The hotel had many quality touches. Immaculately presented. Molton Brown in the bathroom. Spacious room. Superb radio and tv. Lovely lounge with real fire. V good food. Would definitely go there again.

Rooms were spacious.

My husband's main course was inedible. Bedrooms were roasting. Lack of hot water in the morning so the shower was barely warm. We turned up 5 mins early to breakfast and member of staff was determined to make us wait until the correct time so group of people milling around. Would have been better if they had seated us all and asked to wait until they were ready. They then brought cooked items to the table without clearing dirty crockery so we ended up juggling multiple plates.

Hotel was selected as overnight stop after our trip to France, so it was very handy for the A1 on-off ramps. And so relaxing. Staff were very friendly, dinner was very very good and breakfast had a great selection. Definitely recommend if you feel like a bit of luxury.

wow, what a place. true high quality from start to finish

lively bunch using colourful language in the restaurant who didn’t seem to care about other guests. staff made no effort to get them to keep the noise down.

Lovely location, and has the most comfortable bed. The room had a nice bathroom with a walk-in shower. Please note some rooms are only accessible by stairs . Excellent breakfast in a nice restaurant.

The hotel and staff are as you would expect very friendly and mostly helpful. The rooms and hotel are clean and well maintained to the level you would expect for the high price (for Yorkshire).

The gluten free offerings when it came to meals. The availability of proper coffee was terrible for the price of the hotel. The (gluten free) breakfast was reminiscent of the quality and blandness of the 90’s. Few options, poorly explained, you’d get better service and flavour at a Wetherspoons. We were also there for a wedding and the food for that was existent but the difference in quality/taste was very disappointing

there is no specific bar area. most of the food was good but the menu is very limited - so if you’re staying for more than one night there is very little choice. waiting to get served at times was difficult.

What an absolutely exquisit Hotel. Upgraded at no extra cost and the staff were lovely and freindly. A really relaxing and calm atmosphere. Breakfast was delightful and the evening meals are outstanding vaule. I just cant wait to go back.

I couldnt fault the hotel absolutely nothing about the it that I didnt like.
