Atmosphäre außergewöhnlich, liebevoll restauriertes Jugendstilhaus, Lage zur Innenstadt optimal, Service und Frühstück top. Man muss natürlich den Charme des Hauses zu schätzen wissen. Ist nichts für Leute, die ein modernes Hotel möchten. Die Badezimmer sind nachträglich als eine Art zusätzliche Kabine in das Zimmer gut integriert, die Fenster sind noch alte Schiebe Fenster, sind aber zu benutzen. Man kann das Zimmer verdunkeln, Betten sind gut.Die Bar im Haus und der Blick in den Garten nach hinten ist wunderbar. Alles sehr gemütlich.

Sehr steile und knarrende Treppen, die man bewältigen müssen kann. Nichts für gehbehinderte Menschen. Haus etwas hellhörig. Abzug im Bad funktioniert nicht optimal.

De badkamer was erg klein met lastig afstapje,het stoorde ons niet echt maar zal niet voor iedereen praktisch zijn

Lovely old-fashioned hotel with oodles of character great location just off the town centre.

Limited food offering, basically just bar snacks

Very nice people and a extraordinary dinner (we had the big salad). The breakfast is also very diverse and delicious. If you like, you can have some drinks at the hotel-own bar. Can absolutely recommend this hotel! 🙂

Gorgeous room with balcony, lovely bathroom. We were checked in by Yents (?) lovely young man who went out of his way to be helpful.

The room wasn't cheap, although it was lovely, we were annoyed at having to pay €6 for a bottle of water that was in the room. There was nothing to indicate the cost or that it wasn't included in the room price

The hotel was older, but so cool and clean. we loved it!!

Although, at first glance, the vintage look does not inspire modern comfort, everything was excellent. And besides the accommodation, I also liked their whiskey and beer. Also, the cat that "guards" the hotel entrance was cute.

Nothing to complain about this hotel.

Bathroom was a bit small.

The bathroom is small but still very efficient. The breakfast buffet is great. The room is spacious and very convenient especially temperature wise. The presence of the whiskey/bourbon bar with a very knowledgible bartender and a huge selection of whiskeys and bourbons! The art deco style of the monumental hotel.

There is nothing we didn't like about this stay.

Nice place to stay. Very quiet, comfortable bed, very clean room, good shower, reasonable good breakfast, I recommend.

gorgeous property beautifully decorated in every room, lovely touches everywhere like the library snug, ornaments and whisky bottles, panelling and wallpaper. excellent breakfast, cosy comfy room with everything I needed, great shower, lovely staff. this is my third visit, I won’t stay anywhere else.

An eccentric stay that was much improved by lovely staff and a generous breakfast. I turned up late and a smiling receptionist was there to meet me and hoik my heavy cases up two steep flights of stairs, which was much appreciated. There was a good selection of whisky at the bar. Good wifi. Good water pressure.

The place had a touch of the Miss Haversham's about it - a once grand residence, now rather fusty and down-at-heel. My room was a disappointment. It not well insulated, there was a gap between the bed and the wall which made sleeping feel rather precarious. The paint on the woodwork was chipped.

The style of the hotel is what makes it such a good place to stay in. The bar was a small living room with books and games and a mini museum of whisky. Very cosy and original for a hotel. And nothing looks like a hotel. From the street, it looks like any Dutch apartment building. Very easy to feel at home. Furthermore it is very easy to walk from the hotel to the center of town. Impossible or at least very difficult to get lost.
