We loved our stay and time at the lake cottage. Views were incredible and so relaxing. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Would like to go back in the summer .

Camp Rocky Top was everything described by Marie and Peter. The location, was a bit out of the way for our grandchildren to enjoy the lake , but we still had a great family experience. The camp itself was clean and a very peaceful location. Marie and Peter were around if needed and made sure we were comfortable. Thank you both for a memorable family vacation. The Howe Family

Everything was as described and we had a great time. We had everything we needed because of the communication before hand. The one upgrade that could be done would be a window unit ac. During the day it would get warm in there but That is 90 percent of the camps there. All in all it was a great place.

Marie's cabin is exactly like pictured, with all the amenities for a secluded getaway surrounded by beautiful nature.
My partner and I stayed a week here during the peak of fall foliage. It was so peaceful and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. We warmed up by the firepit, gazed at the Milkyway, made use of the canoe that's provided, and enjoyed many peaceful morning coffees at the lakeside dock. The cabin is situated at the end of a dirt road so there is zero traffic or noise. The lake definitely elevates the cabin to the next level, it was so beautiful especially with the fall colors; you can see it from the front deck, can walk to the water via a stretch of stairs and a dirt path. There is a small state park at the other side of the lake that was perfect for a walk or bike ride.
The cabin itself was very cozy, with cabin-esque decorations throughout, and all the amenities for cooking and relaxing. There is no cell phone signal nearby (Sprint or AT&T), but the cabin has good wifi to support remote working, video calls, etc. We'd love to come back in the future and soak up the beautiful VT scenery.

We had a great time at the lake. The house was cozy and well appointed. It is a short walk down to the lake and the water is clean and warm for swimming off the dock. We enjoyed using the floats provided but did find the kayak was difficult to get into the water. The owners were responsive and friendly. We enjoyed grilling our meals and fires in the backyard fire pit at night. The house could be improved with a washer, drier and some window AC units as the house can get very hot on the hottest summer days (there are plenty of fans though.) The area is a bit remote but there is a convenience store that serves food and ice cream on the lake. Overall, a great stay.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week stay ay Camp Rockytop. Perched on a hill above the lake, this cottage and its yard provides a quiet, secluded place to enjoy Lake St. Catherine. While the steps up and down the hill provide a bit of a workout, they also add charm! The swimming area was great == there is plenty of morning sun for early risers because the dock faces East. My son caught a 27" Brown Trout just offshore which made his vacation! Thank you for sharing your cottage and waterfront with us!

A Lake Oasis
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week stay ay Camp Rockytop. Perched on a hill above the lake, this cottage and its yard provides a quiet, secluded place to enjoy Lake St. Catherine. Wonderful stay!

Wonderful getaway
Beautiful home with amazing views of the lake. Inside was clean and comfy - I could see staying here in the summer and swimming, kayaking, etc. But staying here when the weather is cold is also wonderful! We had a great time, relaxing and staying cozy inside the house. Definitely will be returning!

We came here to see the foliage and also to get away from everything. The house is in a nice remote location, very private with no one in the back. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. You get a nice view of the lake from the front of the house and front deck . Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed our time.

Can’t Wait to Return
The cottage was exactly what we were hoping for and more! My family loved the view and access to the lake. We jumped off the dock every day and played in the refreshing water. The cottage was bigger than we expected and there was ample room for everyone. We loved the setting and went on a wonderful hike recommended to us by the owners who were lovely and accommodating. Our teen kids loved a day trip to the Adventure Center at Killington and a local ATV ride. We are excited to return next summer!

I’ll begin by saying that the check in process was simple and the owners were quick to respond. Everything else went downhill from there. We arrived at a set of stairs that have to be 20-30 feet high that have the house number on them. My wife and I couldn’t believe it, we were then met by the owners who said to follow them up the road which goes up and around to the house. We were then told that we could drive the car down to the bottom of the stairs and leave it there while we were at the water. It’s either that or walk down and then climb back up the stairs. The stairs and their length/height were not shown or described in the listing. Also there was really no view of the lake as this “lakefront” house is actually behind the actual lakefront homes. We never would have rented this place had we been able to see actual pictures of the stairs and views from house. Needless to say we made it until Tuesday and packed up and left 5 days early. The ad was deceptive and should include a picture of those stairs and “view”. If those were included in the listing we never would have rented it.

Relaxing Week at Rockytop
We just spent a most relaxing and battery-recharging week at Camp Rockytop on Lake Saint Catherine! What was a typical day like: coffee on the deck with a calming view of the morning sun on the lake, then a swim, followed by a bike ride, followed by another swim, followed by a kayak ride, followed by another swim... you get the idea :-). The house is very comfortable and so wonderfully private and quiet. The owners (Marie and Peter) were so friendly and helpful -- they made sure we were comfortable and gave us some good tips (like a great hike on the other side of the lake). This is a great spot if you want to unwind, breathe in the country air, and enjoy lots of lake-related fun!

