From the start of the process of reserving , Ann has made it simple and stress free! She responded yo us quickly if we had any questions. We are very familiar with the area, so finding her cottage made us so happy. It was clean, comfortable and very homey! We felt like we were home as soon as we opened the door. Looking forward to many more stays.

We love this area in the fall, traveled form Salt Lake City, Utah and got in around 2AM. Owner was just perfect in communication and had no issues getting into property. Location is why we picked this property and for what we like to do in the area the access was great and the neighborhood quiet when we wanted to relax. Hope it is available our next trip back east.

Everything was just wonderful!

I have stayed at this property before, which is why I booked it when I saw it was available. Don't expect an ocean view, though you can hear the surf. Nestled in trees, the property is in the quiet part of Cape Ann a short drive from both downtown Rockport and Gloucester, close to a few beaches. Very clean with a comfortable bed, and a nice patio for morning coffee. A great place for weary travelers to rest after a full day exploring the cape.

Super clean and super location! Cannot beat location. Could use a full length mirror a tea kettle but No complaints, lovely. Would definitely recommend. Loved the little patio area. Road noise starts about 7 am but not a problem. Very nice and felt safe.

Gloucester is not Walker friendly Thatcher Rd is dangerous to walk, we did multiple times because the beach was so close there’s no need to take a car Loved Long Beach Good harbor beach super crowded, We walked everywhere xcept to ROCKPORT where we went to Halibut State Park(a must visit) Cottage very basic, 1 roll paper towel not enough, no spices or condiments other than salt/pepper, a little musty but open the windows for air and was fine, we brought our own linens and only used their bathroom towels Was private, great location, would definately return !

Ann was very reachable and quick to respond, the house was comfortable and in a great location.

I stayed at the cottage with my husband and 11 month old. Upon arrival it seemed super cute, however, you can tell that it’s just used for rentals. It is no frills, and had more of a motel vibe - the couch definitely needs to be replaced as there big holes and bits flaking off it. Bed was OK for a couple nights, though we found a bunch of sand in it on the first night - when we contacted Ann she was very responsive and offered to send the cleaners but at the point it was like 7:30 at night. We washed the sheets ourselves but the sand was really in there, hopefully it was a one off from the previous renters. The cottage is very close to the beaches, although I agree with other reviews that walking would be a bit dicey with little kiddos ( I would be fine doing it with just adults or older children .) Ann did give a great tip for an easy drop off spot to Gloucester beach, but we didn’t end up needed it as we found the the parking attendant left by 3:30 pm. Location is super super convenient to Rockport, Essex, and Halibut park as well as restaurants. I think with a bit of a refresh it could be a real gem.

We made a stop 4 days in Gloucester to visit east cost and Boston. Very good place for that. Ann’s house corresponds to what is precise in the description. I recommend

Overall the property was just fine....couch needs some fixing...nice little patio in back. No sidewalks to get to Long or Good Harbor Beach so one needs to be careful especially if you have children...single file or drive and drop off. Great location. I had an issue with the lock (it was me) and the property manager came by to show me what to do.

We loved the property, very clean and plenty of space for our family of 4. The walk along Thacher Road is a bit scary as there is no sidewalk or shoulder. Our solution: my husband dropped us off at Long Beach and brought the car back to the house and walked back (it’s only 10 min max). I wish there was a cut through across the street because the location of this property was great. Parking for the beaches can get expensive too, $20 during the week and $35 on the weekend. We would stay here again.

Cozy, quiet house close to beach.

This was a nice little house close to the beach. It was clean and bed was comfortable. There was a comfy couch and tv and WiFi. The shower wasn’t great and we could’ve used at least some hand towels. There were towels provided but they were wrapped in plastic bath towels.

We enjoyed our stay for the 4th! Great location and perfect space! Thanks for having us.

My husband and I stay for an extended weekend trip to Gloucester and Rockport beaches. We enjoyed Long Beach and Good Harbor beach both are a short drive. Long Beach parking is $20 and Good Harbor requires an advance prepayment online for a parking pass. Great restaurants and shopping options for groceries.

Short walk but on busy Thatcher Rd so single file! Walking to beach. Pictures are very accurate and quiet area with a lovely patio area and plenty of parking. Beach and bath towels were provided along with bed linens. Kitchen is fully equipped and nice open living/dining and kitchen area with counter stools, etc. Can’t wait to come back!

Good proximity and easy walk to Long Beach but, even if weather had been better, we would not have liked the walk to Good Harbor Beach as busy road with no sidewalks. House keeping details - lacking in a few things. Only one dishwasher pod, no sponges to hand wash pans or cloths to wipe and keep counter tops clean.

Enjoyed our stay. We were close to many sightseeing opportunities and, best of all, the ocean!

We found the property to be clean, efficient, quiet and private. The location is great for beaches, dinners, and sight seeing. We had easy access to everything, including the grocery store. It was a great vacation!

Perfect tiny house with plenty of space and great outdoor space. Excellent location, walk to beaches or easy rides to all that Cape Ann has to offer. House was clean and cool upon arrival, comfortable bed and furnishing. Had family renting the big house... perfect family compound. A great VRBO to experience Gloucester!

The perfect spot for our family to base ourselves for a visit to Gloucester / Rockport. A new and modern property, perfect for our family. :)

We loved our stay! The cottage is close to the beach, very clean, the air conditionning works great and there is good water pressure in the shower. We appreciated the on-site washer/dryer. The only suggestion for improvement is a firmer mattress on the bed!

The cottage was very clean and well equipped for our stay. My daughter and I had another wonderful trip to Gloucester/Rockport. Easy access to both downtown Gloucester and Rockport. Good Harbor Beach traffic on Saturday morning can delay access from the south, but the "scenic route" through Rockport and coming down from the north will bypass any issues.

We have stayed at this property several times. Always clean and the owner is very responsive with all inquiries. Can’t wait to visit again!
