Stayed with a couple friends for a long weekend. Walking distance to a walking street (Ontario), with pubs and shops. Metro close by. Attended a concert at Parc Olympic was 10-15 minute walk. Great weekend.

A roomy apartment for the four of us--very clean; comfortable beds, and the kitchen had everything one needed. The owner was super responsive to our questions and provided a list of nearby restaurants.
We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the neighborhood and appreciated the close location to the Botanical Gardens.

This apartment is a great location from which to explore Montreal. It's very close to the Joliette station, as well as walkable to the Olympic Park/Biodome etc. The owner is extremely responsive and the apartment is clean and comfortable.

A clean apartment in a great location. Host was very communicative. While the apartment is definitely non-smoking, neighbors smoking can be smelled … not a big deal unless bad allergies are present. A great stay!!
3.0 / 5.0
We visited Montreal for 4 days and used this location as a base for our stay. The experience is mixed so lets start at the positives.
- Easy check-in and useful instructions on how to comply with house rules.
- Clean!
- Very responsive host and good communication. Very helpfull in explaining the surroundings of the house.
- House is equipped with plenty of accessories, although the dishes needs to be done by hand ;-)
- Very close distance to STM (subway) and easy to get around (15 min to downtown Montreal).
- Own parking next to the house.
- Walking distance of Biodome, Botanical garden and Olympic stadium.
- Experience of what it must be like to live at this location in Montreal.
The negatives - not easy, since the host was very nice, but rated based on comparitive houses, you must also accept the review to be in comparison of what else is charged at these costs.
- The furniture and the house is so old that you're affraid of breaking it.
- Flush at toilet was fixed 4 times.
- Curtain in bathroom feel down several times, (old and very cheap solution).
- Aircondition is very noisy, implemented through open windows that hold the AC through a thin plastic screen.
- Large leather coach is poor quality.
- Hard to follow why floors must be treated with extra care, since they are very scracthed and you're affraid you might be accused of worsening the condition.
- Parking - Watch out for the tree that block the passage.
But despite the negatives we had a great time in Montreal.

Property was super conveniently located.1-2 blocks to Metro station. 1/2 block away from local convenience/grocery store. Easy 20-minute walk to the Botantical Gardens and Biodome. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed for making meals (other than the food which was easily obtainable at the grocery store 1/2 block away). And your own off-street parking spot. Perfect for a grey time visiting Montreal with the family.

This apartment is located in a quiet working class neighborhood. There is a park directly across the street with a playground and dog park. Transit is easily accessible, with a bus stop on the side street and a subway station a couple blocks away. It was easy to get to any part of the city. Coffee shops, grocery stores and restaurants are all within a 15 minute walk. There is a lot to see on Rue Ontario.
It’s and older style apartment, but clean and comfortable.

Great location, super close to the metro. Shopping, cafés, restaurants and bars are just a few minutes walk away. Owner/manager is exceptionally responsive and flexible. Couldn’t say enough about how they helped out with our schedule.

The location was very convenient to the metro station which we took to visit several neighborhoods in the city. We also walked to the botanic gardens and Olympic stadium which was only a few blocks away. There is a nice park across the street with a splash pad, playgrounds and dog park. It was nice to see some furry friends while on vacay. The owner was very nice and highly responsive!

I'm a tourist who doesn't like to be around tourists. So this delightful apartment in the Hochelaga neighborhood was perfect for my wife and me. Just across the street from a lovely park filled with people of all ages walking dogs, playing football (Canadian football?) and bocce ball, two blocks away from the best bread and cheese shop I've ever seen, this place made me feel as though I'd just moved into the neighborhood. Better still, it is only a two blocks from the Joliette Metro Station, which is almost like a Star Trek transporter when it comes to getting around the city.
The apartment itself, like all the others in the area, is an older 3 bedroom place in a three story building. It seems to date from the '80's, with original formica kitchen and wooden floors with old-school patina. It had all the equipment we needed -- we could have cooked anything we pleased had we not enjoyed the restaurants both local and around the city.
But while the apartment and neighborhood was exactly the home we hoped for, the best part was our host, who kept in ready contact with us, met us at the apartment to show us around, made cogent recommendations, and stood ready to make sure our stay was wonderful. When next we come to Montreal, we will happily stay there again.

