Charming Original Stone Cottage Close To Beaches and Countryside
Cottage en pierre d'époque de haute qualité dans le centre d'Alnwick, parfait pour les couples et les petites familles. Le chalet dispose d'un charmant jardin patio qui s'appuie sur les murs d'origine de la ville. Nous mettons tout en œuvre pour que vous profitiez d'un séjour confortable et relaxant. Puddleduck chalet a toutes les commodités locales à proximité. Il s'agit notamment de l'Alnwick Playhouse. Le célèbre Barter Books, (l'une des plus grandes librairies d'occasion du pays, située dans la fascinante ancienne gare) est à seulement quelques minutes à pied et est idéal pour passer quelques heures à lire et à déguster une tasse de thé et des gâteaux autour un feu ouvert. Le chalet est situé entre la côte du patrimoine et les collines de Cheviot. Le château et les jardins d'Alnwick sont à quelques minutes à pied. Le restaurant Tree House à Alnwick Gardens est fortement recommandé (il faut réserver pour le soir). Une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite est incluse. Animaux non acceptés. Beautiful cottage and so handy for town centre. Tried most of pubs, warm welcome everywhere. Lots of homely touches to make it special, pictures, ducks, cosy throws, comfy bed. Even in early March, ok now and again to sit in outside courtyard area, well looked after property. Loved our 3 days, will come back soon. Xxx

The cottage is lovely. It was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. There was a generosity about the place - from the welcome basket to the basics left in the kitchen (tea, coffee, salt and pepper, washing up liquid etc). It is a few minutes from everything - playhouse, castle and gardens, restaurants. Best restaurant for us was Lilburns in Alnwick- book as soon as you can.

We really liked the cottage and the way we could just walk into town. It was a perfect spot for access to the wedding we attended in Alnwick Gardens. We found the beds comfortable and the house was spotless. We would love to return again one day.

Good location in the centre of Alnwick, however quite noisy as all the buses and trucks avoiding the narrow archway down the road come past. Street parking fine just up the road by the Tanner's Arms.

Very well equipped little cottage.
Fantastic location, just a short walk away from:
- Alnwick's main attractions, including Alnwick Castle and Barter Books
- Swansfield playground
- various supermarkets, including Lidl
- the bus stop (we caught a bus to Alnmouth - only a 10 minute ride away)
- long stay car parks (although be warned that these get busy, but we found unrestricted parking on nearby Lisburn Street)
All in all, a fabulous stay!

Great location in Alnwick
We were delighted with our choice of property. It was full of character, clean, comfortable and had a well kitted out kitchen. The patio area is very private and we ate a few breakfasts outside. Car parking was very easy as we managed to park for free in the street opposite most of the time. There is also a free public car park just around the corner. The location of the cottage is perfect with the Market Square, foodie pubs, Alnwick Castle, The Alnwick Garden and the Playhouse just a quick walk away. Alnwick itself is well situated for quick access to both the coastal towns and the National Park. We had a great stay and highly recommend.

The property had all you could reasonably want for a short stay in Alnwick. It is exactly as described online- close to all amenities in the town and a 10 minute drive from several wonderful Northumberland beaches.

On the Friday we had no power due to the storm however the cottage had everything we needed to get through the night.

Amazing property
We’ve loved our stay at the Puddleduck Cottage. The cottage is ideally located 5min walk from the city centre, Alnwick gardens, Barter books and convenience stores. It is within easy commute to wonderful places waiting to be discovered. The cottage is truly beautiful and well furnished with a lovely outdoor space. It is suitable for couples or small families. We highly recommend it!

Cosy property in an excellent location
We loved staying at Puddleduck Cottage. It was our first time in this part of the country and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The cottage was surprisingly close to town and with the window open, a little noisy from the passing traffic. However, with the window closed it wasn't a problem. We felt very comfortable in the cottage and parking wasn't a problem. We loved sitting in the outdoor space in the sunshine. We hope to visit again in the future.

The cosiest cottage we couldn’t leave....
This gorgeous cottage provided shelter from Storm Dennis on a windy long weekend in Northumbria. It had everything we needed - so much so that we couldn’t tear ourselves away from the log burner to eat out in the evenings (fantastic lunches were had at The Ship Inn at Newton and The Jolly Fisherman in Craster instead!). Brilliant location in centre of Alnwick for a wander around the shops, tearooms and pubs! Puddleduck Cottage provided a much needed short break - have returned much refreshed!

Winter break
We had a lovely time, getting out for walks on the coast and up Simonsides. There were good maps and walk guides and clear information about the electronic gadgets in the house and the local facilities. Our holidays are never complete without a trio to a second hand bookshop, Barter books was less than 10 mins walk away. Lovely holiday, thank you

Puddleduck Cottage was clean, comfortable and welcoming, with everything we needed for our week in Alnwick. Close to shops, bars and restaurants with free long stay parking nearby. Just a few minutes walk from Alnwick Castle and gardens. Easy to get onto routes to the coast and National Park. Ideal for our first trip to Northumberland.

Puddleduck Cottage is a small but perfectly formed and comfortable home from home. It has everything needed for a pleasant stay and free long stay parking is near enough not to be a nuisance in day to day proceedings.
