The home was immaculate and had all the cooking utensils that were needed. The view was relaxing, and we saw deer and rabbits and heard other wildlife. We even saw a very young, possibly weeks old fawn. We did not expect a gravel road, but it was well maintained. We would stay at this location again. We attended the Highland Games and went to Little Switzerland for a great lunch and to the Mineral Museum. It was a fun vacation.

Just spent 4 wonderful nights at this property, if you are looking for quiet, tranquility, peace, quiet and a beautiful place in nature this is your item. Everything was as described on the website, oh we didn’t see any beers, boo. Very well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds. , drive up the dirt road was a piece of cake.. Would recommend!

This is the perfect spot near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house was spotless upon check-in, and everything was as described.

Amazing stay at this ultra clean and nicely appointed mountain top cottage. Went with my husband and tweens and there was more than enough to keep them entertained. We enjoyed chats on the porch soaking in the gorgeous view and twinkling fireflies. The house is modern and very comfortable! Highly recommended for anyone looking to take a break and escape to fresh air and peaceful mountain setting!

It doesn’t get much better than this site. Beautiful views, great amenities, and an owner who was always available for questions. My friend and I stayed for four wonderful nights in this wonderful home in comfortable spacious rooms with each of us having our own full bath. We made use of the wonderful kitchen and outdoor grill, that was fully outfitted with every utensil you could need. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who needs a break from their normal life to decompress. I’m already planning my return trip!

Perfect quite place to get away. Loved sitting on the porch looking at the mountain side.

Nice layout with good kitchen and baths. Living room had only a sofa for sitting. Yard needed mowing (was mowed last day of our stay). Porch needed sweeping. Internet was spotty. Bring your own soap and shampoo. Nice view of mountains.

House was very nice and well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed being close to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We weren’t prepared for how remote and off the beaten path this property was. The property itself is quite nice (though it didn’t seem the wi-fi was working), and the photos are accurate. However, we eventually made the decision that the location and lack of restaurant options were not our cup of tea, so we moved to a hotel in Asheville for the duration of our stay. If you’re a hiker and know where to go, this place may be perfect for you.

This property was just as described! My wife and i had a relaxing weekend. We will definitely be returning! Host was very helpful and responsive.

We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house. Awesome location just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Quiet and restful in the mountain tops. The house was clean, the kitchen well equipped, and beds super comfy. Bill responds quickly to any inquiry. I think we just found a great get-a-way place in western NC. Myself, my husband, and two friends stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect! The view is to die for and so peaceful! Very close to hiking and climbing. Property was extremely clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. No complaints whatsoever and would definitely stay here again!

This cabin was perfect! Well-stocked with all necessities. Beds were super comfy. It was cold outside, and the cabin was well-insulated. The view is spectacular!! Bill was great with communication. A little drive to the small town to try a couple of restaurants. Hef’s restaurant has great burgers and fries and pizza. Fox and the Fig is a coffee shop with the best bagels and biscuits. In a nearby town, we had BBQ at Pigs and Grits and that was delicious. Well worth the 30-minute drive. Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Linville Falls, and the Biltmore are must-sees. A little drive to all of those places. The road up to the cabin is steep and winding, but not bad at all. Easy to navigate. Everywhere you go it’s a nice drive through curvy roads, so just take your time, and you’ll be fine. This cabin was quiet, comfy, and peaceful. If you’re looking to relax with a great view, this is the place for you!

We had a nice weekend at Tranquility. The views were great and cabin was nicely stocked with everything we needed for our long weekend stay. Only wish was to have a portable heater or fire pit to enjoy the view sitting on the deck in the mornings or early evenings… it was a little too chilly for us! Would definitely recommend to others.

It's my third time in this cabin in Spruce Pine and is the best place to stay, clean, cozy and everything faultless. The communication with the host it's amazing and fasters response, 100% recommended.

It is a peaceful and quiet mountain place with excellent road access. It is close to trails and places to visit. The cabin layout is wonderful with all the amenities you need, just relax and enjoy the mountain view.

This place was perfect. It's high elevation allows for an incredible view from the front porch. The home was well appointed, especially if you like to cook a meal or two on vacation. A great weekend overall and would definitely return.

This was an amazing home within a mile of the parkway. The homes location was beautiful with Mountain View’s. We explored the area visiting Mt Mitchell, Little Switzerland and drove highway 197 from Pensacola to Barnardsville. The home was newly renovated and did not disappoint. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful, clean, well-kept property with great a view and plenty of outdoor experiences nearby. We absolutely loved it, will recommend to friends and will be back if Bill will have us in the future. Highly recommend!

The home is perfect for 2 couples with living area I. The middle. Very tastefully decorated with super comfy beds and linens!!😌😌. Beautiful sunrises albeit a bit cool when we were there still very pretty. The kitchen has about everything one can think of the only thing I couldn’t find was a muffin/cupcake pan but plenty of others. Perhaps maybe a waffle iron also although we never made any do didn’t look as I always bring my own. The covered front porch is great for sitting and the table furniture was very comfy. All top notch everything here you won’t be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this mountain home. The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The view from the front porch is beautiful and the location is very quiet and tranquil.

We had a fun time in the cabin. The view is breathtaking. Try not to miss the “earth to sky” park where you will see billions of stars and the Milky Way. We loved trips on the Blue Ridge Parkway and a stop at Little Switzerland. The cabin is very cozy with up to date appliances and a fully equipped kitchen. All in all we loved our stay.

Bill’s place has the perfect layout for our group of 2 couples. Super clean and tastefully decorated. It’s about one hour drive to Asheville downtown, but only 20 minutes to Little Switzerland and Linville Falls. We spent more time on the patio enjoying the view, using the gas grill to prepare meals than being inside the house. Great communication with the host; all my questions were answered promptly. Wifi is a bit slow but totally working. Feeling completely recharged after 4 days stay.

Bills' place is awesome! The house is very clean and modern with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views from the front porch are beautiful. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking meals. The bedrooms are large and spacious with their own bathrooms. The area is really easy to navigate with a lot of things to do in the area. I would highly recommend staying here.

This was our second time here and we love it! Two mater suite concept worked great for us with two couples and then with our family of three. Great views and equipped with everything you need. Bill is very responsive as an owner.

The property is 1 mile up a gravel road that is easy to navigate… only a couple of miles off BRP. Beautiful view. Love the porch. You will be immediately WOW’d when you enter. Great renovation. Kitchen and den area very well done. A bedroom is on either side. Perfect layout. You will like the beds if you like VERY firm beds. The sheets on one bed need to be replaced (no where close to fitting) and that was a big bother. Other than that… the place is basically perfect for us. Great communication with Bill. The fridge and freezer weren’t working so we lost 2 nights leftovers (big bummer) but they’ve never had problems with it and there’s nothing he could have done. Very clean. Very great location. Very good communication. Beautiful views. Easy to get to even at night. We’re a fan!

Bill was a great host. We had a great Memorial Day weekend in the mountains with our kiddos!
