Parking was great. Brilliant location. Hotel was very clean. Staff wee great. Breakfast was top notch. Really could not have had a better stay.

Very comfortable beds, clean good quality furnishings. A step up to the shower but was OK. The fridge in the room was a big plus. Breakfast was lovely but expensive at €20 each. Secure parking on site €12 a day, which was very handy and a reasonable price. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and did everything to help you feel at home. We would definitely stay here again.

Cannot understand why the bar closes at 10pm on a Friday and Saturday night at the height of the season. Several people wanted a drink from a hot chocolate to a digestif. Easily 10 people one night. Management needs to address this. Many guests were not impressed.

I like a larger bed due to my height and frame. Assistance with arranging transport to and from the port would be a nice addition.

The position was perfect. The rooms were clean

The air conditioning was not working we were told it was not warm enough to have it on and it was not possible to turn it on!! What’s strange is it was working for one of the group! Breakfast last day was lesser I was 30min later than previous three days though still an hour before the end and there were significant items missing ie run out. No croissants in France!!

Well located in the centre of Caen. Helpful that it had a car charge point.

We fail to see how this is rated a 4* hotel - there weren't even proper mugs in the room, just paper cups. It just felt so soulless and unwelcoming. Also, the window was ill-fitting and the wind howled through it so loudly we knew we would be unable to sleep, so we went elsewhere. We paid in advance for three nights, but spent only a couple of hours there. When she heard that we would not be staying, the lady on reception said that she would see about getting us a partial refund, but we have since been told that no refund will be given. We are extremely disappointed with our experience and will not be staying in a Mercure hotel again.
