Luxury Cabin, Breathtaking Year Round Views a Quiet Retreat

This is one of the best properties that we have stayed at in Blue Ridge. The Interior was wonderful and the view was beautiful. A lot of deer and turkeys to watch. We will be back.

Amazing stay at this property. Everything was perfect. Beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony and from the jacuzzi. Beds we’re comfortable. Everything you could need was there. 10-15 deer hung out in the front and back on several occasions. My son is 8 and he had a great time exploring out back. Lots of things to do all within 15-30 minutes of cabin.

The house is comfortable, spacious and well equipped with all the necessities. We had a great time as did our daughter and granddaughter. We would definitely book this destination again.

We enjoyed our visit to the Sundial Lodge. The home was warm, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The mountain views from the living room and deck are gorgeous. The kitchen is well- equipped and the master bedroom is very comfortable.

This is a very well appointed property with a great view of the mountains, however the map on the VRBO site is misleading as it lists distances from downtown Blue Ridge, not from the property. I understand not wanting to show the actual address but the map should show distances from the general region of the property. We booked this thinking it was within walking distance of the town - it is not. The property is a 30+ minute drive southeast of town. When we were informed of the address we chose not to cancel, but be aware the map on the site is misleading at best. If you want a nice place a ways out of town this is perfect for that. If you want to be very close to Blue Ridge find another property.

This property was everything the listing said and more. The view is amazing! It snowed our first night and the next morning was perfect with the gas fireplace and hot tub. We will be going back again.

Beautiful land peaceful location. We enjoyed staying here with our family of 6. The lay out of the home was perfect for us. Kitchen was equipped for us to cook our Thanksgiving feast. Spa has a beautiful view and our children loved exploring the forest and watching wildlife! We saw turkeys, and deer. The beds were all so comfortable and the game room was a hit. The home was clean and cozy. We enjoyed local food and panning for gems. It was a perfect relaxing vacation for the whole family. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

We loved the remote area and the cabin! There were many things to do or just relax and take in the view. Cabin was well stocked with all the amenities of home! The internet was spotty at times which did pose a little trouble for my husband who had to work a day ot two during our stay, but we managed. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home!

Went with my older parents and toddler and was great for all! I appreciated the lack of small knickknacks and the pack and play as well as how well the kitchen was stocked with tools and plates for a stress free cooking experience.
Was an easy drive into Blue Ridge but we mostly enjoyed relaxing on the porch together. Our host was easy to communicate with and we appreciated their hospitality!

We loved this cabin! It was very clean. The views were incredible. The cabin was even more beautiful in person, compared to the pictures.
It has a well-stocked kitchen. Elaine was a pleasure to work with. It was a wonderful week for our family of five.

My family, myself, husband, mother in-law and my 12 year old son booked a family getaway. After many days of looking at reviews and properties, we decided on the Sun Dial Lodge. This cabin will not disappoint you! The photos do not do justice for the cabin itself. The cabin is breath taking and the view is spectacular. Mrs. Elaine was quick to communicate and very pleasant. If you have elders going with you, I suggest putting them on the main level as the steps can get tiring for them. We have 0 complaints on the cabin and enjoyed every moment there!!

Worked well for our teens to have basement space. Wish heater worked downstairs, though. Bedroom stayed warm but den was chilly. Upstairs foosball and pool table were very nice.

This was a great cabin to stay in while visiting Blue Ridge. Everyone loved the place and all the room. The kitchen was very stocked and we loved the roomy dining room off of the kitchen. Everyone had their own space and plenty of things to do. The view is beautiful! Great porch to sit on and take in the view. The kids loved the firepit and being in the outdoors, we saw deer two mornings in the yard. The only negatives I could think of would be: the hottub is not ready when you get there you have to turn the temp up and allow it to get hot, need new wash cloths, and a few more candles and flashlights (we were there during a storm and lost power, not a whole lot of options for light).

