The view was the best thing.
Breakfast was poor, coffee weak and untasty, The cereals were moldy.

Spacious room and bathroom, nice view to the river, nice location next to the bicycle path, good restaurant and friendly staff. I would say good ratio of price/quality.

The bed in the room was not 1 extra-large double bed , it was twin beds

Everything was perfect, except coffee and beds.
The breakfast coffee was tasteless and the bed mattress was too soft.

Being able to bring our dogs with us, also the price per dog is fair (10 euros per dog). The room was clean and comfortable, and there is a parking outside for free. The breakfast was also very nice, with views to the river

The management were very helpful, food was excellent though a bit pricey. Location excellent and my one night stay was comfortable andvrestfull.

Facilities were not up-to-par for what I consider a decent hotel experience. I’m not expecting to be staying at the Ritz, but even most budget hotels nowadays have a certain minimum level of amenities: a mini-fridge (with or without minibar), in-room safe, in-room coffee service (even if it’s just a hot water pot with teabags and instant coffee). This hotel had no safes and no coffee service. Furthermore, since I’m in Germany I’m used to people not having air conditioning, but most hotels at least have a fan in the room. This hotel had none, and on a day when it was 97 degrees F., I was unable to sleep that night.
In addition, the hotel’s own brochure and website mentioned that they could arrange securing tour tickets, etc., for sights in Meissen, but when I asked about it at the front desk, they not only said no, but acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about. I even mentioned, “It’s in your brochure saying that you do,” but I got no cooperation. Also, the prices mentioned for food & drink items on the in-room menu were NOT the prices charged at the restaurant (the actual prices charged were higher, only about 50 cents per item, but still, it’s the principle).
