Absolutely loved our stay at Yellowtail Getaway in Marathon, Florida! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the charm and comfort of this lovely property. The location was unbeatable.
The house itself was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, providing a true home-away-from-home experience. We especially appreciated the attention to detail and the well-equipped kitchen. It was clear that the owners had put a lot of thought into making sure their guests feel welcomed and comfortable.
One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the outdoor space. The backyard oasis was like something out of a dream, with an awesome pool, and plenty of comfortable seating areas to relax and soak up the sunshine. We spent several evenings grilling out and enjoying dinner al fresco under the stars—it was pure paradise! On several days, several manatees stopped by to say hello. One afternoon, my son hooked a tarpon in the canal for a spectacular 1-minute show before breaking off!
Furthermore, the property manager, Carlos was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay, ensuring that we had everything we needed to make the most of our vacation.
Overall, our experience at this Yellowtail Getaway exceeded all expectations. We made unforgettable memories exploring the breathtaking beauty of the Florida Keys, and we can't wait to return to this little slice of paradise again soon. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway!

This house was incredibly clean, bright and perfect for our group of 5. Having an unattached studio type bedroom was perfect for one couple. The best part about the place was the heated pool. The weather was cool our week (being from Michigan, we weren't going to let that stop us!) and the temperature of the pool was perfectly warm. We were comfortable even on a mid 60 degree day.
The outdoor area was spacious, with plenty of seating, shade, a grill and ice.
Several in our group enjoyed completing the puzzles that were provided, along with some games.
Even though there are three bathrooms, if you are with friends and prefer to not share, please know that one of you is going to walk to the main living area to use theirs. It was minor and we got used to it very quickly.
Carlos is a wonderful host, communicating expectations very clearly and responding quickly and kindly when we reported a minor maintenance situation.
If you book your stay here, relax and know that you will have a wonderful week!

We stayed here for a week in February. The house was great, very clean and perfect for our two families.
The owner was very responsive, the chairs outback were cracked and he had new ones there the next day, the pool heat also stopped working and he had a maintenance guy over the same day to check it out. Great place

The property was clean and exactly as advertised. Located on a quiet street but was minutes away from the best shopping and restaurants in town. Ample room to lay around by the pool and canal to enjoy the sun. Indoor living space easily handled our group of six. The house was well stocked with the living necessities you would expect with premium lodging. The kitchen was well equipped and would meet any "foodie's" high standards. Our host was easily accessible to handle any questions. We had a fun, laid back experience.

My wife and I had an amazing time at Yellowtail Getaway. When we first arrived the cleaning guy was still there cleaning, a little aggravating but not a huge deal. The house was super clean and everything looked like it did on the listing. This property sits right on the canal where we were able to keep our Waverunner on the davit lift. There was wind blowing from the North so throughout the week the canal filled up with grass. This wouldn’t have been an issue if we had a boat with an outboard but overall the access right to the Gulf was super convenient. The pool was extremely clean and felt amazing after a day on the water. This house had everything that you would need in order to start your stay. There is a Publix right down the road so if you needed anything it’s just a couple of minutes down the road. The neighbors are very friendly and even gave us tips on where to go fishing and attempt to find lobster. This is a quiet neighborhood which we loved. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who is looking to rent a house on the water in Marathon. We had such a great time and we cannot wait to be back.
Also, Carlos was phenomenal at reaching out and responding to any questions or concerns that we had.

We enjoyed Yellowtail. The house was super clean and comfortable for our group of 6 adults and two children. Location was convenient by boat to Vaca Cut and great snorkeling and fishing areas. Kids loved the pool. Carlos was very responsive.

The property was lovely. Everything up to date, well kept, very clean. Close to several restaurants and direct access to the gulf by boat. My only wish would have been to know the owner’s boat was on the property on a lift at the left end of the dock. The “60 feet of available dockage” was an over-site in that if we had rented a larger boat it would’ve been a problem. Carlos was amazing, checking in to ensure everything was going well, very responsive. Overall an amazing stay!

The house was spotless and well equipped. The ice machine and freezer worked well and were super convenient for loading coolers and fish boxes. Pool and patio was a hit after a hot day on the water. Really liked the rolling beverage cart BTW. Probably the only drawback was the location. It's a long run around the island to the Atlantic side and the street was a little tight with a 35" foot trailer but we made it work. Boat ramp nearby on Harbor/Aviation Drive was super convenient. Carlos was very responsive and checked in a few times during our stay to make sure everything was to our liking. Will stay again.

