Room spacious and well laid out, dinner excellent, breafast plentiful

Dejlig stort værelse, hyggeligt og rart, vi slappede af. Meget venlig modtagelse. Værelserne ligger i separat bygning, så ingen støj fra restaurant og bar. Hyggelig udendørs terrasse ved kroen. Hyggelig restaurant med super lækker mad, det var endda muligt at få serveret dejlig grøntsagsret - grøntsager får man ellers ikke mange af i det sydlige England.

It was pretty, clean, comfortable, large rooms, lovely staff

We would have liked dinner but at 8:43pm was told the kitchen closes at 8:45pm. The manager said that’s normal everywhere. I’m afraid I’ve never had this before anywhere only maybe last orders at 9 in a few places. Had to eat the remnants of our lunchtime picnic in the garden. Apart from that it’s a lovely hotel.

Olde worlde inn, room large with comfortable bed, large bathroom with good shower, ver quiet with efficient triple glazing. Restaurant very good food, very efficient and friendly staff. Enjoyed the live music as a bonus. Good selection at breakfast. Highly recommend.

Cannot think of anything

Ausserordentlich schöne Unterkunft etwas ausserhalb von Southampton. Ruhige Lage und superschöne Zimmer mit jeglichem Comfort. Das Zimmer was supersauber und das Bad perfekt eingerichtet. Beim Frühstück gibt es ein kleines Buffet mit Gebäck und ein bisschen Joghurt und Saft. Daneben kann man sich aus dem Frühstücksmenu etwas aussuchen, dass dann frisch zubereitet wird. Die jeweiligen (hohen!) Kalorienangaben sind leider nicht besonders inspirierend und man hat Tendenz sich zurückzuhalten... Das Dinner habe ich dann im selben Pub zu mir genommen und habe noch selten so fantastisch gegessen wie an dem Abend!

Es wäre alles perfekt gewesen wenn der Rezeptionist nicht vergessen hätte am Vorabend mein Taxi zu buchen. Am nächsten Morgen wurde es deshalb ein wenig "hektisch". Ansonsten gibt es wirklich überhaupt nichts auszusetzen!

always comfortable as we have stayed many times but management has changed

since management has changed breakfast options have been reduced. you used to offer salmon and scrambled eggs which was a favourite and the management are not as customer friendly as Matt who always made a point of chatting to customers.

Breakfast was good. Evening dining was good. Good staff.

Having Booked a Double room We did not expect to get an accessible room, this was never hinted on booking, nor checking in and I did not request it. Showering in a huge open space is not my idea of nice. Bed is very soft feels like if sags in the middle.

We have stayed a few times and it's been good this time we were put in room 10 and for a pair of 70 year old it was not good had to kneel down to make a drink as it was situated on a box under a sloping roof and the sofa or put up bed was quite stained.
