Tombstone at the Ore House Inn
Tombstone est une belle suite située dans un bâtiment vieux de 130 ans au-dessus du restaurant Elk Creek Mining Company au centre-ville de New Castle. Le lit queen-size peut accueillir 2 personnes et il y a 1 canapé-lit queen-size et 1 canapé-lit double dans le salon. Nous avons jusqu'à 3 lits pliants pour des personnes supplémentaires, idéalement Tombstone est pour 4 adultes et 4 enfants. À près de 900 pieds carrés, il dispose d'une cuisine et d'un coin repas complets, d'une salle de bain complète avec douche carrelée, d'un grand salon donnant sur le centre-ville et d'une belle chambre. Notre chambre à thème a le câble T. V., Internet haut débit, une console de jeu, des équipements typiques de l'hôtel et des couverts pour 8 personnes. Nous offrons des réductions pour les sources chaudes d'Iron Mountain, le rafting et le parc d'aventures Glenwood Caverns après la réservation. Nos couloirs caractérisent l'histoire minière de New Castle. Près du domaine skiable Sunlight, des montagnes Flattop et du parc Rifle Mountain. Tombstone est mis en place pour que les familles passent du temps ensemble. Il y a une machine à glaçons et une laverie à vue. Nous avons également 4 places de stationnement E. Such a fun place for our family to visit. Felt like we were in the comfort of our own home with funner decor! John and Cori were so easy to communicate with as well!! Will definitely be coming back for a longer stay!!

This was a great place to stay, lots of room and great amenities. Met the owners when we first arrived and they were very friendly. We got to visit Glenwood caverns the next day and got a nice discount from the inn which was great! Would definitely stay again!

the entire room smelled like bleach, we waited 45 minutes and ended up having to leave and book else where. the building was a lot more outdated than we anticipated and what the photos had shown. very unsettling experience.

Tombstone
Our stay at Tombstone was a lot of fun. We were initially concerned with there only being one bed, but the kids got a kick out of all couches and sleeper sofas. The biggest thrill of the week was when the kids found Mario 3.
My only minor complaint was that I did t know that the laundry in the back required money. Every other VRBO that I have booked has had laundry included. I at least would have brought some quarters had I known.

Colorado stay

Great Month Long Stay!
The property was perfect for my month long stay in New Castle. I had originally been planning to stay in Glenwood Springs but I found this listing and am so glad I ended up here instead. The Tombstone unit is super spacious and with great accommodations (comfy couches/lots of sitting room, TV with all kinds of connection options, stocked kitchen, lots of towels, big closet). John was available to answer questions as I had them. It was nice to get 10% off at the restaurant downstairs (I ate there many times when I didn't feel like cooking AND it didn't get too loud or smell like a restaurant from within the unit itself which was nice). As a single female, I felt very safe - there were multiple locks on the doors and a motion activated light outside of the building. Also, the location is second to none. I loved being on main street with access to all the different restaurants. The building is also walking distance to hikes around New Castle. This was my first long term VRBO stay and I really enjoyed the experience - thanks!

Great place to stay, clean, comfortable and great owner and staff.
We will definetely stay here again. Great owners and staff. Our apartment was very clean, comfortable and kitchen was amazing, equipped with everything to prepare your own meals. We ate most of our meals in the appartment. Ate a couple of times at the downstairs restaurant, which was great, also had a couple of drinks in the evenings, I suggest trying the Pink squirrel. The service was amazing, friendly, quick and very accommodating.

Fantastic place!
Very clean and unique place with a lot of space and great views! We were impressed with the area as well as the friendliness of the staff at the restaurant below. This place was perfect for our family and close to the hotsprings without all the traffic. We will definitely be recommending to family and friends!

Unfriendly town
My husband and I were looking forward to a couples getaway. We were accosted by an intoxicated patron of the restaurant where you check in. The parking is not ideal and parts of the place were unclean (bathroom) but it was a very nice room overall. Just needed better cleaning and nicer people. We ordered food from the restaurant to go, as the lady that verbally accosted us was still there, and the food was very good.

Ski race
We needed a place to stay the night before my daughter had a ski race at Sunlight Mountain. This space was ideal lots of space and a fun theme and it was quiet which was appreciated. The restaurant downstairs hit the spot and allowed us to decompress after a long drive.

Nice stay
It’s a very old building and has a lot of charm. Could use some touching up, patching of holes and better cleaning. Needed more towels in bath and kitchen. We stayed 11 nights, and overall we had a nice experience. We would stay again and recommend it.

Historic & friendly place to stay
We stayed in the Tombstone Room with our 11 & 13 yr old children. This is not your ordinary, "run-of-the-mill" room as it's in an historic building with lots of character. It's on the 2nd floor (26 steps up & no elevator). There is another set of stairs on the back side of the building with less steps. We had everthing we needed: good beds, well-stocked kitchen and games. It's conveniently near restaurants, the library, park & farmer's market. The rooms were decorated with cowboy photos and included an Atari game, western movies and record player ( with records!) We liked that it was near Glenwood Springs where we went to the hot springs & adventure park.

We loved our stay at the Ore House! So comfortable and themed great.
We loved the rooms are the Ore House. We stayed in the Tombstone Room 2 nights and loved the area so much we stayed one more night and stayed one the Ice House.
Each room was unique and comfortable. This is definitely a peppery we will return to in the future.
John was great and all of the restaurant staff was nice too.

Spacious and Lovely Rooms
The rooms were very spacious and nicely located. My family (all six of us) was able to stay comfortably and we had easy access to nearby attractions. Highly recommend it!

Clean, Spacious and Great Location
Wonderful spot to stay! Avoid crowds in a Glenwood Springs but still have access to all the sites and beautiful outdoors. The place is clean, nicely appointed and historically interesting. The owner is responsive, professional and gracious. Extra cleaning and social distancing/masks for COVID respected. Highly recommend!!!!!

Communication Lacking
Four people, one washcloth in the room. Text the owner who told me to find a housekeeper to ask for more ( I’m already undressed to shower) or he could leave some hanging on the door. Got home after a late evening and still no washcloths. Text again the next morning and finally got a knock on the door and got handed two, stiff what looked to be dishcloths.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The theme of the room was fun, it was spacious, charming and over all very enjoyable. The check-in process was flawless, they were very polite, friendly and informative. We plan to stay at the Ore House again!

The apartment was very clean. Had everything you need to stay a few days. Lots of things to do within walking distance.

The apartment is very good, a lot of space, movies and games available, good location, very good communication with the owner. The only unpleased things were the rollaway beds and sofa sleeper. The mattresses were not comfortable, I could barely sleep because of the "wave" in the middle of it, I would prefer mattresses to place in the floor instead of those rollaway beds, but this is personal.
