We had a great time

The house was perfect for our family; our daughter and her family and us. The house was spotless, the rooms spacious, quality towels, kitchen well supplied. We needed some flexibility with our dates and Joan was wonderful to work with. The outdoor space was great for walking our daughter's dog. The location was perfect for visiting other family in the Madison area. We will definitely plan to stay here again when we are in the Madison area. I highly recommend it, but know that in doing so, it may not be available when we want to book it again in the future. We have stayed in VRBO's in Hawaii, D.C. and internationally, I would rank this as one of the best!

Was a short drive to visit family in Madison. Joan was a GREAT hostess. There were lots of veggies in the garden, fresh fruit from the trees, and the knowledge she shared about gardening was amazing. Our grandkids had lots of room to run and play. House layout was very functional for those that did some remote work, needed a rest, or just relaxing and visiting on back deck.

We stayed here while our floors were being refinished. The house was clean and peaceful, which was just what we needed. There is a perfect work from home set up that allows for views of the prairie, and we made ratattouille with the veggies from the garden. It's far out, but I was able to get to work on the northside within 30 minutes. We would definitely stay here again!

Spent a few nights here while enjoying family gatherings in Madison. Enjoyed the home and property and garden!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Joan was a gracious and attentive host providing fresh veggies, fresh eggs and great recommendations for eating. We were able to bring our large dog which is one of the primary reasons we selected this place. The house is well equipped with everything you need. The drive to Madison is quick and easy too. Though the house is close to the road, it is very quiet and peaceful. We were able to enjoy the tranquility while sitting on the back deck watching the night sky. There are trails close by for running or biking too. Though we had a packed agenda, we found ourselves wishing we had extra time to just relax and enjoy the peace of the location. Will definitely stay here again.

This home was everything and more that we could have asked for. The layout was perfect. The beds are extremely comfortable! We were there for a sibling family reunion. The host, Joanie, was friendly and hospitable. Fresh eggs were a great plus, I think one of our highlights was meeting Oscar! We highy recommend this home to anyone. We're all thinking of reasons to go back. Thanks you to the hosts.

Great location minutes away from downtown Middleton and 15 minutes from Madison. We loved the property, being on a small farm away from the city, but also minutes away. We enjoyed the traditional ranch style home which accommodated 6 of us comfortably. Great place all around.

Loved our stay! Home was simply but comfortably furnished, spacious, clean and so very accommodating! Our hostess was very kind and responsive but did not intrude at all We are already planning a return visit!

This place was a wonderful place to get together with our family and be able to bring our pets. The place is very private and a wonderful place to walk your dog outside. We look forward to coming back. Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying at this property. One of our favorites. The Ziegler’s are excellent hosts.

My family does some pheasant hunting twice per year in Wisconsin, and staying just outside Madison is a perfect location for our stay. This property is beautiful, and it is only 20 minutes from downtown Madison! Clearly the best of both worlds. If you enjoy a rural location which still has access to Madison proper, I highly recommend this property. The hosts were kind and check-in/instructions were clear and simple.

The hosts are very kind. It was a wonderful location as we came up to watch a hockey tournament in Middleton.

This clean, quiet, and well equipped property is an ideal place to stay when visiting our son and family. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen has everything you might need. We cooked a big turkey dinner this time. The nearby dog park is a big plus for our pup. There was a snowstorm and we especially appreciated the attached garage and frequent driveway plowing.

Our family flew in from around the country for a wedding in Madison. This home served as a peaceful place to gather and visit over the wedding weekend. Our dogs loved bounding through the natural prarie and walking on the trails. This was just what we needed. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed. It was very clean and has great sunrise and sunset views. We will definitely stay here again.

Traveled with our 2 daughters and their children and 2 dogs. Kids and dogs really enjoyed the walking paths. We attended our niece’s wedding on Saturday. Wish we had enough time to enjoy the fire pit. House is beautiful and very clean. Will definitely rent again in the future.

