We were first time visitors to Hawaii and the craziness of Wakiki and Whaler's Village didn't appeal to us. We wanted an active vacation exploring the islands and a quiet place to land when we weren't adventuring. Boy was this spot ever a dream come true. The location of the property is in a very safe gated community. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The home itself is spotless, spacious, and well appointed. Ken and his wife are the caretakers and they do an absolutely amazing job. We couldn't have asked for a better property to stay at. We will be back next year! This home was lovely. My family and I (3 kids, grandparents and me and my husband) stayed for 3 weeks. The rooms are laid out so everyone has privacy. We loved the open floor format of the common areas. The kitchen had everything for cooking and baking, and the extra fridge was a bonus for our large group to keep drinks cold. The kids loved the pool and used the pool tools located in the grage. There we plenty of beach towels (in the laundry room) that came in handy, as well as beach chairs, boogie boads, portable cooler and an umbrella (in the garage) to use at the beach. Access to the garage for parking our car was a bonus. The location of the home is perfect. Just 5 mins away from a KTA grocery and some restaurants at the bottom of the hill (we tried the pizza, bbq and shaved ice places and all were fantastic!), 15 mins from other shopping off route 11 and Ali'i drive, and it was easy to get to other areas around the island for hiking, snorkeling, surfing and the harbor for a big game fishing charter. Ken, the property owner, was very helpful and was prompt to answer any questions. The neighborhood is beautifully kept and is wonderful to walk through, the view and sunsets every evening were stunning from the pool patio. We truly loved this home and it made for a very memorable vaction!

The property is very spacious, gorgeous views, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need, the beds are comfortable and decor is very nice. This worked very well for days my parents just wanted to rest. Much better then a condo or motel room. Pool & Spa were fantastic. I would happily rent this house again in the future....id love to buy the lot next door and build my own home.

Great place to stay with everything we needed. Kitchen is fully stocked including an amazing coffee bar with every possible way to make coffee you can imagine! Really appreciated that the owner gives you access to the garage so you can park inside. The house is spotless and even has extra refrigerator/freezer space for all your supplies.

This home was much more then I expected. The views are breathtaking from every window. The home is luxurious, comfortable and very easy to enjoy. All three bedrooms are private suites and away from each other for separate space. Beach and pool supplies are provided. The pool and spa are refreshing with awesome sunset views. Mahalo

The location has fantastic views and is very quiet. Communication with the owner and manager was quick amd easy. I have already recommended this home to a work colleague.

We had the most wonderful time at this property in paradise. This home was located in a quiet, gated community. Very secure and quiet. There is an empty lot on one side and full, unobstructed views in the back, towards the ocean. There were some different guests staying at the house on the other side - we could not see them, but we could occasionally hear them. Some calming music through our speaker blocked the sound out. We stayed at this property for a month, enjoying the sunset every evening from the patio or the kitchen & dining table. Almost every spot in this home has a view. There is so much room throughout the property to spread out, with comfortable chairs in every room. The kitchen was fully stocked with so many things - including spices. Maybe a few more plates & cutlery settings would have been nice, considering that there is a large dishwasher & dining table for 10. There are several fridges throughout the property & we used one just for cold treats. There were a number of coffee makers-the only hard part was deciding which one to enjoy! A starter kit was provided of k-cups for the Keurig. In addition, there were starter items of toilet paper & toiletries. There were full supplies of dishwashing, washing detergent, trash bags, storage containers, hand soap & paper towels. We went shopping at Costco. There is also a KTA grocery store, Longs Drugstore, Safeway, Target & Walmart nearby. There were plenty of towels provided, including big fluffy beach/pool towels. Communication was great with the owner, Michael -from the beginning to the end. Some brand new a/c units were installed during our stay - a/c was mandatory during July! Ken, the property manager assisted in making this a smooth process. The entire house was spotless when we arrived. Plush carpeting in the bedrooms. There were some dated items throughout the house-including some bathroom fixtures - and some brand new items, including a brand new tv which we never ended up watching. The internet was intermittent, but we bought some phone plans with data and used that when the internet was slow or not working. I don’t believe the pool had a heater, but was warm any time - first thing in the morning, the middle of the afternoon & the evening.. The spa is heated & jetted. Above all, the views from this property were absolutely breathtaking! We never wanted to leave. Several things to do near & far: Hapuna Beach, Old Kona Airport, markets…. Enjoy your stay in this PARADISE!!!

This property is exactly as stated. The unique floor plan gives quiet and privacy to each of the three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which is exactly what is needed. We spent every evening watching rhe sunset from the pool deck. Wonderful home!

