The room was spacious and clean

I booked The Suite on the pretence that we were getting an extra-large bed (181-210cm wide)as listed on the room description,the actual bed was a 5' king , not!!!!!what we paid for ,"SLEEP COMFORT" The room is overpriced at £170 with no breakfast inc and (booking.com)has taken the booking on false advertising\information.It still states on the website an extra large bed, so beware):yet to be updated Only one of the 4 radiators in the suite were working so when getting back to the room that evening it was cold. I have emailed the manager Simon as of the 16th April and have had no reply from him which is again very poor customer relations as an explanation and feedback would be appreciated.

Parking (behind hotel), friendly reception, speedy access to room, room very cosy with quality fixtures, coffee machine, variety of tea bags and excellent bathroom soaps etc.

Ok being picky the steam filter in bathroom was blocked. The tap heads were loose and there was some mold around shower. I mention these because they really are easy to fix.

stayed in the suite and couldn’t be more happy with the room absolutely fantastic for the price well worth it

Location, restaurant serves the most amazing food. Beautiful room fully stocked with water coffee tea and could restock yourself from reception

the mattress was so uncomfortable

Lovely room, bathroom and pub downstairs! The Bathroom was super modern and new and the bedroom was really spacious. We stayed here as we were going to a wedding nearby so super convenient and we had access to get in once the pub closed as well.

I struggled to get hold of anyone for a number of weeks before our booking via email or phone as I was getting an item delivered there. This is no reflection on the the service/room or facilities of the hotel that was great!

Location and had parking

The boutique bedroom was more like room for a bed. Bathroom facilities excellent. On a freezing night the radiator remained like warm At least the Bathroom had a heated towel rail Excellent breakfast

The George Townhouse is an excellent destination in every respect - comfort, facilities, accommodation. Old world hospitality with modern facilities.

the room needed a good clean eg tea over the skirting boards , bathroom floor and there was a lot of hair in the bed

it’s location is great the village is lovely lots of little bars and restaurants the hotel is central and the hot spot of the town good food good drinks and nice rooms

parking could be a little tricky but I always parked

Staff were friendly, meals were great and overall had a relaxing stay.

excellent in-room equipment. characterful old building, well-decorated with fitting antique furnishings mixed with the modern where appropriate. really helpful, pleasant but non-intrusive staff.

parking had the potential to be a bit tricky; 2-hour limit outside and very small hotel car park…but free car park in the village only 2 minute’s walk away.

Atmosphere and helpfulness of staff.Room and bathroom spacious and comfortable. My wife felt unwell after the first evening meal and the manager was brilliant-called for an ambulance and was very attentive.

Service at breakfast was haphazard, no one person was there to take the cooked meal order, it seemed like as a member of staff wandered through on a job they would come to the table to see whether anything was needed!

exactly as described/ pictured on the website, bar area below was really friendly and welcoming, nice to just relax in. room was decorated beautifully and really comfy

we managed to nab a parking space directly outside and the hours we were staying meant it was free, but I imagine this would be a pain if there wasn’t space
