Mountain Retreat! Vintage Creekside Cabin.
Profitez d'une expérience Rocky Mountain dans ce rustique, original 1958 chalet niché dans les bois. Cet emplacement est une belle retraite pour les familles et tous ceux qui veulent profiter du plein air. Notre chalet est situé sur Grimes Creek avec près d'un acre de forêt sereine et un paysage merveilleux.
Que vous soyez un amateur de plein air qui aime faire de la randonnée et le vélo ou quelqu'un qui bénéficie de la tranquillité paisible de la pêche ou de lire un livre par le courant, il y a beaucoup d'activités pour l'ensemble du groupe. Vallecito Lake est à environ 1. 5 miles sur la route pour de nombreuses activités nautiques, y compris la pêche, la navigation de plaisance, ski nautique, jet ski, paddle board et kayak. Il y a aussi de nombreuses randonnées disponibles dans la forêt nationale environnante, avec un sentier dans la Wimanuche Wilderness à distance de marche.
La cabine dispose de 3 chambres. La chambre principale est située à l'étage principal avec deux chambres situées à l'étage. La cuisine est bien équipée avec un réfrigérateur, micro-ondes, grille-pain, cuisinière et des ustensiles. La salle à manger un grand groupe et ouvre directement dans le salon. Le salon est meublé avec 3 canapés, un fauteuil inclinable en cuir et cheminée d'origine.
Depuis le salon vous pouvez voir la face de la propriété donnant sur les arbres de pin ou à l'arrière de la propriété avec vue sur la rivière. Une porte coulissante en verre ouvre directement sur une terrasse en bois de la salle de séjour. Profitez des beaux sons du flux comme vous détendre sur le pont. Également situé dans la cour arrière est un nouveau gril à gaz pour vos repas de barbecue en plein air. Il y a beaucoup de chaises de jardin et une table de pique-nique pour votre terrasse. Comme la nuit tombe, rôtir des guimauves dans le foyer.
Notre cabine est une retraite paisible avec un excellent service de téléphone cellulaire si vous avez besoin de se connecter au reste du monde. A "TV 40 est situé dans le salon avec une Xbox pour les jours pluvieux. Il y a beaucoup de jeux de société et des livres qui ont été recueillies au cours des années pour tous les goûts. Pour ceux qui veulent jouer à des jeux en plein air, nous avons une cour et des fers à cheval de volley-ball / badminton.

The cabin is perfectly curated and very cozy! We loved the DVDs and board games, and all the instructions were extremely helpful. We loved hearing the sound of the creek when we had the windows open, and having a wood indoor fireplace was one of our favorite parts of the trip. 10/10 would recommend!

The cabin was so quaint and the owners thought of absolutely every detail. Any thing we could have possibly wanted or needed was there! The creek running behind the cabin was so relaxing and we enjoyed all of the wild life as well! If we return to Vallecito Lake, we will definitely stay here again! <3

We had an absolutely amazing time. The home was cozy, clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed and more. Location is amazing and property is perfect for young children who can play outside all day! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

A lot of thought has gone into this property. There are so many things to do, any age will love it here! They even had bikes the right size for each of us. The only two things that weren’t up to expectation. I emailed the owner prior to going with a quick question but never got a response. The other was the trash has to be taken with you. The stores you can take your trash to closed by 7. We left early in the morning so ended up driving a trash bag 15 hours home with us.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was comfortable and the setting was great. The creek was absolutely our favorite from our girls playing in it to just listening and relaxing with a cup of coffee. Thank you for a great stay.

We had an amazing time here! The volleyball court, badminton and horse shoes were a big hit with our kids. Loved the creek running behind and sitting out there in the morning with my coffee was my favorite part. The beds were comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place.

You can’t ask for a more tranquil setting! Morning coffee on the back patio with the stream gurgling and beautiful wildlife to enjoy (squirrels, birds, even a pair of fawns!). The downstairs living space was very nice and the kitchen was tiny but it worked! Everything was clean, and there were plenty of towels and linens. The pictures didn’t quite show how tiny the upstairs bedrooms were. You can stand up straight at certain places up there but have to stay hunched to move around. The stairs were tricky, too, as they are tight and quite steep and narrow. Fortunately, we put our young adult kids up there and they did fine. Very cute place. Can’t beat the proximity to the lake! Beautiful area.

This peaceful, cozy cabin was a perfect getaway for us and our two older boys! We very much enjoyed the peace of the outdoors...the sound of the stream running right off the back of the property, watching the deer and listening to the birds! The perfect location of the cabin (away from the busy) still allowed us to travel to a couple of trailheads we had on our agenda to hike while visiting Colorado...One just down the road from the cabin and another in Silverton. (We made it to Ice Lake!)
We also enjoyed visiting downtown Durango as well as spending much needed quiet time at at the cabin!
Our 23 year old son even said “I could live in this cabin!”