This VRBO was a bit disappointing. The host was concerned about guests scratching her floors when all the floors were already badly scratched. The couches were very broken and unable to be used. The location was good but very noisy with limited space for parking. Tenants above and below were apparent smokers which impacted the smell of the apartment.

The home was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space for the four of us.
This property is a 5 minute walk to the Metro with many shops and restaurants within walking distance.
The kitchen is fully appointed and there were plenty of towels provided.
Neighborhood is relatively quiet.
Owner was responsive and helpful during our stay.

Comfortable apartment with 3 comfortable beds, and nice kitchen with washer dryer. Lively restaurant street is only 2 blocks away, the metro stop is one block in the other direction, and a decent farmer’s market is about 1 km away with the essentials of great breads and cheeses, butcher and vegetables. We loved this location.

Our stay in this Hochelaga location for our family of 3 and a family friend was a great choice. We drove up to Montreal, parked our car, and used the subway for the duration of our 4 day stay, which was a block and a half walk from the apartment. The owner was easy to contact and very helpful prior to and during our stay. The apartment provided us with all that we needed: comfortable, in a quiet location - even though it is on a major street, close (walkable) to neighborhood restaurants, several stores for groceries, and in proximity to the Botanical Gardens/Montreal Biodome that we had planned and did visit on this trip. Especially notable was a getting our French food fix from a wonderful boulangerie/pâtisserie- Arhoma, just south of the park across the street where we obtained French pastries, bread, coffee, and deli items for our breakfasts and lunches.

The property was exactly as listed and much more roomy than expected. The everything was cozy and neat. We had everything we needed in the kitchen as well. I would absolutely stay here again.

The neighborhood used to be known as a poorer area, but has gone through some gentrification. My suburban children didn't feel scared or uncomfortable. There are tenants living below the apartment, so if you have kids that stomp, jump or yell it might not be a great fit. Otherwise, it is a great stay.

Hang is a super-friendly host who catered to our every need -- allowing us a bit of extensions to check in and out with flexibility. She prepared the suite well for our family of 8, with enough towels and bedding, to use. Her kitchen is fully-equipped: not only with pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker, bowls and plates, eating uternsils etc... but she also has cooking essentials like cooking oils, saran wrap available. Those are great because it will be quite a waste to buy a bottle of cooking oil and only use a little bit. Thanks for equipping us to cook family meal!
The floor is very clean too. A wet kitchen paper towel used to wipe the floor remained white!
Location is great, 1 minute walk to the Metro Station, and you got your own parking space as well!

We stayed for three nights and found the location extremely convenient for getting into the city. Our host Hang was attentive and friendly and very easy to reach - response was very quick. In walking distance we discovered a lovely bakery with a cheese bar which was fabulous- I would encourage anyone staying to check out Arhoma for breakfast. I would certainly recommend this location and would definitely stay there again.

Great place in great location. Easy access to metro, local shops and parks. Hostess was helpful and quick to respond to questions. We visited the Olympic park and biodôme, science centre, old Montreal and downtown. All easy by metro or walking. Found lots of shops on rue Ontario just a few blocks from the apartment.
5.0 / 5.0
Very neat and clean apartment/property. More than adequate space for two adults and three kids (17, 15, 10 years old).
*Very* convenient location -- very quick, two-block walk to the nearest Metro station, from which it's so easy to explore multiple areas of Montreal. And an on-site parking space! It was incredibly convenient to be able to arrive, park our car, and not touch our car again until we left Montreal to head home. Walking distance to Olympic Park and associated attractions.
And not least of all, great communication with Hang, the owner, both before and during our stay. Flexible, helpful, and thoughtful; she checked in with us during our stay to make sure all was well and to ask if there was anything else we needed (which was then provided ASAP!). Also gave us a great tip for plans prior to our heading back out of town.
Overall a great experience; would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed the house very much. It was close to our event. It was just a 2 minute walk to a metro station. 5 minute walk to some grocery stores. The house was very clean, very spacious and quiet. If I needed any info i was able to contact Hang and got a response right away.

