Great place to saty... Stunning beach views

The house was full of homely touches. Made us feel at home right away. It had all the amenities you could ever need. The kitchen was very serviceable and we cooked most nights. The host left us a lovely bottle of wine on arrival. Delicious.

The staircase up to the house was narrow and a little slippery. We had a lot of rain on one of the days that we were there and it caused my travelling partner a little bit of concern. That's the only thing though.

Beautiful views, cosy fireplace, everything we could need and more. Awesome location, across the road from the beach, short walk to pub and general store and great walking tracks. It was lovely being able to take our dog away with us, we all had the best time.

Beds a bit too soft - got a bit of a sore back and the couch was def not ergonomic.

Maybe just the fencing down the driveway side - not really dog proof.

We loved the self check in as we weren't sure of our arrival time and the host was very accommodating of that. We ended up arriving pretty late but it wasn't an issue at all. The host was also lovely to speak to over the phone and through the booking.com messaging platform. When we first arrived, we were greeted with a welcome package with some snacks, guest books, a chalkboard welcoming our family and a binder filled with guides and things to do around the area. From the front of the house, the view is exceptional and you can see the ocean across the road. The view from the back of the house is also lovely with rolling green hills and a few houses. We were able to watch the sunrise behind the hills. The neighbourhood is quiet at night and we had a good sleep during our stay. The property is very pet friendly. There is a wooden gate and fence at the front of the property to keep the dogs in. The back of the property has a massive grassy area for dogs to run around in and is enclosed with wire fencing. The interior of the house is very clean and cosy. The bed linens and towels were clean and fresh and the beds provided were very comfortable. All of the rooms in the house were nicely decorated as well. The toilet and shower were clean. The kitchen was also clean and stocked with all the basics you will need. The living room is lovely - warm and cosy. The host also provides wifi and Netflix, which was great when we were winding down for the evening. There is also a lovely fireplace and a heat pump to keep you warm or cool. We also loved the egg chair next to the window - lovely spot to read a book in while sipping a cup of coffee.

There were two outdoor kennels provided, which had cobwebs and dust inside, but we didn't use them as we had the two dogs stay indoors with us. The water bowl provided outside was dirty and filled with debris so we didn't use that either. There were also some holes in the wired fencing on the sides of the property that small dogs can easily fit through so keep that in mind. Also, the host does remind you that the house is on stilts and is elevated so you will feel the house sway with the wind but we didn't really notice it most of the time. Just keep that in mind if you easily get dizzy. Also keep in mind that you can only access the house via stairs, so it might be a problem if you have people/pets who find stairs difficult to use. Overall, we weren't really affected by these things and had a lovely and relaxing stay.

Very friendly hosts that provided a little welcome pack great upfront I formation and caring throughout our stay. Greatly equipped so that we could cook dinner and had a well Prepared fire place waiting for us. I can only recommend this place.

Good accommodation, many facilities, clean, beautiful view, many possibility of hiking and trips by car. Very friendly cleaning lady helped us out with small problems. General: all opportunity for a pleasant stay.

Written information for foreigners would be handy. Like how to use the fireplace, TV, video player etc. We did not use those because we did not know how. Too bad the owner left no email address left behind.