Our stay was outstanding in very way. Joan is the consummate host. The house was clean and the furnishings comfortable. She gave us fresh eggs, just picked apples, and produce from her garden. One of the best properties we have ever stayed at with VRBO.

What a gem! Our stay here was PERFECT. Everything was clean and comfortable with all the amenities and space we could need! The home is even more spacious and well laid out than the pictures convey I think! Snagging goodies from the garden and fruit trees, enjoying the farm fresh eggs and strolling along the property were definite highlights! Loved having a good safe yard for kids to run off some energy and a place our dog was welcome too! We’d stay here again on another trip for sure and highly recommend it to others! My one very small ‘meh’ point was that the light bulbs in the lamps were quite bright as I prefer a softer light—not a deal breaker by any means! 🤪

We were attending our 50th high school reunion. This was an ideal place to accommodate all four of us for this occasion. . It was a very easy drive to the events we attended in Madison. This property is located in the peaceful outskirts of Middleton. . Quiet, clean, comfortable, spacious, kitchen had what we needed to make coffee and scrambled eggs. There is a nice patio that faces the countryside and a small airport. The two full bathrooms were perfect for the four of us too. Beds were comfy. There was also a mowed path that was ideal to walk on. I would definitely rent this property again. Everyone enjoyed this property.

The property was located in such a quiet area, yet was only two miles from shopping in Middleton. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want for cooking, and the beds were comfy with soft sheets. (soft!) We enjoyed our girls weekend away and would recommend this location for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Middleton Mtn. Bike trails are excellent!

The space was wonderful inside and out! We couldn’t have had a nicer time and owners were very responsive, kind and generous!

This was a great spot to rest and relax together in the evenings and venture out during the day to see what Madison and surrounding areas have to offer. We're from a small town in SC, so big city spaces were not what we were interested in for our VRBO. It was perfect for us.

3 women friends from 3 different states came to WI for a dog show The house was clean, comfortable and quiet. We kept our dogs crated in our vehicles / garage and did not bring them into the house (not because we couldnt but because its chaotic with dogs that dont know each other) it was really great that we could take our dogs out for long walks on the expansive & remote property to stretch their legs and burn off some energy. The layout of the house worked well, the kitchen was adequate and we did cook a few meals for ourselves. The furniture was simple but comfortable. The beds were comfortable. We used the gas fireplace each evening as we sat in the livingroom and talked. If we are ever back in that area we will book again Thank you for opening your home to us

We enjoyed our family stay while in town for a funeral. Lovely to have the ability to stay together. The home is well located and easy to find and spotless clean. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. It was close to the places we had wanted to see on our family vacay (Henry Vilas Zoo, National Mustard Museum, and Hurts Donut Co.). We also celebrated our granddaughter's 5th birthday together. we were pleasantly surprised with how clean the house was. Beds were comfy. We enjoyed 2 nights with campfires to make pudgie pies,hotdogs and of course, smores. We walked the trail nearby with the dogs. The only drawback was the road you had to walk on to get to the trail from the house was quite busy and cars did not slow down at all whn they saw us walking .(but of course the owners of the VRBO can't help that)Maybe make a simple trail from the house to the actual hiking trail?? Just a thought...Kitchen was well equipped. We were pleasantly surprised to find birthday napkins and plates we could use for our party. Plenty of towels to use in the all the bathrooms. I was a bit surprised that they wanted us to wash the towels since the last VRBO we stayed at did not require this, Guess that is the owner's preference. one big plus is that it was dog friendly, since they are also our family members and we wanted them to be there as well. All in all, it was a very nice place for the family to have some quality time together.

The place isn’t fancy, but if you’re looking at a farm house you’re probably not looking for fancy. It is clean. Everything works. Beds are comfortable. Linens were clean and on excellent condition. Towels were plentiful. If my kids end up at UWM I expect we will stay here again. 5 stars.
