Most things were really good, a great number of cooking facilities, comfortable rooms, large hangout spaces

Our only issue was having one singular shower between the private rooms which could get a bit hectic!

The kitchen wasn’t always clean, the only toilets was the one en-suite to a 10 bed room unless reception was open but then had to head out down to there. Caused a bit of chaos in mornings and evenings

Brilliant location in Byron Bay, basically in the heart of the town and minutes away from all the bars, cafes and restaurants. Also not far from the lighthouse walk, and a five minute stroll to the beach. The ten bed dorms are a really good size, as are the bathroom areas, with good showers. The hostel is clean, with good facilities and lots of to do (pool, table tennis, swimming, etc). There is a kitchen and luggage room, although I didn't use these. Towels can be hired for a small deposit. The Rocks next door is also a nice cafe/bar, offering decent breakfast and evening meals.

The bathrooms could be a little cleaner, although that largely depends on your roommates rather than being a fault of the hostel's. There are no privacy curtains on the bed, and the lockers aren't big enough to hold a bag, only personal items.

Big rooms, avtivities and pool

Although more of a party hostel (I don't know that anything else exists in Australia), they do keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and I didn't have a problem to sleep. The room was quite clean and I found the beds quite comfortable. Outlets near every bed and lockers inside the rooms for convenience, and I was grateful for the present yet not freezing A/C on at night. It was a cute hotel, with lots of places to hang out and a nice bar. Plus, some free activities (I was grateful for free Friday morning yoga). I would def recommend for price/quality.

There could have been a bit more space in the rooms, and one bathroom for 10 people isn't enough (it was nice to have a bathroom in the room, but I did need to make use of the bathroom down the hall and at reception a few times). The kitchen wasn't as clean as it could have been--and that's probably on other guests but also on management.

It was in a good location. The dorms were spacious. Nice balcony. Strong air con.

We booked all 8 beds in an 8 bed dorm. When we got to the room, we soon found out that there was a semi private room attached to ours that could only be accessed by going through our room. The dorm is advertised as having a private bathroom which is untrue as you have to share with the semi private room. The fact you have to share should be clearly mentioned when booking because we 100% would not have booked it if we knew. When I spoke to the receptionist, she showed no understanding to our frustration and told us it was 'tricky' because we had booked through booking.com and not directly on the site. The staff came in for 'house keeping' while we were still asleep [we were sleeping later than usual] but they had their speaker blaring music and propped it up against our door and left for 5 minutes. The rooms are extremely bright.

Great location in the heart of Byron Bay, the hostel has good facilities. The room is exactly as described, a private room off the dorm room which you access by walking through the dorm.

The shared bathroom is shared between 10 people if the dorm is full, so there was a bit of a wait to use the bathroom in the morning. I think there are more showers somewhere else if you are in a rush.