We could not have picked a better vacation rental for our last trip to Hawai’i. This home was very clean and spacious with high end touches throughout this palatial gem. With 2 adults, 2 seniors and 2 children staying there, we all had our own private spaces and could retreat whenever we needed a break. The sweeping views of the Kona coast with the private pool and spa, is unmatched by any hotel or resort. The kitchen was generously stocked with everything one could need to make a gourmet meal, including a cappuccino machine. Ken Lundy (the property manager) was quick to respond with all of our requests and truly made us feel right at home. Ken has the true spirit of “Aloha” and his customer service was impeccable. He even sent a tech right over on Memorial Day when the internet went out. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and found it very hard to leave. Out of all of the vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed at, this one is definitely our family favorite!

This place is such a price performer what with the space, the distance between bedrooms and, most especially, the view!! A word of warning, if you are reliant on wi-fi, this place has one of the worst response times for wi-fi that I have experienced when renting and repeatedly had to be restarted. But, if you don't need wi-fi, I can't think of a better place to stay for the money.

The house was amazing and in a great location. Very spacious and clean. Everything was provided including boogie boards, beach chairs, an umbrella, cooler, and pool floats. The pool was not heated but was warm. The view is amazing and it is a short drive to town and a small store area is just down the hill with a grocery store, pharmacy, and restaurants.

Would you like to sit in a hot tub with a spectacular view of the sunset while listening to the birds sing? If so, do yourself a favor and rent this house. This house is absolutely beautiful, clean, and well maintained, and the community is safe, friendly, and quiet. It's perfect for a relaxing vacation close to Kona and local shopping without sacrificing privacy or serenity. I can't wait to come back.

One feature of this house exceeded our expectations, the outdoor/pool area. It really does have a180 degree unobstructed view of the ocean where we watched the sunset every night of our stay. The pool is large and the hot tub was big enough for four people to sit comfortably. The house sits high on a hill and catches the tropical breezes coming off the ocean. We rarely had to use the air conditioning even though the temperatures in town were 80 degrees or higher. There are 7 comfortable chaise lounges, a couch and 2 chairs and a table with an umbrella that sits 4 people. This is where we spent the majority of our time when we were at the house. Some of the things we loved were: Huge kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans, prep space, storage, coffee makers, great blender and to our surprise, two refrigerators! Plenty of towels for both inside and outside. Soft sheets and comfortable beds. State of the are washer and dryer. The property manager, Ken, was very responsive and very helpful. We never felt neglected. Some of the things that would have made our stay a 5 star plus: TV connected to the internet. Bigger TV. I highly recommend this property and will book again. .

This is a large home in Keauhou Estates, a gated community about 15 minutes drive south of downtown Kona. It sits at the edge of a hillside high enough to provide a 180+ degree, unobstructed view of the ocean and a peek-a-boo view of downtown Kona. Views of the sunsets across the poo; are spectacular. On arrival, it was very clean and the air conditioner (which was essential) kept it cool and comfortable. Furniture is ample and comfortable with the only downside being a queen vs. king bed in the master BR (but it was a comfortable mattress). The kitchen is very well appointed with pretty much everything needed to cook any meal. Several coffee making options are available like espresso machine and coffee pods. The spacious dining table can comfortably seat 8 adults with room to spare. There are a couple issues that keep the house a step away from perfection. Upon arrival, there were several electrical glitches where some ceiling fans, outlets and hot tub jets didn't work. We spoke to Ken, the property manager and he (and the owner) was very responsive and was able to arrange most of the things getting fixed within a day or so - but not all. One ceiling fan and at least one outlet never worked. The other main issue was the lack of water pressure in some areas - particularly the kitchen and master bath. The large, walk-in shower was beautiful, but even with two shower heads, it took a relatively long time to rinse soap/ shampoo off - very low water flow. Odd thing was that the sink adjacent to the shower had massive water flow. Although they have been well maintained over the last 30 years or so, some of the built-ins like sinks, toilets and the like are dated and lack modern conveniences. All things considered, if we were to return to the Kona area, this place would be near the top of our list of potential places to stay.

This property had everything in the listing description and more. Photos don't quite do it justice - the panoramic views from the backyard are among the best we'd ever experienced, and the interior is much larger than we expected. Our family of 7 had no trouble spreading out. The unit came fully stocked with everything we could ever want from a rental house including snorkel gear, boogie boards, and more. Communication was top notch - all questions were answered within 30 minutes via chat. Overall I'd highly recommend this place and we'd absolutely stay here again.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and as usual it is the best out of all of our visits to Kona. We love the convenience of the location. The owner is communicative and friendly and responds quickly to any questions you might have. EXCELLENT!!