Lake house vacation
My sons and I were looking for a local getaway since we couldn’t travel too far because of COVID-19. I found this wonderful and private lakeside property through a friend which was listed on Vrbo. The owner was very helpful, responsive, and friendly too. The house was very clean, nicely furnished, and had all the amenities we were looking for. We had a great week and hope to return!

Relaxing peaceful week!!
We have rented lake properties many times in the past and this was by far the cleanest ever!! Beautiful spacious home in a very private secluded dead end road. The deck outside the living room provides a perfect place for morning coffee and to watch the lake “come to life “!! Our hostess, Marie, was very responsive and gave us detailed information about the camp before we checked in. The stairs to the lake are rather daunting, but you can always drive down and park at the bottom and walk to the lake. We had a wonderful week!!

Beautiful and peaceful place
We loved our stay at rocky top, the property was very well maintained and decorated. We enjoyed our days of going down to the lake using the canoe and kayak. Long days of swimming and then coming back for a nice dinner and then a nice fire with roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. The only thing that was a bit of a challenge was the walk to the lake. The stars where not something that my wife and I could do easily So my wife and I drove down and parked at the bottom.

Summer in Vermont
The house was lovely and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The owner went out of her way to communicate and answer my questions. The lake was wonderful and the views were breathtaking.
We had privacy and quiet. The house was at the very end of a private road. It was immaculately clean. The kitchen was well stocked. Everything was very comfortable. It would have been nice to have laundry facilities but the listing was very clear that it did not have them.
My only complaint would be that I didn’t think it was clear that the lake was not immediately behind the house. I thought the dock and lake were in the back of the house. The listing indicates it is lakeside. There is a very steep staircase down to the road and a little steep climb down even from there to the dock. It was a deterrent to how often we used the lake. If you had any mobility issues it would not be doable. However once we were there the lake was lovely and we enjoyed the use of the rafts, canoe and kayak. Swimming in the lake was very nice.

Amazing lake, Amazing Rental!
We absolutely loved our stay at Rockytop! Lake Saint Catherine is one of the most beautiful lakes ever! We have been renting through VRBO for the past 15 years and this is by far our favorite property. Marie and Peter were so incredibly helpful and kind! We highly recommend this property. A+++++!

Great camp for Vermont lakeside vacation
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this rental. The house was as described and very clean upon arrival. There was a nice yard, two decks and room to spread out. We enjoyed the dock and the lake with our boat. We even spotted a Barred owl one evening! The owners were super friendly and helped us with any questions we had.

Relaxing and fun
Had a lovely time at Rocky Top Camp with a week of glorious weather! The house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being at the very end of the road for privacy! There were several decks to choose from and a large kitchen with plenty of cabinet space! Was disappointed that the house wasn't right on the lake - (there is a row of houses between the house and the lake) across the road. I assumed differently when looking at pictures of the property and dock on the site - but the description does say 'across the road' so my error. Also, the private dock that comes with the cabin is nice but very close to the next door neighbors dock. We are avid kayakers and brought our own and places to keep them for easy access to the water was a little hard with the space. Marie and her husband were lovely and very responsive - answered all of our questions -and keep the place up nicely! Hard to not have a good time there!

Loved our week at Rockytop. Home is spacious and comfortable, all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay.
Peter and Marie are gracious hosts and nearby to address any issues. (We did not have any)
Water access is a walk, could be challenging for little ones or those with difficulty walking.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay next year.

Relaxing Getaway
Just what we were looking for! Very well-kept cabin with easy access to the lake. Marie & Peter (the property owners) were very responsive - Marie provided detailed information and directions to make sure we didn't get lost as we were arriving late at night. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essential implements. Having a canoe and kayak provided for our use was excellent. Thanks so much for a great place!

Perfect lakeside vacation
My husband, our 6 years old daughter and I stayed at Camp Rocytop from August 19th to 26th and loved every minute of it. We have fantastic vacation in this beautiful place. Marie and Peter are great hosts. The house is well kept and specious with open living room and dining room area. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the front deck with a great view on Lake St. Catherine – so relaxing, perfect way to start a day. Private access to lake, canoe and kayak, crystal clear water, beautiful view, fishes, eagle (actually we saw two of them) everything was just perfect. Marie and Peter thank you so much and hopefully see you next year. Dorota, Jan and Julia.

Great vacation
Had a great time at Camp Rockytop! The house was immaculate and homeowners were very friendly! We really wanted a house right on the water but it actually worked out better for us to stay here. The yard was great for the kids to run around!

Our stay at Rockytop was fantastic. The house with a view of Lake Saint Catherine is beautiful.
Marie and Peter are great hosts. They were extremely accommodating and responsive.The house was comfortable and spacious. We cooked in most nights and had everything we needed at the house. We enjoyed swimming off the dock and using the kayak and canoe to explore the lake. The view of the mountains from the dock was breathtaking.
