We very much enjoyed our visit to Lake Como and the trip was made extra special because of our stay at Wirnica. The staff was extremely attentive and very very nice. We would highly recommend this place! We would go back in a second. The breakfast was great, the pool and grounds were amazing, and our room was fabulous.

Beautiful Italian villa with a gorgeous garden and pool- the perfect retreat for relaxation after sightseeing and driving along windy, lakeside roads. We were extremely well looked after by Barbara and her attentive team and got lots of valuable recommendations from restaurant tips to travel info. Thank you !

we loved our stay at Wirnica. Garlate itself is a small town on the less busy leg of the lake. the hotel is a beautiful old villa with a large grounds and pool. the room was super comfortable and spacious. Barbara, Channa and the staff were unbelievably helpful, helped us to organise trips and even picking us up from Lecco when we couldn’t get a taxi!

the property itself was beautiful and relaxing and extremely comfortable. best of all was the treatment of the host and the staff who did a lot to make us feel at home and were really friendly welcoming and sociable. in fact we really felt like it was our own home. the view of the lake is breathtaking. totally recommended, a true hidden gem. it is a unique experience.

the breakfast was fine but could have been a bit more elaborate with more options.

Very friendly staff. Very accommodating, welcoming and helpful. The hotel was stunning, the grounds and the buildings themselves were lovely. Loved the little dog running around too.

Wirnica is a very unique and special place. The property has a lot of character, our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The garden has a dreamy view on the mountains and the lake and Barbara was a wonderful host and had great suggestions for us to visit the region which made a big difference for our stay.

Having travelled around in Italy quite a lot, I have to say the property was exceptional - filled with history and lovely details. It was truly amazing value for money.

Everything was perfect.

Place is perfect for relax! Nice garden and swimming pool. Stuff is realy friendly. Barbara and Marco is great people. Location is perfect close to all touristic place.

Very nice and big villa with beautiful garden and sound of a church. The room is a mixture of a home style (bedrooms) and modern design (bath). All is clean. Comfortable bed. We had a separate entrance from the street. There is a free parking place right there. Closed to some local restaurants and the lake (nice to walk or run along). Funny and clever owner’s dogs sometimes join guests during walking around and breakfast. There is a nice swimming pool but we did not use it. Welcoming and very helpful people.

Mosquitoes - come with your protection. Noise from the road nearby. Pillow not my shape. Breakfast - in general was good but something missing.
