Cute and clean apartment was perfect for a night away for a wedding in downtown Ojai. The apartment was about a 15-20 minute Uber into town, on a quiet street. Bed was comfortable and there was a full kitchen, and coffee maker for the morning. We weren't there much, but it was clean and Eva's instructions for getting there and checking in were super straightforward.

Web searches confusingly reveal 4 rental options listed as “Eva’s Place”. Likely, all refer to just two actual options: the Sleep 5 home share and the Sleep 4 private apartment. Be sure to note which you are seeking as pictures are quite different for each option. We arrived at the single family home after dark on a rainy evening. The directions were very good. We had no difficulty finding the private apartment. The lighting was adequate, however because it had rained heavily all day, the walkway leading to the private patio and entrance was flooded. Unfortunately pictures could not predict the lack of personal comfort we experienced with the futon/couch and kitchen chairs; similarly the too-soft mattress provided marginal comfort for our needs. A corner-mounted micro TV in the bedroom was capable only of wi-fi streaming using your personal accounts (of which we have none) or “free” movies punctuated by 7 consecutive commercials about every 10 minutes. There was no independent room temperature control available to the guests, however there was a portable space heater available. Absent from the kitchenette was a garbage disposal and a dishwasher. Some cups were stained from coffee. The refrigerator with a freezer was welcome as we came with multiple blue-ice packs for our ice chests. On occasion we were aware of but not bothered by other occupants in the residence. This VRBO met our basic needs yet our experience failed to make a positive impact.

My husband and I stayed for 5 weeks at this suite. The bed was comfortable but we supplied our own bedding - our choice. The kitchen was handy for breakfast and light lunch but we found the toaster, pots, cutlery and kitchen linens ready for replacement. The small patio was unusable because of the rain and resulting mildew, though the neighborhood was quiet and we appreciated being able to have our dog with us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Met our needs. We should have checked to make sure there was a full kitchen & oven for our needs. The place does not have a cook top & oven. Heaters were provided for cold weather. Overall a good experience.

The apartment was comfortable and easy to access with a private entrance. It was an affordable alternative centrally located in pricey Ojai. The host communicated clearly and kindly but gave me total privacy. Would definitely stay there again.

My mom and I stayed here for two nights in August 2022. As all the decent accommodation in Ventura was a bit out budget, Eva’s Place Too proved to be just the fit for a day trip to Santa Cruz Island (with a ferry leaving from Ventura). It was restful, in a quiet neighborhood, and had everything we needed for the stay. Eva even made up the futon ahead of my arrival. One thing to keep in mind would be the lack of air conditioning, especially if a heat wave is happening. But there are ceiling fans to help with that.

Uncomfortable bed, spider webs outside as you walk through gate. Clean bathroom, old towels and bedding. Would not recommend.

Eva’s place is a very comfortable apartment that has its own private entrance, nice garden patio with covered table, kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, and table; bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries; bedroom with a very comfortable bed & extra bedding. In a quiet neighborhood and walking distance to a market and eateries inc. a Thai place. Easy check in - must check out by 10am.

My partner and I stayed here with our 2 pups for a weekend birthday trip. The place had everything we needed and was comfy and cute. The back patio was lovely with lots of plants and sunshine. Highly recommend!

This apartment attached to Eva's house has everything you need for whether it's a quick weekend trip, or an extended stay. My partner and I recently stayed here for a quick weekend visit with some friends in Ojai and found the suite to be more than spacious enough for the both of us. The bathroom is large as well. There is a full-size fridge and microwave, for those looking to bring some food along or stash away leftovers! I also forgot a personal item in the suite and Eva was kind enough to find it and mail them back to me. First class!

Cute little space, clean and not too far from various places.

Our son and his family live less than a mile away and we were looking for a place to stay in the event we wanted to visit them for a month or more over the winter. Although the property was very clean and exactly as described, I think it may be a little too cozy a place to spend a month or more in.

I always sleep good at Eva's Place. Its a quiet and comfortable place to stay in a nice neighborhood.

Close to town, a quiet neighborhood and a good location for the wedding we attended at Rancho Grande.

Eva was a great host. Her place was cute and quaint. My girlfriend and I had a blast. We enjoyed eating our breakfast on the patio. Neighborhood was quiet.

For the money it was excellent, the bed was comfortable and the unit is spacious. The kitchen is a little difficult to actually cook in with the microwave taking up most of the countertop, but there is an electric wok that you can make scrambled eggs for breakfast and a good sized fridge. Would stay again for sure!

Rented Eva’s place as a gift for my son and my 7 year old grandson who was visiting from out of town. They loved it!! Very private and peaceful. Near bike trails, beaches and outdoor dinning. Eva was a very kind and helpful host... My son and grandson are looking forward to staying their again.... Thank you Eva!

The property was quiet, clean and well stocked. The decor was fanciful and cheery. There was no TV which was fine for me. The futon/couch was not as comfortable as I would have wished but I would definitely stay here again.

The cottage is warm and welcoming and artfully decorated. There is a delightful garden area with table, chairs and a fountain. A great night's sleep in a quiet neck of the woods. Thanks Eva
