What a truly beautiful location and property. We arrived through winter rains to receive a lovely warm welcome from Cindy and Guy, including tea by a glorious log fire. Our lovely spacious room had wonderful high beamed ceilings and an extremely comfortable bed. The following morning we had a fabulous breakfast. Hewletts Mill is perfect in every way - whatever the winter weather!

Fantastic location, building and the hosts. This place was perfect in more ways than one! So so much more than your regular B&B. I really do hope I get to come back in summer. Cindy and Guy, you are the best hosts! Thank you :)

The room was beautifully furnished with lovely throws and cushions, the bed was extremely comfortable with fresh, good quality linen. It had a good sized bathroom with a shower/bath.
The Internet worked very well and a nice touch was a free bottle of local cider to drink or take home. There was access to a ‘help yourself’ bar area on the 1st floor if you wanted to have a drink before going out.
Great breakfast served by Guy at a huge dining table in the main hall. The usual choice of cereal, yummy sourdough toast, croissants, fresh fruit/rhubarb and ginger compote and yoghurt, followed by a hearty cooked breakfast (several choices available, chosen the night before).
Communication with Cindy and Guy was great, they sent through lots of information to help with our stay and arrival, suggestions for local restaurants, taxis etc.
The house and gardens are absolutely stunning. So much to look at and experience. We’d love to come back in the summer to enjoy the grounds and swimming pool.
Only needing to stay one night, but we were en route to somewhere else!

The house and garden were fantastic. Wonderful waterwheel still working. The extensive garden provided a lovely space to wander. Cindy and Guy were excellent hosts who provided a very good breakfast.

Hewlett’s Mill is a little piece of heaven located near Castle Cary. We had a lovely room with comfy bed. The breakfast was yummy and the hosts were really welcoming. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

Fantastic location, warm welcome from Cindy and Guy to a stunning property and one of the best night's sleep I've had away from home. Quality furnished room, with well thought-out touches everywhere you look. Thoroughly recommended and will be going back when next in Somerset - this place feels like heaven, it's so tranquil. Book with confidence.

Cindy and Guy were wonderful hosts and Hewletts Mill is a beautiful, historic location. Wilfie the puppy stole the show though, making my daughter very happy indeed!

We have stayed at this B&B before, 4 years ago in fact. It is still as lovely as ever. Very wecome hosts. The Mill is gorgeous, in its own grounds. Quirky and just beautiful. Breakfast was a pleasure. A pleasure to stay here.

Beautiful property. Excellent facilities - extremely comfortable and spacious room. Very clean. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating - you’ll be made to feel very welcome. The breakfast is first class. Best I’ve had in a long while

Lovely place, house was a beautiful old house with lovely gardens, and the hosts were very welcoming and informative. The breakfast was great, the rooms were large, very comfortable and to a great standard. A quiet rural location, a good place to relax.

Beautiful, would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a magical place with a running mill and lovely hosts. Incredible, spotlessly kept garden and grounds - it was amazing having a morning stroll there. A bottle of delicious cider made by them was given to us as a gift. Thank you, could not ask for more.
