Facilities, location, parking, very helpful staff especially in ski shop, coped well with late evening arrival, classy entertainment in bar, free shuttle bus to restaurants, cage lift directly across road, ski shop in basement, ski-in to ski shop storage when weather permits which it did when I stayed. The best place I’ve stayed in over many years going to Alpe d’Huez.
Quite expensive but worth it, slightly grubby sauna cabin floor, which I mentioned and staff apologised,

Ce complexe est magnifique et l’endroit très agréable. Le personnel est prévenant dans certaines limites
Deux fois, j’ai demandé un room service en vain. J’ai oublié mon maillot de bain, j’ai appelé et j’attends toujours leur retour…

Everything is perfect. We enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool and the spa. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. And the staff is. Very friendly.
Nothing.

Nice location, great interior, very friendly and helpful staff
Room was rather old.
Beakfast is nice but you have to be early to have some choice left as refills can take some time.
The restaurant serves great food, but portions are very small.

We loved the pool/spa area. This was a big plus for our kids. Proximity to mountain biking was also key.
It was the "off-season" and so there was a lot of construction going on in the area, and many restaurants were closed, and so we ate at the property one night. We thought La Ferme was disappointing. Our kids are 10 and 12 years old, and they didn't find anything in the kids room that was for them.

the bedroom with the balcony.
the pool very small and windows from other building overlooking
the restaurant : not a great choice
4.2
Breakfast Superb choice, well cooked, the only thing missing was marmalade
Location Near a selection of restaurants- within easy walking of most things
Room itself (a Classic) was small and had no view to speak of., though that didn’t bother us . Also there was a lot of noisy building work next door (not the fault of the hotel). Underground hotel car park was a separate charge and quite expensive
4.2
Roof pool, hot tub, parking inside, friendly staff, mountain view, spa, gym.
The restaurant, quality of food and personnel, lack of personnel (eg behind the bar and in the restaurant), bad cook, would not eat there again.
4.2
Hospitality at the front desk was excellent.
Diner was not so good. We received the main course but not the wine we ordered. We received the wine after the main course was done.

the stuff was absolutely amazing! Such nice and attentive people that try to help you with every minor inconvenience and make you feel very welcomed
A lot of equipment does not work. Our room had a non-working fridge, a broken light and a hair dryer fixed with a piece of paper. The rooms are clean, but the terrace and common facilities like sauna and swimming pool really need a good vacuum or replacement of floor, as the terrace had cigarettes stuck between the wooden pieces of the floor. The 45 min access to the SPA area is also a joke, as instead of relaxing you have to constantly check if you are on time.
The rooms are relatively cheap off-season, but you end up paying so much extras for everything else that the price difference does not really matter at the end.

property is very nice, modern, but the look fit the external environment

Access to the spa has to be booked way in advance, is rather expensive and the facilities have nothing special.
The outdoor jacuzzi is just in front of the La Ferme d’Hubert restaurant which is not very pleasant.

Amazing hotel with great personnel. Very clean, modern. Highly recommended!!!

Kids/toddlers room full of games and toys.
Luxurious spa.
Very affordable for a 5* hotel during off-season.
Very friendly staff.
Nice room with beautiful views.
Lighting in the room was a bit too dim.
Breakfast was expensive (25€ per person) hence we skipped it.

The restaurant!

The hotel looks very nice, it is situated at a very convenient location in the village. The garage is convenient as there is no street parking nearyby. The view from the swimming pool deck is great.
The design of the room was curious at best. Between the bed and the wall there was only room to set down your feet lengthwise. Between the washbasin and the bathtubscreen an average person could stand but not bend (brushing teeth was a challenge). Our first evening we dined in the hotel, it was alright but not worth the price. Two (not very good) double espresso's on the terrace were €16 and I did not book breakfast but it was added to the final bill anyway...good thing I was paying attention. The hotel is probably great if you have no money concerns.

The Grandes Rousses is a lovely hotel with friendly staff, great facilities and spectacular views. We had two nights here in September and loved every minute. Sitting in the hot tub on the terrace, looking out over the mountain views was wonderful. Rooms were comfortable and well equipped and breakfast was superb. I'm currently looking for an excuse to go back!
We found our room a little warm at night and, without air conditioning, had to sleep with the sliding door slightly open. Although the food in the restaurant was lovely, the menu choices were very limited and the menu wasn't available until quite late in the day, by which time it was too late to make alternative arrangements, particularly in the off-season when very few other restaurants at the top of the mountain were open.

so comfy