We had a great time staying at this location in Montreal. There is a great park and splash pad right across the street, the metro if 2 blocks away and it is a 15 min walk to the Botanical Gardens of Montreal. The host is wonderful and makes the check in process very easy. On the first night there the power went out for many hours due to a really bad thunderstorm. The host came within 15 minutes with flashlights and other lights so that we could get around the house easier with the power out. She checked in often to make sure our stay was great! I would stay there again for sure! The 3 separate bedrooms were also great!

This was a very spacious property for a family of four spending five days in Montréal. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen was supplied, washer and dryer was a huge perk for international travelers trying to save on packing space. Owner was very communicative and gave clear instructions for parking. Anyone with a full-size SUV or truck would have difficulty parking, but we have a compact SUV and fit perfectly. Metro stop was a short three minute walk from the property. The property has very specific rules to adhere to about shoes, which we had no problem following. Would stay here again for a return trip to the city.
4.0 / 5.0
Overall this property is good. The check in was very easy, the host checked in often to make sure we had what we needed. The location was good (maybe a little crime in the area). AC in each room and even a few items in the cabinets. It was well stocked for cooking as well. It was clean.
Recommendations would include providing a few extra bed quilts and changing out the sofa as the leather ones cushions keep falling off.

Recommended highly.

The house was located very close to the botanic Garden in the Olympic stadium. The unit was very spacious and perfect for a family looking for a base to explore Montreal. Communication with the host was quick and easy and overall it was a great stay.

Close to Metro station and easy access to the city. Bus stop in front of the house and street noise might bother light sleepers but easily masked by the sound of window AC units. Overall speaking, pleasant stay.

We came in for a couple of days for a concert and loved our stay here. We came with two 10 year olds who loved the park across the street. We took the subway (which is only 2 blocks away) and were downtown in less than 20 minutes. Great apartment with comfortable beds. We would definitely come back!

One of the best things about this house is it's location which is an uncomplicated drive into town. It's then an easy subway into Old Montreal if you want to go there. It's got a wonderful boulangerie, Arhoma, about an 8 min. walk and we bought croissants and bread there for breakfasts and readymade sandwiches there to go with a picnic lunch one day. Arhoma is the best patisserie I've had. Other restaurants are within walking distance and the metro station is 2 blocks easy walk on the same street as the house. The house is spotlessly clean and she has considered a lot of extra's to make things more convenient while using it. Beds are good to sleep in and bedding and towels are high quality. Used the washer and dryer once (bring soap/dryer sheets). My favorite thing about Hang is that she speaks English and French both flawlessly and she helped us a lot to figure out what to do. She even called me to find out more about what we were like so she could recommend the right things when I asked about her recommendations. Then she and her husband searched and found us something specific that I would never have found on my own. She also gave advice about transportation, metro and taxis. Our visit to Montreal was completely different, much more local and real because we came to this house instead of a hotel.

Communication with and support from our host was excellent. Directions to the apartment were accurate and appreciated as we arrived late in the evening.
We enjoyed our rendezvous with our family in this spacious, clean and well equipped apartment. It was a great location for 4 adults and 2 children with a park across the street, a short walk to the Metro and a variety of shops and restaurants, and close to the Biodome/Planetarium.
We would definitely stay here again if ever in Montreal. Thank you Hang.

The property was only a 4 minute walk away from the metro station, which pretty much takes you anywhere in Montreal! There’s a great park across the street for kids too! The host was so helpful in everything we needed and responded very quickly to our messages. I would definitely book this place again!

This property had everything we needed for a great stay in Montreal. Shopping, restaurants and the Metro were 2 blocks away, and the center of the city was a short Metro ride away. I didn't realize when booking that the owner has long term tenants both upstairs and downstairs from the unit - good to know for those of us with rambunctious kids. Overall, a wonderful spot and a very helpful owner.