My family, kids, grandparents, and dogs, all absolutely loved this cabin!! This is by far one of the most well appointed cabins I have stayed in, and we come up yearly and sometimes, when we are lucky more! The cabin is very roomy, the kitchen was well stocked with equipment, etc. the decor was calming and pleasing, and not over done with "themed decor". We enjoyed the view(to die for) in the morning with coffee and the misty clouds, the hot tub, grilled out, had a campfire and made s'mores, played pool, foozball, etc. There was something for everyone! Ours four legged children loved being able to hang out on the porch, thanks to the well thought gate at the front, they thought they had free roam. We stayed for a week, and could stay forever. While in the area we visited Falls creek falls, not too far from the cabin, and a fairly easy trek up. We went To the local bowling alley, headed over to Hiawasee, for the fair. Hiked up to Brasstown bald , kayaked at Vogel, stopped in at sunrise grocery, in Blairsville for boiled peanuts(only the best ever)! Went to Murphy,NC to Field of the Woods, and climbed prayer mountain. Beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the mountains, and in this cabin!

Great cabin with beautiful views. The cabin was well appointed with all necessary kitchen supplies and clean. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in their home and want the renters to be comfortable. It was a great place for us and our dog. Variety of things to do and explore a fairly short drive away. The town of Blue Ridge is a must see. We had a wonderful outing to the Blue Ridge Lake Recreation Area. Our dog went with us everywhere. When locating the cabin, it is the 4th one on the left. The owners were wonderful to work with.

Going to be hard to come up with enough superlatives to describe our 5-day stay at the wonderful Sundial! The website photos, as good as they are, do not do the place justice. You have to be there! This house is perfect for a family reunion or for (as in our case) a three-couple retreat. Each floor has its own bedroom with comfy beds, bath, and TV, so the privacy was great. In addition, the common areas are inviting and spacious. We so enjoyed cooking together in the well-equipped kitchen and also lounging about in the beautiful great room or out on the spacious deck-with-hot-tub; the deck and hot tub both have broad roofs, ideal for our one rainy day. The property is well-maintained and spotlessly clean. I am highly recommending Sundial to friends and family members and cannot wait to rent this lovely home again myself. Nearby Blue Ridge is a fun town to explore (try the Blue Ridge Brewery for a yummy lunch!). The owners', Mike's and Elaine's, love of their home is readily evident, and they are great at answering our questions prior to our trip. In closing, I wish that I was there in the hot tub right now!

our family just spent a rainy 4th of July creating memories and enjoying the serenity of the surrounding mountains and forest. The ever changing mists and clouds in the valleys and mountains created a kaleidascope that could be enjoyed for hours while sipping your beverage of choice on the deck in one of the rocking chairs or the swing. The sundial lodge is beautiful, equipped with everything you could need and more. Thanks for letting us bring our "girls" (2 poodles), they enjoyed the wide range of forest scents. Looking forward to a return trip.

The Sunrise Lodge was beautiful! Very nicely decorated with leather couches and chairs as well as a large dining table to accommodate 8 people with plenty of space. My family and I visited for the week of Thanksgiving and the kitchen was very well stocked, plus they had really cute dish ware too! The only thing that was lacking was silverware... there was enough for everyone for one meal, but then we had to wash it before the next meal.
We woke up to beautiful sunrises every morning and had quiet evenings on the patio. The hot tub was wonderful, just give it some time to warm up.
We were about 30 minutes from town, which was very easy to get to... plus, the directions provided made everything simple!
The internet was very fast, but cell phone reception was limited... there is a landline to use that came in handy. However, we were there to relax and get away, so the limited cell service wasn't a big deal for us.
The Sunrise Lodge was the perfect place for our growing family to spend the week and we will certainly be back!

I LOVED my stay at the cabin. I went with a few other couples with kids and pets. The cabin itself was perfect. It had enough space for all of us. I liked that there was the hot tub, firepit, and pool table on site, so that if we didnt want to venture out we had pleny to do. The view of the mountains is breath taking! There are lots of options to get out and explore very close by. Tubing, kyaking, hiking, the train ride, the swinging bridge, were all attractions we went to. Every one had a great time! I will definatly be going back, there are still so many things I want to do in the area! I would definatly refer family and friends to come and stay!
