Dovetails a deux suites parentales aux extrémités opposées de la maison avec cuisine, salon, foyer au bois, médias et salle à manger au centre. Dovetails est à distance de marche, à vélo du Flat Rock Playhouse, de Rainbow Row, du lieu historique national de Carl Sandburg et plus encore! Il est également à 15 minutes de la forêt nationale de Dupont, à 32 km de la forêt nationale de Pisgah et à quelques minutes des camps du WNC dans la région. Il y a de la randonnée, du vélo à proximité. Les brasseries locales, y compris la Sierra Nevada, sont toutes à une courte distance en voiture et les stations de ski sont à 45-60 minutes. We have been visiting the Flat Rock/Hendersonville area for 30+ years and have stayed in many, many places but this was absolutely one of the best! The "cabin" is so much more than that. Perfectly laid out for 2 adult couples with 2 primary suites and attached bathrooms for total privacy. The woodsy setting, rustic furnishings and great deck make you feel you are tucked away in the woods but only short drives to terrific restaurants, the Flat Rock Playhouse, cute shops, walking trails and more. Our 2 week stay could not have been better. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the owners are unbelievably responsive and truly committed to making sure our needs were met and that our stay was better than expected. We love that they are lovers of dogs and made our Sadie and Cooper so welcomed. We will stay again if we return with friends.

We enjoyed our stay at Dovetails, and highly recommend it to others as a clean, comfortable cabin in a quaint little mountain town. Its location is wonderful, as you are a short 3 minute drive to the Village of Flat Rock, and also very convenient to Hendersonville & Pisgah Forest, for hiking, tubing, waterfall explorations, and orchards galore! We loved being so close to everything. The hosts are kind and attentive, and you can tell they truly care about their guests and the property. Our experience felt warm & personal, and not corporate like some rentals can be. Flat Rock Village is adorable, the ambiance is beautiful, and the restaurants are all delicious! Our only minor disappointment was that we were under the impression that the cabin is “connected” to walking trails to town. It should be noted that the start of the trail is actually at the end of the road behind an apartment complex, and not actually on the property. It was a bit more of a walk than anticipated, so we opted to drive to town instead (mostly because of the rain). Not a big deal, but thought it should be noted. This cabin made it so easy to relax with our family for a peaceful vacation. It rained pretty much the entire 5 nights of our trip, and we still enjoyed our stay so much. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area!

We had an awesome weekend at Dovetails. It was our 39th anniversary and we couldn’t have had a better place to celebrate. A beautiful log home that is private and quiet yet very convenient to the area attractions. We look forward to returning soon!

This property was amazing and we will definitely be back! The location was wonderful. The property was clean and thoughtfully set up with all the extras. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels. Hairdryers in the bathrooms. Firewood stocked for the beautiful fire pit. Extra pet bowls for the dogs. My daughters (age 11 and 15) loved the screened in porch with string lights. We played card games and board games stocked in the living room (Man Bites Dog was such a hit we had to order one for our house!). We enjoyed the coffee table books (photo book with the dog photos was especially loved!). Very comfortable with easy access to everything. We walked into town through the trails to get breakfast. Can’t say anything negative. We will definitely rent again!

This home is ideal with all the amenities anyone could want.The home is settled among the trees and the privacy is wonderful eventhough it is in a conveniently located neighborhood. The unique architectural features throughout the home and the large fireplace are very cozy . It is convenient to the Flat Rock Playhouse which is a must do along with a visit to Carl Sandburg's home. I highly recommend this home

Dovetails is a wonderful log home in a Flat Rock neighborhood. We enjoyed the easy access to all area points of interests, restaurants, and entertainment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. It is so quiet and peaceful that you feel far away from everything yet it is within 5 minutes of restaurants, shops and parks. It was very clean and our bed was super comfortable. We loved hanging out on the porches and listening to the sounds of nature. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful log construction, well appointed, home with great open decks and screened porches. Beautiful sitting room with vaulted ceiling. Close to provisioning points, Hendersonville, wineries, everything you want. Great host.
Because of the backyard drop off, you're looking into the trees and birds, like a treehouse. Luxurious one.

Wonderful Cabin getaway
Property is amazing! Split floor plan with main living area between the two bedrooms. Rear deck is large and inviting. Wrap around front porch to both bedrooms with their own comfortable chairs to enjoy either early morning coffe or a glass of wine sunset.

Beautiful location surrounded by trees yet close to everything.
Very pretty / comfortable rustic. Lots of wood paneling and high ceilings. Wraparound decking. Fire pit looked great but weather prevented use!
Dovetails is perfect for 2 couples or a family.
Little too big for a single couple.
Hosts very helpful and checked in with us. Definitely a great place to stay in Flat Rock and so close to the most beautiful huge park for walking, and just enjoying.

Rustic Luxury - 5 Stars
Dovetails is a beautiful place. The craftsmanship that went into the home gives it a feeling of rustic luxury. It is also beautifully decorated and landscaped. I particularly love the layout of two master suites on each side, very well appointed. Everything is well maintained and very clean. The hosts were top notch in their communication, and they added special touches making us feel like welcomed and valued guests. Highly recommend!

relaxing time on the back deck
We really enjoyed staying at Dovetails. Personally I love how the owners blended modern with antique, especially the piece of furniture between the kitchen and den. However, with a beautiful sunny day, my favorite place was the back deck. We had few questions and when we did, Margaret Ann was very responsive. My only regrets: I wish could have stayed longer and I forgot to sign the guest book :-(

Charming Cabin

We had a lovely time. All the details in this home have been thought out from the comfy beds to the fresh towels. The layout of the home is fantastic and the area is peaceful and quiet. The managers were also extremely pleasant and easy to deal with. We will be back.

Amazing Cabin in the North Carolina Mountains
Absolutely loved our stay at Dovetails. This is an amazing cabin in a great location. Margaret Ann was so gracious to pick up a flower arrangement I ordered and have it waiting in the cabin before our arrival for my wife's birthday.
Everything was perfect, well stocked, comfortable and cozy. Loved the wood burning fires, both in the fireplace as well as the outdoor firepit. Teddy, our Goldendoodle also enjoyed the decks where he could hang out and watch for squirrels.
Had a hard time leaving it's such a great place. Definitely want to return for another stay someday soon.

A PERFECT getaway.
So much so, we are moving closer to the mountains by summer 2021.
My family and I all enjoyed our stay! Beautifully maintained, extremely clean, and picturesque - the cabin exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed eating outside on the deck and sitting by the fire pit. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. It's conveniently located within walking distance/very short drive to restaurants in Flat Rock and downtown Hendersonville. Zero complaints/issues. Thank you!!
