Nichts :)

Delicious breakfast and dinner, both Carolina and Pepe are excellent cooks as well as gracious hosts.
It is hard to find and is off the radar of GPS routing. Maybe there could be a sign or two along the road or a clearer map included in the reservation confirmation. The owners had mentioned this in an email, but it would have been better to have a map to refer to.

Everything was great: the location, the facilities, the calmness and the hosts.
Great breakfast and dinner too.
Some reviews say that the road to the property is really rough but we had no issues accessing it with a small rental car, the directions provided were clear too
It was a new experience not having doors between the toilet and the room and not having sound-isolating windows, but we got used to it after a bit.

Amazing smoothie for breakfast.
Good location in nature.
Cleaned and confortable room.
Relaxed athmosphere.
Slight lack of privacy given that the window of the room didnt close.
Lack of AC.

Breakfast was delicious and filling. The dining room is a pleasant, open-air space that was cool and breezy and also homey.
The rooms were beautiful, simple but well furnished and situated with mosquito netting over all doors and windows that was in good shape and allowed for a pleasant breeze and no bugs. It IS the jungle, though, so there are bugs around. We woke up gently to the sounds of birds. It is very quiet there.
We only dipped our toes in the pool, but it was cool and refreshing to have nearby.
The hosts were very friendly, relaxed, and accommodating. They really wanted you to be comfortable, have a good time, and enjoy the area around them and by the sea.
VerdeAmar was a surprising little gem to find, I wish we had had more time to stay and enjoy it and the area.
The only surprise was the drive in - it is a ways inland on a very rough road. Excellent directions are provided to reach the hotel, but even with them, we questioned if we were going the right way as the road up to the hotel is very, very rustic. It was doable in a regular sedan, however, as long as we went slow and were cautious. Do not use Google Maps to find it!

+ Great jungle experience
+ Nice design of the garden, pool and breakfast area
+ friendliest hosts of our entire trip
+ tasty food (breakfast and dinner)
+ relaxing hammocks, day beds and deck chairs
+ ecological approach (natural products, waste sorting etc.)
- The rooms are quite small
(-) there is not much privacy (no bathroom door, windows without glass), this bothered us not much but it might bother people that are not used to that

Everything was exceptional, except I would love to be aware before that it was deep in the jungle and the road is almost non-existent and no signs. I would not advise check-in in late, though I appreciate we were met and allowed to check-in very late in the night. The room is amazing, the territory of the lodge is so beautiful and well taken care of. We took breakfast 2 times and it was exceptional and really good value for money. Also the dogs <3 And the atmosphere is magical!! Stay longer! My partner was not a fan the first day, but at the end of the stay he fell in love with it <3 Thank you!
Very bad bumpy jungle road and no signs. Just be aware, it is still worth it. Not a place to be too noisy

I spend a week in this incredible place in the middle of the jungle. Perfect escape from noise and stress.
Everything was perfect, Peppe and Caro, really make you feel home, they will take care of you like an old friends.
Peppe I also a great cook, great selection for breakfast and it’s so nice having dinner at candle light with the sound of the nature.
Caro does massages and I had one of the best in my life
I wish I could stay longer, I wish to go back :)
everything was perfect

Beautiful and serine property away from the hustle of Tulum but close enough to explore all of the sights. Very well cared for and thoughtfully designed spaces. Amazing food! Pepe and Caro were wonderful hosts. Caro is a masseuse and I highly recommend booking a hour with her!
It was perfect.

The warmth and attention that Pepe and Caro have with you, always ready to help you. In addition, their home and pets make your stay very pleasant. The area is very safe and peaceful, the sound of nature helps you relax from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We firt stayed 3 nights in this wonderful place, in the native jungle. We enjoyed so much that we decided to stay 3 more nights. The owners were very nice and helpfull people, they gave us all the information that we needed to enjoy the Riviera Maya. The room was well designed, clean and free of any insect inside. They was a safe-deposit box in our room where we kept our passports.
It is not a negative point but you need to consider that Verdeamar may not be easy to access without a car due to its location in the jungle. There are few activities around and you will need to go to Chemuyil villlage (less than10 minutes by car) if you want to find some night atmosphere and good restaurant. There are some free Cenotes that worth a visit around, just ask People how to get there.

Lovely little B&B tucked into the jungle with beautiful gardens, a great pool and very friendly doggos! Run by a really wonderful couple who were very helpful and accomodating (and great cooks!) - walking distance to a beautiful cenote and a quick drive into town.
Quite hard to find so some signs along the road would be helpful! Also not a great place to come unless you have your own car because it's quite a long walk back into town and the mosquitos are brutal!

Location was wonderful. Facilities and room was very nice. Beautiful property. Such a beautifully created and maintained place. Working in the hospitality business myself I could tell that Pepe and Caro also know the business.
Such a beautiful place, would have been an amazing stay if I had felt welcomed. Unfortunately I think we all felt relieved on my departure.

