We loved everything about Gardenview. Mary was so welcoming, helpful and sweet. We felt like we were staying with family. The Sunlit Suite was so big, comfortable and cozy. We loved the bed, bath and skylights. The room was bright and the weather was so great that we just kept the windows open and never needed the AC. We appreciated the refrigerator in the room and all of the tables, dressers etc where we could put our luggage and belongings. There is nothing I would change about the room.
The breakfast was nice, and we enjoyed visiting with the other couples who stayed there. Since we stayed 4 days, Mary asked if we would like something different on the last day, and she went out and bought yogurt and gluten free granola for me. She did whatever she could to make our stay a good one!
The location is good. We were .7 miles from the bus stop for the free bus that takes you around Newport. This part of town is close to the mansions which are amazing. You are also about a mile from downtown Newport so it's not a bad walk. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

Mary is a warm and inviting host. She communicated well and was well prepared. We also enjoyed meeting her wonderful and well behaved fig, Fitzy! Breakfast was delicious.
The B&B is not an easy walk to town but is on a very quiet residential area.

Mary was the most welcoming and charming hostess!! Her chocolate chip scones and homemade granola were delicious and a huge treat! The room was very comfortable and whilst a mile from the town centre - it’s an easy walk in and not far from the fabulous Cliff Walk- I found it an advantage to be a little off the beaten track!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The room was super comfortable - it even had a (electrical) fireplace. Breakfast was amazing and Mary the loveliest host you can imagine.

The breakfast was amazing, especially the scones and fresh squeezed orange juice. The innkeeper, Mary, was so friendly, kind and helpful. The garden view was charming. The room was very clean. We enjoyed the electric fireplace.
The tub was slow to drain.

We will absolutely be returning to this gem of a bnb. I am originally from the area, and stayed while in town for a reunion. The owner, Mary, is so warm and gracious, and she whipped up fresh and delectable breakfasts both mornings of our stay. The first evening and second morning, we had a lovely walk to Gooseberry Beach. It was also so much fun taking in the very cool decor that Mary has so clearly lovingly created. I would have already tried to reserve for next year's event, but a date hasn't been set yet!

Loved the location, the beautifully decorated home, the very delicious breakfast every day, and our wonderful hosts Mary and Fitz.
The mattresses were a little tired, but not awful. The second floor bathroom would be improved by a traditional shower head vs. just a hand held.