This home is laid out perfectly for a family or even up to 3 couples. Each room has its own bathroom and set apart from the others. The pool was so refreshing and pristine. The property manager, Ken, was extremely helpful and made our stay very welcoming. I would highly recommend coming here!

We have stayed at many properties for our office retreat but this one is absolutely the best. There were 7 adults that used this property for our yearly bonding and our ages ranged from 30 to 68 and we had more than enough space. Thank you for the memories.

Absolutely Awesome Property, we would return in a heartbeat!!! The layout of the home is perfect for families or friends. We were there with 6 adults and one small child. The location of the bedrooms with their own ensuites, allows everyone to enjoy their own private space. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, the outdoor space is incredible. The combination of the view, pool, hot tub, privacy and security of the property will make it hard to go anywhere else! Our only comment would be the BBQ needs replacing as the grates are worn out and the Refrigerator was difficult to regulate and did freeze some of our food. Overall our experience was absolutely fabulous and we would highly recommend this property. Trudy

Michael’s place was great, the outside area is fantastic. We had a great stay with no problems.

This is a beautiful house and was accurately depicted in the write up. Large home can easily accommodate a large family or several couples. The owner and the overseer were very easy to work with and were most accommodating. However, the one drawback of the house was the condition of the kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances. While they were top of the line at the time most are showing their age or not working properly. Some have already been updated such as the sub-zero refrigerator. The AC in the master BR was not working when we called the overseer from the airport to notify him of our arrival. He was actually at the house with a repairman to fix the AC when we called. To his credit it was working when we arrived although the temp was still sitting at 80 with not enough time having elapsed for it to cool down. Later in our stay the dishwasher broke and had to be replaced. It was old and probably should have been replaced already. Again the overseer had a new dishwasher installed that day while we were out. At the same time as the dishwasher broke the sink beside it which already had thin cracks in it started leaking completely through the sink. Again, the overseer saved the day by sealing the cracks which needed 24-48 hours to properly dry. The kitchen sink is a good example of the condition of virtually all of the sinks, tubs, etc. They show their age with their surfaces faded or stained or cracked just from use over the years. The same is true of most of the fixtures in the baths and kitchen. I want to repeat that this house is extremely desirable with a price tag of its value reflecting what a great house it is in a great neighborhood in a great location. While the things I have mentioned were a nuisance they could have been much worse and will eventually be just that unless the fixtures and appliances that haven't been updated are brought up to the quality of the rest of the house. One last thing about our stay. The neighbor immediately beside the house had company that along with him was very loud. They kept their windows open and yelled at one another from room to room which was impossible to avoid hearing. This was the same house who called a roofer to come and repair several spots on the roof which took a couple of days. Understandable but unfortunately the roofer was at the apex of the house and clearly viewed the back yard and swimming pool we were using. Since privacy was desired this was discomforting at best.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, well maintained and just a awesome view. Loved the pool and hot tub. Woke up in the morning and loved the view from the master room. Also loved how near the stores, restaurant and beaches are. We defiantly stay here again.

My family of five just arrived home last night, only to wake-up homesick for this incredible house we stayed in for the past week. The VRBO listing doesn't even capture half of what this house has to offer! It was so clean, incredibly comfortable for everyone in our family, and the location of the house with the views was like nothing we have ever experienced. We took pictures of the sunsets every night- no two are alike and all are as equally beautiful. The way the house is set just above the ocean makes it hard to do anything else there but just soak in the views from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed after star gazing. The house itself is located in a private and very well protected neighborhood- first class all the way. We saw maybe 5 cars driving in the neighborhood all week; it was so quiet and the lot is very private. The owner was responsive and very kind from the moment we inquired about this property until the last email sent before we got on the plane. Boogie boards and a cooler for the beach are available. The house comes with everything you will ever need/want. I guarantee this house will not disappoint. If you need a relaxing vacation in a clean and beautiful environment, this is it. (Also, it should be noted that there is a nice shopping village and a gas station just down the hill from the house. Very convenient!) Best VRBO find for us so far!

Breathtaking views of the ocean! Outdoor/backyard space was awesome! Couldn't have asked for anything more! Inside was also fabulous! Bedroom set up was great for our needs. With a bathroom attached to each bedroom, it was like having three master suites. House was stocked with everything you could think of.. and more. Only negative was that the kitchen appliances were quite outdated... but who cares! You're in Hawaii... and everything worked and functioned correctly. Neighborhood was safe and secure.... felt comfortable going for a walk/jog in the morning. Loved our stay! Would come back in a heartbeat!

Will not disappoint! Hosts are easy to work with and all the furniture is comfy! Large groups no problem! Everyone has their space! Beds are great! Bathrooms are plentiful! Your own pool and hot tub!!!!