Kind hosts. Great home cooked food. Located within the jungle away from traffic.
Was about a 25 min to/from Tulum. Needed some signs along unnamed road to find the property.

Everything about this place is amazing. From the hosts which are very kind and helpful to the location being in the middle of the jungle. The perfect spot to chill and disconnect from the world. Very clean and beautiful. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and everything was super delicious. Higlhy recommend!

The place is perfect for people who like silence and don’t mind a bumpy drive. With only two rooms available for now, a beautiful garden and nice little pool, it is a perfect, almost private, place to relax and enjoy. Obviously, the location is remote, the road goes through the jungle, is not paved, and has some holes. It’s not a problem, but one should be aware that driving will be required to get anywhere, except for food as the breakfast and dinner Peppe and Carolina offer is very good. We had a wonderful time.
One thing that might not be for everyone is the very open bathroom which does not have a door to the sleeping area.

Amazing cabin in the jungle where you can get away from the city. So stress less and wonderful to just be able to disconnect.
A bit difficult to find (even for the taxi) but with help from Pepe the host we got there

This is small secluded off the grid property in the jungle, off off a dirt road, so if you are looking for a big noisy resort - it's not for you. Run by a lovely couple who are obliging and hospitable, but not intrusive. The setting is such that you feel like a guest in their home . Everything is well thought out - for example, there are power points on both sides of the bed and there is a warm blanket for cold nights (yes, it gets cold in the jungle). Wifi is good especially if you consider the setting, no TVs.
The room closest to the dining area can get a bit noisy in the evenings, but always quiet after 10pm.

Amazing room far from every tourism, busy streets and neighbors. Very quiet, very comfy bed. Super clean room. They even had warm water. 😍
There are two dogs around, just as an information for anyone who's afraid of dogs.
It was a little bit deeper in the jungle and away from any neighbors than we expected. You have to drive 5-10min through jungle and dirt road. The next neighbor is far away. So when both hosts are out of the house, it might feel a bit awkward if it's your first time in Mexico.

Quiet place in the middle of a jungle with super kind friendly and helpful hosts :) Tasty and fresh breakfast is a good way to start the day. If you want to eat something for a dinner, Peppe is really good cook specializing in Italian cuisine. I recommend this place for couples who want to spend their time away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Amazing hosts, thank you to both of you for a wonderful stay.
The place is very nice, in the middle of the jungle as expected, the room is comfy.
Don’t get scared by the gravel road leading there! Even a smaller car can do it if you are a confident driver.

I can recommend this absolutely amazing hotel to everyone! It is such a nice place to relaxe and it’s even more beautiful than on the pictures. The breakfast was really good (mostly homemade) and also smoothies and dinner was fantastic. Caro gives the best massage I ever had, so if you stay here you should definitely book her. Price is really good! Placed in the middle of the Mexican dry jungle you can rest and just chill!
All perfect

The staying was amazing . The bed was incredible comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic . Is a nice place inside a little jungle. For who likes to be in peace was very nice. And also with the location you can explore the beaches and cenotes outside tulum town. Just try to arrive with they light cause the access is not so easy.

A nice hideaway in the jungle with very friendly hosts. Comfortable, clean and relaxing. Fresh tasty food made with love will be prepared on demand. The place is a little bit tricky to find because of no signs and a narrow road in the forest. Would love to stay again.

Place is beautiful, peaceful, quiet, they have only two rooms. It’s eco project and they are protecting the nature still giving you a perfect service. Just 3km is beautiful beach, without tourists. If you wanna avoid tourists this is your place.
WiFi is not perfect, for msg is good.
You definitely need a car or bike.
Toilet should be maybe a bit separated somehow from room.

I was really happy about my decision to stay with Carolina and Peppe in the forrest. I've been hoping for a tranquile and secluded spot to relax and to get rid of the crazy hastle of Tulum which I am not really made for. And this is exactly what I have got. I very much enjoyed the beautiful garden, the refreshing pool and the super comfy cabana. The two have a great sense for design and it's the details that make everything here special. Due to bad weather conditions I couldn't make it a day earlier to VerdeAmar, which is a major bummer, as otherwise I would have gladly decided to stay a night longer. If you are looking for a great retreat somewhere away from the masses you should definitely go here!
Big plus: Peppe is a great chef and prepares delicious Italian/Fusion meals with a well-appreciated emphasis on seafood and fish. Yummy! And then there comes Carolina with her artisan homemade bread... Really good stuff, I gotta tell.
First of all: There was nothing I didn't like. If you are looking for anything to criticise or to be aware of, then maybe the following points might be considerated:
- this place is so secluded, you won't get happy if you are either looking for party and lots of people or you rely on public transport. I really wouldn't want to miss my own car (rental), when I'll be coming the next time
- Wifi is existent but weak, but let's be honest, VerdeAmar is a great place to disconnect
