old and a 3.5-year-old with us, and they appreciated the proximity to a playground. We all loved being able to walk to the lake from the house. The house was on a somewhat busy road, which was honestly a highlight for our toddler who loved watching the trucks drive by. While there was definitely traffic noise, whe didn’t find it disruptive to enjoying our trip. Thank you for a lovely vacation!

This house was wonderful. Large, spacious, well laid out and well stocked, including all linens. Great house for our family of 10.
Large open kitchen where we spent a lot of time cooking, and gathering. Great outdoor space including picnic table where we ate most meals, and fire pit where we spent late nights looking at the stars. Screened porch and beautiful outside deck were also great. Location couldn't be better, only a short walk to the beach at Crystal Lake. Also rented a pontoon boat on Long lake for a fabulous day of boating, skiing, etc. Enjoyed dinner at and from the Tie Up. We thoroughly enjoyed our week, and Barbara was welcoming and responsive when we needed her. Would highly recommend!

House was great. Room enough for all and access to nearby lake and beach were perfect. We loved walking down for ice cream and visiting the local store. Beds were comfy and big enough for our large group. Good selection of kitchen equipment for cooking meals. Large yard worked well for kids playing after dinner.

Barbara put a lot of thought and love into this home. It is incredibly laid out, with more beautiful rooms than you thought. We all spent most of the time in the kitchen or the three season room.
There is a nice lake , easy to get to. The yard was huge. Some of the family are musicians and played around the fire pit. Also there is a really fun restaurant within walking distance. This is a gem with more surprises than you can imagine. Barbara is a wonderful thoughtful host. Will be back! Book this while you can!!!

Terrific Family Getaway!
I visited in the summer with three generations and two households of family ages 3 to 68. The house is beautiful, immaculate, and filled with family-friendly things to do. The location is as perfect as the listing says--they're not immediately visible from the house, but a terrific playground and swimming access are about a 5 minute walk across the back yard and to your right as you face the lake. This was ideal for us, as we would have been a little nervous about being too close to open water with independent small children, but it was still in such easy reach we could walk there multiple times a day. The beach wagon provided made this even easier. Basic grocery supplies and waterfront ice cream are also a short walk down the road, and Hannaford's 10 minutes away had everything else we needed. Barbara was also very easy to communicate with about a delay in our check in, and offered great suggestions for kid-friendly activities nearby. The Pinehaven Trail about a 10 minute drive away had a fantastic obstacle course that was a huge hit. We all enjoyed the stay, but the kids especially LOVED the house and the top floor. They were immediately asking to go back, and we're looking forward to returning next summer!

Incredible Stay
We came to Maine for a wedding but wished we had a longer stay.
The house is spacious to say the least.
We immediately felt at home in this perfectly kept home with all the necessities plus some!
We only stayed the weekend but immediately regretted that we didn’t have more time!
If we ever visit this area again, no search would be necessary for it will be here again!

Our friends from college have been getting together on a yearly basis for 30+ years. (There are 12 people in all) We all thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful, well-equipped and comfortable home. Two of the bathrooms had us all laughing, as they are huge!
It was easy to communicate with Barbara, the property's host. She responded to questions before, after and during our stay. We had an issue when we got to the property (the lights didn't work on the third floor), which was addressed and resolved right away.
I would highly recommend this VRBO!

Warm and Cozy
Memories made! Four generations, from 2 months to 82 years old, enjoyed our family Girls’ Weekend at 64 Main. Old home charm with morden day amenities. We were all warm and cozy during our winter weekend, and everyone loved their stay. Appreciated the welcome note and treat. Plenty of movies and games on-site. Beds were super comfy. Lots of laughter happened in the kitchen/dining space where we found we spent a lot of our time rocking, reading, eating, and playing games. Would definitely recommend this home. Thank you, Barbara, for providing such an enjoyable experience.
