Location and presentation

Staff were great. Rooms were comfortable. Facilities and grounds were good for able-bodied people. A lovely green setting close to the Nottingham suburbs.

Standard of food and drink only adequate, Inconvenient location for public transport users. My Mother would have described the ambiance versus delivery as "All fur coat but no coarse cotton underwear.

Everything was of a very acceptable standard.

Every evening dinner service was very S-L-O-W regardless of whether we ate in the bar or the restaurant - over an hour each time.

The staff were exceptional. Every single member of staff we encountered during our stay went above and beyond to ensure that our trip was memorable. The hotel had all the facilities we were expecting and set in beautiful grounds. Would definitely stay again.

Whilst the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice to cater for everyone, the evening menu was a little limited.

Lovely property, really nice room. Looks to have been recently refurbished, and done very nicely.

There were a couple of functions on when we stayed and although we could t hear the function noise from our room the noise of other guests and banging doors went on all night The rooms were great but the pillows are dreadful, was like sleeping on rocks! Breakfast - food very good but the restaurant was packed and we were left to wait until someone else left and jump into their seats. We had to ask twice to have the table cleared and get fresh cutlery

the food was warm the bedroom window on the ground floor had a latch lock on it. the bathroom was acceptably clean they left popcorn for the children

glasses in room had old lipstick on them toilet did not flush properly We booked the room in December for our trip and stay on 28th April April 21st we received an email stating that the swimming pool (the main reason for choosing this hotel was for our autistic son to avail of it) was not available for children this was not in the main description on the website for months we had done preparation work on our son about how he would be able to swim. the entire trip was ruined there was no rest no consoling him no apology when my husband asked why we were not told about this when we booked why leave it until we could not cancel or book elsewhere (we were already on our journey to the hotel) we felt very scammed and our son is still upset such is the nature of Autism

Being able to book just 1 night. Plenty of places to be able to sit and relax

The main reception was grand and we were greeted by the resident tawny owls twit-twooing! The swimming pool was a great size . We thought it was cool. Our well behaved dog was made welcome. The room was the perfect temperature. There was a great choice for breakfast.

Unfortunately delegate's and visitors to the conferences were smoking and vaping in the entrances, and they smell! I like good breads, but there was only cheap wholemeal left for breakfast. We waited until the corporate guests had eaten and there no pastries left for us either.

We liked how clean and modern it was. we also like the spa facilities.

one thing that could have been better is the restricted time of the children being in the pool.

Breakfast was good. The room as clean and served a purpose. Parking was good. I have stayed here a few times and would do again.

Okay for work. It’s functional but lacks a personal touch. I would stay again for work but probably not if I was paying for my wife and I to stay.

Room and facilities excellent

Evening meal was disappointing for the standard of hotel this clearly is. Breakfast was excellent

Breakfast was so nice, room was big and very comfortable, the whole place was such a nice place, staff at times were unsure on what to do at times especially when given a question, the bar on the Sunday I do feel should be maned all the time had to wait a long time to be serve but all in all was a lovely stat.

This is a conference type hotel also used for weddings. I use it as a stop over point when visiting the area. Plus points for me are the gardens which are nice to wander round in summer.

Lovely refurbished room

Nothing always stay here when visiting family around Derbyshire

Beautiful facilities, rooms & grounds at this stay. We got to see squirrels running around every morning & had a wonderful breakfast.

There was no aircon or fans in the room and staying during summer meant it was quite warm.

Excellent accommodation at a great price

Lovely stay. Would go back again. I recommend it for a relaxing weekend away and I noticed it pet friendly for those with dogs. Lovely

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very good.

Evening meals took ages to arrive. Even in the bar, pizza ordered at just after 5 o'clock when no-one else eating and it took 40 minutes to arrive.
