Waterfront Moose Cabin on Lake Colby, Saranac Lake, Deck overlooking Lake Colby
Cette cabine est à quelques pas de notre plage privée sur le lac Colby et a son propre foyer extérieur. Les locataires peuvent utiliser l’un de nos six bateaux: un bateau à rames, 2 kayaks et canoës de taille normale et un kayak de taille enfant. Le lac Colby est connu pour son excellente pêche. Le lac Colby fait partie de la grande communauté du lac Saranac, qui offre de nombreuses attractions touristiques, notamment la randonnée, le ski sur neige, les tyroliennes, le golf et une cuisine délicieuse. Cette cabine est également à deux minutes à pied de la plage publique et de la rampe de mise à l'eau.
La cabine se trouve à 5 minutes en voiture du mont Pisgah, où amis et famille peuvent pratiquer le ski alpin et le snowboard.

Le village de Saranac Lake abrite de superbes restaurants, pubs et cafés. Colby Cabins est à environ 1 mile du mont. Pisgah, où toute la famille peut pratiquer le ski alpin, le tubing et le snowboard. Le lac Saranac est entouré de sentiers de randonnée parmi les plus pittoresques de la côte est. Le lac Colby est connu pour son excellente pêche à la truite arc-en-ciel et brune, au saumon, à l'achigan à grande bouche et à l'achigan à petite bouche. Des moteurs de 10 CV maximum peuvent être utilisés sur ce lac.

Amazing cottage, wonderful views, listened to a loon every morning. Would definitely return. Close to Lake Placid to finalize wedding plans. Actually bought an oil painting of the rowboat by a dock that reminded us of our view and stay.

We had a lovely 3-day stay. The cabin is beautiful and the pictures represent it well. The picture window overlooking the lake is a glorious way to start a morning, and the deck and fire pit are wonderful ways to take in the lake in a quiet setting. We also enjoyed the beach a short walk away. The location is great- a mile or so outside of town and close to hiking trails. The kitchen was clean and fully outfitted to cook, and we took advantage of that a lot. We’d happily stay again.

Loved everything about this spot. The cabin was warm, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We were able to ride our snowmobiles across Lake Colby to the trail. Great accommodations, gorgeous kitchen, and beautiful views through the huge picture windows. Will definitely book again.

We loved staying at the cabin! It’s exactly as in the pictures. Mesmerizing!! It was an easy check in & check out process. The owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. We look forward to hopefully staying again at the same cabin! ☺️

The cabin was just right…all the supplies you need, all the comfort you need, and all the activities to keep the family entertained. We loved being able to just step outside and enjoy the lake, whether fishing, boating, reading a book in the hammock, or a chilly night time fire. All of the necessities are within a 7-minute drive (groceries, pharmacy supplies, restaurants, gas, etc.), and in just a short 20-minute drive, you can be in Lake Placid. The owners were responsive to our questions and proved clear instructions for check-in and out, as well as clear instructions for how to use everything in the cabin and to access local resources. Would definitely stay again!

We had a nice time in the area. Cabin was well equipped. The view is awesome. You do get a little road noise when sitting outside, but the short distance to the road is nice if you want to do things in the area. Floors do slant, which made it a bit more difficult for my 74 and 83 year old parents. Cabin was a little dusty/cobwebby in the corners, but main areas were very clean and appealing. We loved all the toy and decorative moose in the cabin. (Note: If taxidermy bothers you, this isn't the place for you.)

Very nice property and setting. Kitchen was well appointment with exceptional appliances. The carpeting throughout the house should be replaced and the master bath is unusually small.

It was a beautiful location and the owner made sure everything was available in case we forgot something. It was nice to be able to get in the car and drive to some great restaurants within a couple of minutes. My only negative comment is that the beds were very hard and uncomfortable.

Very lovely property! The cabin was just adorable, very clean and well stocked will everything you need. Gorgeous view of the lake to relax by the fire pit. Our host and her staff were very easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Amazing Stay!!
Moose Cabin was the perfect getaway for me, my wife, and our pup! There are hundreds of hiking trails within a short driving distance, Lake Placid is super close, and not to mention the cabin itself! It's very spacious and has everything you need. Right on the lake, we were able to take full advantage of the shared canoes, and our personal fire pit, and hammock! 10/10 would recommend!

What a wonderful Christmas we had on Saranac Lake. The cabin was beyond our expectations. So beautiful, wonderfully designed and a fantastic kitchen. The property manager was very accommodating and friendly. We had a Christmas tree and even red tablecloths. We would return for sure.

Lovely quick getaway
Lovely location lakefront with large fire pit. It was easy to find and quiet on the weekend we were there. The cabin was outfitted very well. The water pressure in the showers was good. Huda was responsive and helpful. We would stay again. Thank you!

Great cabin
The cabin was just as advertised. Very clean, well stocked with just about everything you would need. We cooked almost every night on the grill but the stove and oven were awesome. The only negative thing I can say is that you it is close to the main road so you definitely hear cars and close to the public beach which is suppose to close at 6pm but people were there every night and one night there was a lot of yelling and screaming late into the night. Overall the camp is great and very restful.

Adorable cabin!
Cute cabin, small inside, but who wants to be inside when you're on a lake! It was a little unfortunate the public beach was so close, and not patrolled when it was supposed to be closed. The cabins are close, with one dock and one lake access spot. We were in the one with the rocky shore. Neighbors who had the dock also had children that liked to make mud pies on the dock, so it was pretty much inaccessible. Some of the adirondack chairs were broken, the railings were not secure, but with a little TLC, this place could be great!

It was a restful time for us.Many places were closed for the season so I would not recommend going in April but we needed to just relax so we were not expecting anything exciting to happen.In the summer you will have a great time on the water.In the winter you can ski and enjoy the Norman Rockwell Christmas card landscape.

Cozy cabin
The cabin was absolutely perfect. We felt a part of our surroundings and we were truly able to take in the beautiful Adirondack spirit. The kitchen was marvelous. We brought our own dinner kits (Hello Fresh) and they had everything we needed to prepare them, just like home, terrific stove. We watched the Mars rover landing on television (perfect smart TV easy to use) one evening and relaxed with the gas stove going (nights dropped down to low single digits) and a puzzle. The cabin is right on Colby Lake and made for lovely morning coffee vistas. It was no trouble in and out of the property with our SUV. The plow came one morning as we had about 6-8 inches of snow in the night. The cabin made for a perfect ski vacation (Titus MT. Malone, NY). We would definitely love to come back.

The perfect, laid-back break we ALL needed!
The cabin was perfect. The location was perfect! We cooked all meals in and found the kitchen to be lacking in nothing! The weather was as expected, cold and snowy but we were warm and cozy in the cabin day and night! This was a surprise for me! I packed layers, scarves, slippers and extra blankets thinking we'd need them! I was wrong! The cabin is well-insulated and the gas fireplace during the day kept us warm!
Overall a great stay! We'd love to come back when the weather allows for lake use!
