What a beautiful location and comfortable cottage! We had everything we needed and more. Great Lake for kayaking and swimming and fishing.

We had a great time as a family at the Cottage Roy. The cottage itself and the grounds were lovely, and every detail was well Thought out. We appreciated the shaded area on the deck where we enjoyed many meals. A marina is next door, but we still felt a good sense of privacy. Overall we felt relaxed and rejuvenated after our week.

We were three adult fishermen looking for a relaxing getaway for some fishing. Zack's cottage was everything we could have asked for and more. Very pleasant, well equipped cottage right on the lake. The location is great. Zack and his parents were very accommodating. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay with cottage roy, looking forward to re-booking with them this year.

the property is maintained, has everything you could need. It is clean would be an awesome place to bring the whole family. They have thought of everything including gates on the patio to keep littles from the lake. The only thing I wish it had , is one more bedroom so I could bring my entire family here. We look forward to going again someday

The property was everything we hoped it would be! The cottage has a fire pit with a lakeside view, great swimming and fishing right off the dock, a private yard and deck and a canoe to explore the lake with. The cottage was well stocked and clean. Excellent stay!

We stayed at Zach’s cottage for an annual fishing trip. The cottage exceeded our expectations. Very clean and has everything you would possibly need. There is no one thing I could suggest to improve.

Cottage was VERY well kept, clean and stocked with kitchen equipment. Owners had great communication. The lake and surroundings were awesome. Great getaway for a short weekend or extended stays. I would highly recommend this cottage/house.

Thr Roy Cottage definetly exceeded our expectations! Very clean, and organized with anything you could possibly need.

This was an awesome location for an active family vacation. Beautiful swimming and running and great fishing and paddling as well. Cottage was just as advertised and had plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 kids. Air conditioning was a bonus as it was 30 plus every day we were there and it kept the inside perfectly comfortable. Zack was a pleasure to deal with and the little marina next door is really handy. I would highly recommend this cottage for a family get away.

Bobs Lake and this cottage were exactly what we were looking for. We could fish, enjoy the wildlife, and relax. One of the most memorable experiences was watching otters swim near us on two occasions. This was the first time my wife and I ever saw them in the wild. The property was perfect for my wife and I. It was absolutely clean upon our arrival. I was able to launch a 19’ boat at the private ramp on the property which was very convenient, since my wife hates driving the truck with a trailer attached. There’s electric by the dock to maintain your boat batteries - just bring an extension cord. The cottage had a/c, tv (satellite?) and wi-fi - all worked well. The kitchen and appliances were great. We actually used the grill the most and had wonderful lunches and dinners on the deck overlooking the lake. The only reason I didn’t give this five stars for location was because the property is next to a small marina used by a campground next door. The weekend boat traffic was obviously higher during this time and occasionally annoying by boaters who don’t know what no wake speed means. The marina does sell fuel on the water which was very convenient for me and was another reason for the boat traffic.There’s a sandy beach on the lake that’s only a few minutes away where we could park the boat, pull out chairs, wade in the water and relax during the mid afternoon hours. There’s also a nearby cliff to jump off of, if you’re up for it. Both of these places are found on your way to the canal connecting Crow Lake. Westport is only 25-30 minutes away and was a nice place to visit the one morning it rained. Finally, Zach was great to work with. He responded quickly to all my questions before we rented the cottage. He was there when we arrived and answered all my questions about the lake and property, since it was my first time there. Writing this review makes me want to hook up my boat and go back!
