It was a great magical place akin to a farm stay. Clean air and a beautiful setting to eat either inside or on the porch.

This spacious home is in a lovely location, set amid farms in the mountains. It is close to the main town of Assomada as well as picturesque Sao Jorge dos Orgaos, plus less than an hour from Praia airport. It’s an Ideal location for exploring the eastern and northern coasts including Tarrafal, as well as driving and hiking the mountains. The home features a spacious and well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds in both bedrooms, good airflow to cool things down, plus a fan to use. There are also a nice sofa and comfortable chairs in the main room, along with a large dining table and desk. The bathrooms are huge, with nice towels. It is great to have the caretaker next door in case of any issues or needs. She does laundry as needed and can cook meals as well. We especially enjoyed the garden, with herbs and greens to use, and very pleasant terrace to spend a lazy time outside in the afternoon. The hosts have prepared a very complete guide to drives, hikes, and attractions in the area. We really appreciated their excellent recommendations. More importantly, they respond incredibly well and promptly to questions or needs.

The house is set amid farms so the evenings and night are very quiet, but morning noises can start early. After a few nights, we hardly noticed these anymore. If you drive yourself here, the road to the house from the highway can seem a challenge at first. It’s a steep cobbled lane along the hillside plus a short dirt road. However, after we did it once, we weren’t bothered at all – and it only takes about 10 minutes.

It was a very nice stay. It's gut organised and you get a lot of Information. The owner is not there. But Lina the Housekeeper is very Nice. It's in the middle of nowhere and this is very nice. I think you can also reach it without an own car.