Wonderful!
We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at this quaint and cozy piece of paradise! We so enjoyed the cabin itself as well as the deer, birds, chipmunks, and the idyllic stream right outside the back door! The owner was very responsive to our needs and met our every expectation! We would book this property again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful Creekside Cabin
Communication with was very easy and always timely. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen and bathroom was well stocked (pots, dishes, condiments; soaps, shampoos, towels). Very peaceful, quiet, and convenient location. We would absolutely stay again.

Perfect cabin!
We made fabulous family memories at this darling cabin in the woods! We loved playing badminton, listening to the lovely mountain stream in backyard and taking walks around the neighborhood. It was nice to unplug and reconnect.

Cozy cabin on an amazing property in a beautiful environmeny
The four of us stayed at the cabin for a week and we had such a wonderful time. The cabin has everything you need and then some, it's well equipped, clean and in a great spot. We used it as our base to explore the region with a number of amazing hikes. We also enjoyed the creek behind the house, the lake close by and so much more. Hope to be back soon... Thanks!

The perfect cozy cabin
This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It was well stocked with everything we needed and more. Lots of things to do outside such as bike riding or badminton or just sit by the stream in backyard. We enjoyed grilling out even for breakfast with the cast iron griddle provided. It was a wonderful getaway.

Peaceful and quite
We had an amazing visit. Loved sitting outside and listen to the river. Nearly every night it was cool enough to have an outside fire. The property owner was amazing with a quick fix when we locked ourselves out of the cabin.

So Fun!
We had a very fun and relaxing time at the cabin. Everything was very thought through with the provisions....right down to the mosquito spray and flashlights! We loved seeing deer every day, including a doe with a small fawn!!! Our boys LOVED trying to catch trout in the backyard stream, and I loved sitting on the yard chairs with the sound of the stream and the fresh smell of pines! Our kids asked if we could come back to this cabin next year again! Thanks for a wonderful getaway!!!

Awesome cabin
The family really enjoyed the stay. The creek that runs behind the cabin was great. We loved sitting outside with the firepit and just listening to creek. Most of the days you could see deer out by the creek in the morning. I really recommend this place!!!

Quiet and exactly what we were hoping for
We loved staying at this mountain retreat! it was so quiet and so relaxing. I especially loved laying in bed with the windows open and listening to the creek as I drifted off to sleep. Plenty of space to park our 4x4s and excellent nearby 4x4 trails. It was a perfect vacation!

Just Perfect!
The cabin is a true winner! We traveled as a family of 4- 2 & 11 yrs children for a week in June. The owners have thought of EVERYTHING.......fishing poles, bikes, fire pit grill, out door games & etc. Not to mention the personal touches inside. Even a new mayonnaise & ketchup in the fridge. The cabin was very clean, safe and cozy. By far a family way to settle for a vacation in the mountains of Colorado! We plan to come back next year!

Absolutely wonderful cabin & property!
We stayed with our in-laws and two small children (3&5), and absolutely loved the charm and character of the cabin! Our kids loved the treehouse and volleyball court, and when we had a bit of rain we all enjoyed watching a DVD in the cozy but spacious living room. Thank you again so much, we can't wait for our next visit to Colorado!

Kids will have a ball!
My daughter and I along with her three sons stayed in the cabin for 9 days. The boys loved the creek, sliding down the treehouse fireman’s pole, and the x-box (after dark). My daughter and I loved the tranquility, the homeiness of the cabin, and that it was fully stocked. All we had to provide was our food. The cabin is quaint and comfortable. Owners were so helpful if we had a question. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay!

Amazing Solitude
The cabin was amazing. My 9 & 10 year old boys loved the tree house, bikes, creek, volleyball court and all the outdoor games that were available. Wife and I enjoyed the peace and quiet, sitting out in the Adirondack chairs over looking the creek enjoying cocktails and grilling. The cabin was clean and had everything you will need. The boys enjoyed having their own upstairs and loved the secret passageway (walk through closet) The near by town (2 miles from cabin) has 3 restaurants, liquor store and a general store that came in handy. We rented a boat at the harbor one morning and ate lunch at the restaurant at the harbor, food was great. There are a ton of trails just a few feet or miles from the house that we hiked everyday. If your looking for a cabin to just unplug and not drive all around for things to do this is the place to stay. We are already planning the next time we can come back. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.