We had such a great stay. The house is PERFECT! My older boys got their own “house” with the detached 3rd bedroom and thought that was very cool. The property was beautiful and so was the house. We kayaked almost everyday and swam everyday. Carlos keeps the pool warm and beautiful which is very appreciated. Many properties charge extra for pool heat. We saw 4 manatee, schools of fish, nurse shark (I think) and pelicans all from our dock. I went out every morning to take it all in! The house was SO SO clean. I was so impressed. This is located at a great area in the island which is close to many activities. We will absolutely stay here again if we come to marathon and highly recommend it to anyone!

We had a wonderful time at the Yellowtail Getaway! The location was great, and the house was perfect for our 3 couple trip. Carlos went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect by contacting us several times just to check in! There were some minor issues that were beyond his control, but they were taken care of quickly and communicated with us.

This home is amazing and exceeded my expectations by far! The house, the yard, the entire property was beautiful and wonderfully kept. Carlos was wonderful to deal with from the very beginning, quick to answer ALL of my questions before booking, and even checked in with us while we were there. I can also say, having the ice machine at the house was so convenient when fishing every day! I wish I could give 10 stars!

This was our best Florida experience to date! The house had so much to offer - it exceeded our expectations. Carlos was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions.
We saw lots of fish, a sea turtle, and even a manatee out on the flats when we went kayaking.

Planned this trip for years. Daughter turned 50 and trip grew to include friends. Rented boat which turned out to be highlight of stay. Lots of room, plenty of space indoor and out. Owner left fishing equipment for us that was a nice perk. Would highly recomend staying here

What a fantastic place to stay! Close to everything and the home was immaculate. Brand new pool and a 5 min boat ride to open water. Accommodated 3 couples with no issues and room for more if needed. Ice machine is a plus. Would definitely do it again.

Great place!
We had the perfect week on Yellowtail! Carlos was VERY prompt with his communication regarding all aspects of our stay. The property was very clean and well appointed. Location was perfect, only a few houses from the gulf and a short ride to the Atlantic side for fishing/diving. The neighborhood felt safe and was very quiet during our stay. The recently added pool was a great addition, our kids enjoyed very much. We will reach out to Carlos again should we be back to the keys in the future!.

Great Stay in Marathon!
This property exceeded our expectations, I was here with family including kids and an infant and everything was amazing. We used the kayaks, pool and fished daily. The canal out back is only a 2 minute kayak ride from the ocean. Incredible stay and highly recommended.

Great Getaway
We loved this property and all that Marathon offers! First, the house - It has great interior finishes. I loved that it was fully gated, so my kids could enjoy the hammock and front yard area. The swim/spa was awesome. The unground pool was such a hit. We fished from the dock every day! It was easy to get the boat (rented from Coco's Boat Rental) in and out of the canal. The neighbor (to the left) was super nice. The house was super clean and all requirements for staying at the house were framed on the wall (ie: trash schedule, emergency contacts). Beds were comfy and they had the cutest little couch with a trundle. It was the perfect home away from home.
Now, for Marathon...it was great. We fished most days. We explored the sandbar by Grassy Key (ocean side) and the other adjacent to 7 mile bridge (ocean side) - I think it was Molasses Key. It was great to be able to boat to dinner and explore around. It was super easy to use Vaca Cut or 7 mile bridge to cross from the ocean to the gulf (bay) side. The winds were calmer on the Gulf (bay) side, so it made our trip that much more enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
Carlos was very prompt when we had an internet outage and checked on us during our stay. He is a top notch property manager. Thanks again!

Just finished a one week stay at this amazing property. This is exactly as described. House was very clean and home was very comfortable. Kayaks, bikes and pool were used daily!! We had a couple issues but Carlos we quick to remedy them for us. If we do another trip to the keys we will definatly stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us

Great 2021 Lobster season
This place was a great location and had the perfect amount of rooms for my family. Loved having the pool and ice machine there for when we got in from diving. Had all of the amenities we could ever want! Will definitely use Carlos again.

Amazing house and location
This property was perfect for our stay during mini season. The house was very clean and had everything in the kitchen you would need to cook with down to a wide variety of spices. The dock was plenty big enough for a 27ft boat and the pool was enjoyable to get in after fishing all day. The ice maker was a huge plus. Thanks for allowing us to stay carlos. Great location. Canal is clear and able to marine life. (Nurse shark, lobsters, crabs, seahorses and of course fish). Kayaks provided which allow you to explore the area. The pool is a refreshing relief after a hot day out and about. The house has anything and everything you need. If back in the keys we will most definitely look up this property for another stay. Carlos is a great communicator and checks in with you via email during your stay just to make sure everything is okay.

Absolutely Perfect
The property is located close to the end of a canal. Within minutes you can be at speed headed anywhere you’d like to go. Property was super clean and virtually everything was provided. Most importantly, it has all those extras that make the trip perfect,… ice machine was a huge time saver, bait freezer was great, the pool was awesome,…. Overall an absolutely perfect property.
