Great friendly welcome. Was given an upgrade as rooms were being renovated. Great location and value for money . Will definitely return .
Being staying for business wi was an issue and not strong enough. Although I could ask for things at reception and not major but more selection of refreshments in the room , decaff, hot chocolate etc. Have hairdryer available in room .

Excellent lovely place. Very welcoming and clean. Plenty of good parking lit up at night. Room 10 was very clean, large as it was a connecting room from a double bedroom to a two single bed room making it a family room. Both rooms had good TV's. Excellent stay, good price, good night's sleep...Tea/coffee etc provided and they didn't hold back on quantity. Very quiet rooms, dark with the curtains shut so sleeping was great especially in the comfy bed.
Coffee at breakfast was £3.50 - a walk to our room and it was free.
Evening meal I felt a little pricey, didn't eat there in the evening so cannot comment on quality but plenty of people did. It was myself and my young son so he would ofcourse wanted desert too! Weekdays breakfast finishes at 9:30 so on day two we would have been right on the time so we ate at Oscar's literally across the road, excellent breakfast there (although crossing the busy road took a few minutes). What I can say is that nothing was too much trouble for the hotel, very accommodating on time and requests. It was a cheapy cheeky weekend break for us so I didn't want it to cost the earth. We'll certainly be back!

The room and the bathroom was in need of a overhaul.
In our twin bedroom only one bedside lamp
The wash hand basin was fitted the wrong way round and the taps were loose.

It was the only hotel available closest to us during a long journey home. Front of house staff were very friendly.
The only room left was for dog owners. You could smell the room before you got to it unfortunately. Was also damp and full of mosquitoes as all the windows were open obviously trying to air out the overpowering smell of dog

My daughter and her friends stayed here as a stop over whilst travelling. They described it as a cute hotel with lovely staff.

The host was friendly and professional, parking was great, location was ok
The room while I expected it to be basic, had issues with the TV not working, the bathroom taps were loose but working, toilet was wedge in next to the shower so it was difficult to use if you needed to sit down. The bed was a small single. The WiFi was free but useless being in room 19 as it was probably too far from the router.

Friendly staff.
Exterior of the building very tired on arrival. Corridor and room smelled fusty. Bathroom very tired, stained bath, mouldy grout, damaged lino flooring. Didn't open the bedroom window due to the number of cobwebs covering the outside. Bedroom decor and furniture very tired, however bedding and pillowcases very clean and fresh. Food not on offer during the first night. 330 ml bottles of lager were £5 each!

The location was perfect for our needs. The staff were very friendly.
Would of liked hot chocolate sachets in the room not just tea & coffee, I only drink hot chocolate.

The breakfast was very good and cooked fresh to order and they cooked some extra bacon for my dog.
There was nothing we didn't like

views of the lambs , friendly reception when arriving , very easy to find
unfortunately the mattress wasn’t to our liking and there was a constant humming noise which I’m guessing was from downstairs which kept us awake as I’m a light sleeper.

Location, building, friendly receptionist
Dated furniture, room not furnished with slippers, carpet looked not very clean nor the bathroom floor tiles. Very cheap shower curtain that fell down, and had to ask reception to bring shampoo and shower gel (she couldn't find shampoo).
Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

The owner went out of his way to rustle up a very delicious meal despite the kitchen being closed due to a private function. He saw how tired and hungry my daughter and I were and was an incredibly kind host.

The staff at this hotel were an absolute joy and truly made our stay one to remember. Kelly at reception was so welcoming and warm, and we had a great time exchanging gifts with our family in front of the cozy fireplace. Even some of the other staff members joined in and pulled crackers with us, adding to the festive atmosphere. The location of the hotel was incredibly convenient, with a carvery restaurant nearby where we had a delicious Christmas dinner, opposite there was Ollies Cafe offering a delicious lunch, and a garden centre with a beautiful Christmas tree that my mum really enjoyed.
Despite the front door being somewhat difficult to open independently, the hotel's accommodations for those in wheelchairs were more than satisfactory.
The hotel had a quirky design with many sheep-themed decorations and was a truly unique place that I would highly recommend.

Nice views and friendly staff
No food options as no meals being done there

Convenient location, full of character, very clean. Staff were pleasant. can’t comment on the restaurant as it was closed (Christmas time). Family room excellent had expected 2 extra beds in the room but it was actually 2 interconnecting rooms.
No little extras such as water or toiletries in the room, would a usually get this in a hotel if this standard.
Bar prices very really expensive, shame as we would have spent a lot more time in their.
Unfortunately the double bed in the family room was very hard and not comfortable(the twins and the other double room were lovely though)

We stopped at the Grange Hotel as a stop over on the way to Cornwall to break up the journey with our 18month old daughter. We arrived at approx 9.30pm and the woman on reception was very helpful, helped us to the room with the bags. When we went to check out the following morning, unfortunately we had a flat tyre. We had to wait for the AA to arrive and then my husband had to take the car for a tyre repair. The hotel gave me and my daughter a room to camp out in and made us some toast - both of which they didn't charge us for. We couldn't have been more grateful. Everyone was so helpful and made a nightmare situation much, much easier. We didn't spend any time in the area but I'd certainly stay again if we wanted to explore that area.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere which for most, with a car, wouldn't be an issue. But it did mean, with a flat tyre, we had no means of getting to a shop for supplies etc as there was nowhere in walking distance.

location was lovely and close to where we need to visit.
the room was very small, it was difficult to shower as the shower space was so compact (I’m small) the bed was uncomfortable. Our room was near a fan/boiler or some sort which come going on/off all night. There were cobwebs above the bed.
