there was an issue with the entrance door. it didnt work when I got home past 11PM. I had been told that there the key might not funtion and in such case I should use a code which disn t work either. i had to call a number weittwn on the door and wait that the concierge from the next building came. luckily he was quick. what would have happened if I had no more battery on my phone or no phone at all on me? very annoying situation.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious, modern and the beds so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with amazing pastries. Only 3 minutes from the main station!

Hotel is conveniently located next door to the city center.

Parking facility is limited.

Simple design but cool and very comfortable. Room was a great size with pretty much everything needed for a city trip.

There is a pillow menu on offer, but we didn't realise there was only a super soft pillow in the room until too late. Would be good to offer a soft and a firm option as standard in the room.

there’s no reception downstairs or emergency if you wanna call someone nobody there…example one lady was stranded downstairs 12am I asked her why she said cause they gave her a key that couldn’t enter her room…she just wait so long nobody came…I mean it’s 12am but emergency it’s dangerous

Thoughtful layout of rooms and extremely helpful staff. Pretty cheap parking conveniently located across the street and a delicious breakfast that is continuously stocked.

Very friendly but most importantly, really personalised service, from when I checked-in to when I checked-out, including a personal welcome note for the complimentary bottles of water in the room. Very good breakfast, the eggs in particular, and the fresh ingredients, again, very personal service. The room was very spacious and I love the style, semi open, very very comfy bed. Location: again great! Very close to the train station without being a "station hotel" and walking distance to the main historic part of town and the museums.

The location

The shower was blocked. We couldn't take a shower after a long day. We didn't get any compansation beside a bottle of shampoo.

Before we arrive I sent many messages through booking.com asking questions or requests, however, most of them are ignored and unanswered. For example I asked two separate covers and sheets but this was ignored. Nest day I asked the cleaning people then there was no problem. I wish they looked at my request and did it before we checkin. I had night guard (put in my mouth while sleeping in order to prevent grinding) rapped with tissue paper and put on the top of sink together with m tooth brush and tooth paste. The first three mornings the cleaning team left it there, but the third day it was gone. I mentioned this to the front desk but I idid not hear anything from them - no word of apology. This is disappointing, I felt as if they did not care at all for what happened to me.

5 of us stayed here for one night on a football trip, 3 separate rooms. Hotel was fantastic, cannot fault anything! The beds are very comfy, location is great (5 min walk to train station), the breakfast was lovely and staff couldn’t be any more helpful.

The fact I only stayed 1 night! Will definitely be back to St Gallen.
