Nice old hotel, just the style I like. Located in the center.

At 6 in the morning, loud drilling noise in the room beside.

The location is very convenient, in front of Valenciennes train station.
Size of the room is great.
Kids enjoyed the foosball table in the bar.
We had two rooms one was very noisy. We could ear a lot of noise from the street at night, probably people coming out of bar or disco.
Some towels were in very bad condition.
The lift is tiny, only one adult, one child and a big suitcase fit in it.
This hotel would need a good refurbishing (carpet, wall...).
Our review is based on the price of the room, for this price we expected better quality.

The location was ideal for our day visit to Le Quesnoy.
Staff were welcoming and we enjoyed an evening snack because the restaurant was closed.
A very good breakfast, fit for purpose.
We were able to store our luggage the following morning after checkout.
Overall we enjoyed our one night stay in this historic hotel.

Free parking. Dog allowed. Refrigerator and fan in the room.
Relatively dirty room (bathroom, ceiling). Shabby room with carpet on the wall. Very narrow. Tiny window. Unpleasant smell. Thick and relatively hard pillows. Few electrical outlets. In need of renovation. Poor breakfast with disgusting scrambled eggs.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with ample choice. Location was excellent for rail travel.

the location and the facade!
the staff ! Big racketeering going on ! They make you book apartment type room on booking dot com but refuse to give you the same room . They sell prebooked rooms in cash on site . They refuse to respect your booking and asked us to go to another hotel after charging us for the full amount. I had to fight for more than an hour to get a lower grade room from what I had booked . we had a baby reached late but the hotel staff didn’t care at all . There is no courtesy whatsoever they are rude and disrespectful.

Excellent location right in front the Valenciennes gare. Easy access and classic look
Rooms and hotel in general are dated. The lift has a mind of its own and it can get bumpy sometimes.
