Resultaat overstromingen in kamer badkamer.

The location, the view and the property is gorgeous - it’s well worth a stay for this alone. The bar lounge with it’s high brick domed ceiling is breathtaking and a lovely place to have a pre dinner drink. The staff in the restaurant were excellent, the food average but the setting with a view is lovely.
The reception staff were sour and unfriendly. We do only speak a little Spanish so there could have been a communication problem. There was a function of sorts the afternoon we arrived and so service in the bar was scarce. The young man who eventually served us was abrupt and bad tempered - tired perhaps from a long day?
The most bizarre thing was the sewer smell in our room when we arrived. All the windows were open and room spray had been used, so we thought someone had used the toilet recently and the plumbing wasn’t what it should be. It persisted. we were about to ask to change rooms when I found dog poop on the rug! I took a photo and then flushed it down the toilet - relived to get rid of the smell. There was a more friendly young woman at reception who we told and showed the photo and she offered to change our room. We had unpacked so declined as the problem was taken care of. This is a no pets hotel, she told us and said perhaps an animal got in the window 🙄? Our windows were 30’ off the ground and none were accessible. We expected some gesture as a apology for lax housekeeping, but none was forthcoming. A complimentary dinner? A bottle of wine? Not even a mention of the incident. Perhaps they didn’t believe us? Perhaps they should check who smuggled in a dog in the days before us!
Our room was recleanef while we were at dinner and resprayed and little white linen mats were laid over the carpets next to the bed. All in all an unfortunate incident that could have been handled much better.

location
the facility has been promoted as a upper class hotel but at the end the rooms are small basic, no nice outdoor or indoor space to chill

Fantastic location in the hills with great views overlooking the city of Jaen. This place has class!
The room was very clean and comfortable with a great view from the balcony. An extra plus for the classical music that was played over the sound system in the hotel and the restaurant. The historical Castle Santa Catalina lies just next door and is very interesting and worth a visit.
The hotel has been renewed with great taste and the decoration is superb. Great breakfast!
The dinner restaurant was not quite living up to the standards of the hotel. We had sea bass fillet that was not very tasty and contained some big bones..

The climb up from the town was exciting (apart from for our little Cinquecento). The entrance lobby set the medievally scene for the rest of the castle which was out of this world. I really enjoyed it as you might have guessed. The bar food and the breakfast were the best we have ever had in Spain. The staff couldn't have been more helpful to create such a premium experience.
The balcony needed a lick of paint.

Beautiful building and decor. Very friendly welcome by receptionist who gave us a much more convenient room. Lovely views from our balcony. Pleasant ambience and light meal in the cafeteria.
Cannot think of anything.

Jaen, the least visited of all Andalucia, is worth a visit. Diners at the Parador were very good, service impeccable. Gracias!
Just a kettle in the room

Amazing views, very friendly staff, nice room, good restaurant, easy to park, comfortable bed ( just not the pillows!). Would recommend.
Really would prefer to have own pillows than the long bolster type pillow. Just personal preference.

it’s like living in a castle! but with all the latest 21st technology
the location - i like that it’s private perched at the top of the mountain
on the downside, its very far from the city centre
the restaurant - ok food at overpriced amount
no bathrobe and slippers
few staff speaks English.

Nice historic castle.
Tremendous views.
You have to have a balcony!!!
Started off with a room without a balcony. It felt like being in a cupboard. Had to change it immediately.

the location was fantastic and beautiful inside.
The shower leaked onto the floor and the drains on occasions caused a smell in the room. Also the noise of rubbish bins being emptied up until really late at night.

Lovely view over the hills but would have been much happier with a wider balcony. No information on this when making the booking.
Uninspiring restaurant menu. The bar snacks were more satisfying.
